cause when i returned my games to price adjust the dumb b*tch behind the counter must have been her first day took an hour then missed my snowblind for xbox and screwed me out of one of my games

Ok, what do you guys think about this...returning a sealed copy of THUG2 that I got from CC to Wal-Mart for a sealed copy of the PS2 game (priced the same).

I'm having my doubts about doing that...

I'm not banking on their ignorance, I'm asking if it's morally acceptable to you CAGs or not. There's definitely a code of ethics when it comes to this, and I was on the fence with this particular instance.

Thanks for the response Shrike, I'll give it a shot sometime in the next few days. Hopefully this can be resolved quickly and painlessly, and I won't need to call any corporate offices to get the extra 10%.

Even if you do get it, a call to CC corp to let them know you had to go back a second time to get a PM according to their policy is always helpful. They're always happy to know when there's an issue out there, even if it's fixed on a second trip.

I don't see a problem at all. Honestly, don't care about what your peers think of you. As long as you follow the guidelines, do what is best for you. If you still think it is morally wrong, don't do it. Do what will make you sleep at night best. If you told me you were buying 10 copies of SRS to make $400 profit at WalMart, then I could see something wrong with that.

I picked up Baten Kaitos at a Best Buy 'cause i knew they'd be sold out at CC. Then I went to CC to see if there was anything left, and I got SNK vs. Capcom
and King of Figters Maximum Impact(the 2 disc one, although I don't know if theres anyother one).

I really dont need SNK or King of Fighters, so if anyone is interested, PM me. Im willing to sell them, or trade them. What i'm really looking for is Thief Deadly Shadows, so if anyone wants to do it, let me know.

To answer your questions, yes, I had success in PM'ing it to the $9.99 price from $34.96, so it was $9.99 today.

The Eye Toy Groove is the one w/o the camera.

You gotta be kidding me... we do the 110% PM at my store all the time. In fact I use this on a daily basis to earn extra sales - hey, even if its only in my "meagar" music/movies department you got to as a sales associate use the tools and policies to your advantage in order to both earn a customers trust and obviously make your company more money.

Good luck waxHead with your situaton, I don't see why they couldn't PM you the 110% as by doing so it certainly works out to help CC in the long run (by providing good customer service obviously), along with helping you out by saving you a little extra money. Everyone wins. :applause:

I went back to PM my 4 games, but GTA was still 34.96 as well at mine. The other three games worked fine. It wouldn't work at the sharpstown CC in Houston. I'm wondering if maybe its not on the list at some CCs?

My guess is that it could be that CC corp didn't send all the markdowns thru the system properly so some games aren't coming up at their new $9.99 prices.

I did it today with Project Snowblind. My CC only had the Xbox version and I needed the PS2 version so I went to Wal-Mart. Its probably wrong, but I dont have an Xbox anymore and wanted Snowblind so it was the only choice (besides trying to trade it for the PS2 version on here, but that would be a hassle somewhat).

Well my store (Santa Monica) opened at 10:00 even though it says 11:00 online so I missed most of the good stuff. The only thing I found that I was looking for was Transformers. Really wanted Bloodrayne 2 XBOX and Baiten Kaitos.

Saw some guy at the store with a huge basket full of games, probably an ebayer, man I hate the hoarders. Couldn't hit any other stores in Los Angeles because I was already late leaving town. Might try another store tomorrow, but it is probably useless.

Same thing happened to me, but I got so damn lucky and still got everything I wanted (except POP:WW) Then, I went to another CC, and got POP:WW. Awesome day.

I managed to get SOCOM with the headset for $10, it also rang up $30 but I asked an employee to check it with the list of games he had and the SKU matched up. Just make sure to have them check the list and you'll be fine.

Well, I've never ordered games from them until this sale, but I've ordered DVDs which are the same size cases. They put them in the cardboard wraps, that fold around the merchandise and then have glue to seal them really tight. Hard to explain, but imagine a large rectangle of cardboard place the game in the right 1/3 of the cardboard, fold up the top and bottom so it won't fall out the sides then fold the middle third on top of the game and wrap the first third around and seal it with really sticky glue that's not coming undone. Stick a label on and you're done.

Of course I've never ordered any more than 2 DVDs at a time from them. Perhaps they will use boxes if you've ordered more. I ordered the max of 8 items in one order and then another 5 titles in a second order.
 
I was able to get a .hack//outbreak and would love to trade it for a Baten Kaitos, the only game I really wanted in this sale. If anyone is interested, let me know via PM. ^_^

K, thanks for the info. I guess they ship just like Ebgames then? Or is it worst? Well it doesn't matter anyway cuz I'm going to order Project Snowblind for 10 bucks from them.
 
hell I couldn't find much I was out of town and picked up Nightmare of Druaga coudn't find any MM anniver or POP 2. DOes CC let you return items out of city, state btw?
 
Yes technically they should allow you to return all unopened items to ANY CC store anywhere in the US as long as you have the recepit within 30 days. Make sure they adjust the tax to your home state or you could be short a few dollars/cents.

No luck for me at 3 stores. Looking for BK, PoP: WW and MMAC for Cube. The closest I saw was a MMAC thrown in the $10 bin, but was marked $25. I decided not to try it. Almost picked up Bloodrayne 2 and KoF Collection as a consolation, but couldn't bring myself to do it. :whistle2:(
 
tdphillips, I was in the same boat. But since I didn't partkate in last summer's clearance - I decided to muster some courage and ask if the games I picked from the bin were $10, even though they still had their original price tags. They said yeah and that they had associates that would perioidically check to make sure non-clearanced games were kept out of the bins. It so happened the game I asked him to check, KOF, was a game he specifically remembered as being part of the deal, so he said it wasn't necessary to price check.

Thanks to the lists here and on www.passwird.com - I was able to buy the following:

KOF: Maximum Impact Collectors Edition (PS2)
Rumble Roese (PS2)
Gungrave Overdose (PS2)
Baiten Kaitos (GCN)
Chronicles of Riddick (XBX)
Project Snowblind (XBX)

If anyone needs Baiten Kaitos, my Circuit City had about a dozen or so copies and about 2 dozen WWF Day or Wreckonings for the GC. I'd glady buy one for people at cost + tax + whatever shipping method + $1 for envelope/time.

I'm also willing to trade the two Xbox titles for preferably Megaman Anniversary Collection (GC) and some other title because I don't have (nor want) an Xbox. Just thought I would pick them up as trade fodder. And no I'm not a scheming hoarder - these titles were available when I went there at 2 in the afternoon (store opened at 10am).

As long as the games are on the list, they DO show up as the sale price... you have to realize there were tons of games... after doing about half of the games at my CC it looked like they got tired and just dumped the games in the bin

If by some wierd chance they did show up the sticker price... just say you dont want to buy it... probably too late with some of those titles you wanted....
