New DS lite color - in Japan

IT HAS BEGUN!!!!!
Japan will get 3 more colors before we see one more. And it will be gay. Who needs black when you have gay blue? Take my word folks, nintendo hates america too much to release any decent colors (besides white).
 
I wonder why they won't release it in black in Japan.

Our sales here in the USA seemed strong enough to warrant another color at launch besides white. Of course they can take as much time now as they want - I'll be ticked if they release it in another color I like so soon. I can't justify buying another one.

MAybe this would get more people's attention in General gaming forum. I think some cags would want to import this one for a wife or girlfriend.

The white is damn nice looking in my opinion. If I had my choice of any color I'd maybe have gone with black, but no complaints from me with the white.
 
Honestly, it looks like the color of birth control pill containers. Which means it goes well with stuff in a woman's purse.

I love Pink but when I first saw the new pink I couldnt help but think Homo Pink. Honestly I rock a pink cowboy hat, paint my nails multiple colors(at once) and Iv carried a power puff girl purse....but id feel gayer then Ryan Seacrest at an asian lady boy party walking around with that thing.
 
The only colors I'd be interesting in that would most likley have me sell/trade my DSlite would be LIME color from the Gameboy Color series..as well as whatever that.. Turquoise color was. They were awesome.

So yeah, Lime or Turquoise DSLite I'd def get. Black, Silver, Pink, etc don't really have that much of an appeal to me because EVERYTHING is Black White Silver and Pink these days.

Anyone remember the name of that Turquoise GBC?
 
It was a Game Boy Pocket - Arctic Blue.

It is the rarest Game Boy other than the Game Boy Light.

This was called Artic Blue?? I think the Artic Blue was one of the see through colors.. But, I could be wrong.

Wasn't that purple one the FIRST GBC that came out? Then eventually the other ones came out? That see through one.. I think THAT one was called artic blue.

If they released DS Lites in those colors..Well, I'd like that :) I really thought all those colors (Minus the yellow) were awesome. I miss my green GBC :(

I've heard of, but do not remember Gameboy Light. Did this come to North America??? And by the look of it, I guess this was the After Gameboy, but before Gameboy Color. Actually it's smaller.. so I guess this was after "Gameboy Pocket".

Wasn't there an old pic of Wii (Revolution then) and it had White, Black, Red, Green systems??? I hope I can get me at least a lime green Wii :D

Hehe I agree. I like it when I have a color choice, but really I dont care that much. If the games are good I dont care if its white, black, blue or freaking rainbow colored.

Oh it's not really a big deal. But it IS nice to have a choice of color. The only reason IMO is that.. it's more "personal" meaning "This is the one I want". Again--no big deal at all. Just nice to have options :p

I'm sure if the DS Lite launched in some kind of hot pink.. there'd be TONS of people who'd be against it and it--sadly--probably wouldn't have sold nearly as many as the DSLite actually did.

So in a way--the color DOES matter.
 
I wouldn't mind that old school GBC green for DS lite. My only problem with the white is it seems like it's gonna look like crap in a year or so of use because of the random discoloring that happens to white. My dreamcast controllers needed to be cleaned every few months with oxyclean because I couldn't stand the minor stains from oily/dirty hands.

The top picture is an Arctic Blue Game Boy Color. The rarest Game Boy was the Ice Blue Game Boy Pocket, pictured here.

The colors are nice. It's great to have a choice to personalize your system to something you enjoy looking at.

When the N64 finally released all those great colors, the system actually picked up sales in some crazy numbers. For a system which didn't sell well over here, that proved the draw that color choice has on the consumer.

Someone stole my green GBC a long time ago, and I've been missing it since.

I always liked the Pikachu N64 and wished America got more systems like that. I didn't actually like the Pikachu on it, but just the design and the way the power lit up his cheeks. That was pretty neat, and I think systems could stand to be more stylish like that instead of just white or black boxes.
