I'm just not happy that they lied about the reprint for both of these games. As the site might suggest I am a cheap-ass gamer, and saving $40 on these two games makes a big difference for a college kid.
I just wanted to play them, but now I'm not sure if I want to open them and just sell them off on eBay, then get some new copies from my Gamestop's used game bin.
Yes I'm pleased to get these games but I still feel ripped off.
I do believe that someone called Atlus (multiple times) and even Atlus denied the reprint. So, I guess you should be upset with Atlus then too.
Being upset with both companies seems pretty narrow sighted. Atlus did not have to do any reprints at all. I think the MSRP of these games back in the day was $50, so they basically turned back the clock and let us lazy who never purchased them the first time get another chance.
I am in College too. I bought these two games too. I opened them and already played through most of Rhapsody. I'm never going to sell them, so the value does not matter to me. I bought them to play, not profit. Besides with the rediculous ebay (and amazon if you use that) fees, it's hardly worth selling unless you don't care about profit and just want to get rid of it.
Also, $50 is standard pricing for games right now. Previous generations it was more. And rumor has it next generation will once again raise the prices higher then the current generation.
From reading this forum, my impression is that if games are cheaper people spend more money, not less. They don't care about quality. If the game is mediocre, but fairly priced they buy it. I really can't believe some of the crap people on here buy (even it's cheap - 5 $10 games is still $50 no matter what way you look at it and I would rather have 1 great game then 5 mediocre games).
