schedule is up. Its a flex schedule so doesn't matter when or in what order you play your games. Hopefully people can average two games a week.

A few rules for now.

No fast breaks unless its after a steal or a block.

Must play on ball defense.

Basically play some sim basketball. Spread the ball around, don't try do to everything with your star player. Dont just go for dunks or 3's, majority of points should be midrange jumpshots. Dont run up the score.

we have 19 people interested and the number of teams in the league will depend on how many are still interested in the end.

For the team pick order I numbered everyone in order from 1 to 19 then got the list from random.org. so here it is

I already joined the original league..but it seems to be not happening?

Either way, im interested in this one as well.
 
i'd be interested as well...at least we can get this non-draft league going first since we dont have to wait for the draft to be fixed
 
I'm interested in a non-draft league. Still would like Chicago Bulls. One Problem I have is my 360 just died and I am awaiting the coffin box for the memorial services. The three red lights of doom called.

I have the game but would not be ready to play until I get my new system.
Probably will not have a 360 for about a week and a half. If that is too long to wait let me know.
 
I'd be interested. I ordered the game yesterday, so hopefully it'll be here in a week or less. If not, I'll go rent it when my game is scheduled!
 
Interested...I ordered the game on Monday, should be here by this weekend/Monday-ish. I'd assume we won't be ready to even start arranging it for a few days yet.

I'd also prefer a "no-draft" league since scheduling a draft seems to be a hassle, but either way is ok.

this is indeed a no-draft league as the draft league is in a separate thread...

and it seems like the spots in this league are filling up fast

i'm guessing we will be "calling teams" pretty soon after all the spots fill up?

thanks for reading the first post. will you still play if you don't get the bulls? From the other thread I get the impression that you will quit if you dont get the bulls.

Yeah, don't worry about it. We won't start till next week so you and walt jay have time to get the game. And it will be with regular teams.
 
update

I take a more hands off approach to running leagues. Since we all have responsiblities (school, work, ect.) it will be up to you guys to keep up with the league and league news. I will rarely PM people but if you are seriously interested in the league then you shouldn't have any trouble keeping up with it.

for right now this is how updates will be. Ill edit the title of the thread with the date of the update and maybe a link in the op but the update will be in the thread. like this post.

So for now I'll just see how sign up go til friday afternoon then see where to go from there.

I'm a Bulls guy I am from Chicago and lived here all my life. Now I am pretty sure no one wants the Bulls but me. I do have other teams I would be interested in using so I would not quit the league.

I don't know why you keep asking me this but I would not quit the league.

I have already competed in other CAG leagues in the past with no problems so I don't see why there is an issue.

I really was not originally interested in a draft league i the first place but I just wanted to compete and have fun in a basketball league this year. I am pretty excited to find out that we are going to have a CAG non-draft league.

My main question is about the fact my 360 is dead and I will not have one for a about a week and a half. Now is this a problem? Please let me know.

like i said its just the impression i got from the other thread. sorry. as for the xbox it depends if we do a regular schedule or flexible. But for no its not a problem.

Not a problem. I hope I get my xbox back before you start the league. I am really excited about getting into the league. :D
 
yea, it seemed like you were gonna quit if you didnt get all of your bulls players in the other league...that one guy mentioned drafting wallace, and you responded with something along the lines of "well, now i dont know if i want to be in this league anymore"...that's what led to these conclusions, but if that's not the case, then great...we can't always have the teams we want and i know many people want teams like dallas, miami, san antonio, etc...and this year the bulls are actually a very good team, so don't just assume nobody else wants them ;)

I sent you a PM DT778 but It looks like I got my Bulls! I also still have the whole broken 360 issue so if it is a problem please let me know. I am expecting the shipping box tomorrow and then about ten days to get it back.

Hopefully it will be cool because I really want to play in the league and have some fun.

I was online the other day but I just brought my hard drive to my friends house. If you need me to join the league so you can get things started I might be able to go back to his house and slap my HD on his system to join the league.

updated the op with the picks so far. And thanks everyone for getting back to me so quickly.

We will need a replacement so hopefully someone is interested or else we will have to cut it down to 18 teams.
