Great deal, works on dvd movies, game boy games, game boy color games, gba games, ds games, psp movies, psp games, psx games, n64 games, accessories for any system, ps2 games, gc games, and xbox games..

Only thing it doesnt work on is systems..
 
I brought in 15 games, fairly cheap ones like True Crime, Red Faction,GTA3 and only was quoted 68 bucks and change. Although some of the games are on EB's POX list, I have about 8 that aren't so that's a base of $40 plus whatever the games themselves are actually worth . I've got a feeling that I will make out better at EB. Plus I have an edge card that should add on 10% to the trade in values this weekend.

Here in NY, I was actually turned away. They had no knowledge of any such promotion, and when I mentioned the DM thing, the manager called someone(I dont know who), turned back and said "No promotion". A little help here would be great.

Nope. Dif areas, different trades. Some stores dont sell used games over 39.99 while others sell the same one at 44.99. depends on location, competition, etc...

Jerk off at Gamestop I went to today told me that I needed to sign up for their bullsh!t card in order to get the 40% extra.
 
Wow, thats weird, i went in there, and traded in my dvd's without any problem, there was a sign on the door advertising the promotion.

I traded in 3 DVD's and i got 15.60 store credit, thats pretty good, i traded in

Gasaraki Vol 1
Vandread second stage dvd 1
Gundam 08th MS team dvd 4

I had only figured this to be about $11-12 via the tradestop formula + 30% more so i was not expecting to get over 15$ in store credit for these dvd's, it was a plesant surprise! I actually made money on this since i probably paid about 3-4$ each for those dvds.

Sounds like this is a YMMV deal, since a lot of people are having trouble with it, oh yeah and i dont have a gamestop discount card.
 
Yeah I had no problems today doing this deal either. Traded in a couple of shitty DVDs and a couple of games I didn't want and got $34 in credit. Wound up with used copies of Jade Empire and Two Towers Extended Edition. Not too shabby considering I've been trying to unload those DVDs and games for months.
 
I dont know if yall know about this , but trading in some old psx one games might bring in some extra credit. I traded in 5 psx one games that i didnt want ( too hard ), and i got 40 bucks in store credit.

Those are some awful trade in prices. You seriously could have sold those PSP games for a lot more on here, except maybe NFL Street. Same with that simpsons box set.

I agree. Monopoly is the only one that was 'decent', the others could have been sold for a bit more. But oh well, its convience I suppose.
 
I was very surprised to get more credit than i expected for my dvd's especially because people here have been saying that trade in values tend to go lower for promotions because more people trade in, and that trade in values vary per location, so i was expecting less credit than what i had originally calculated from the tradestop website.

I called the gamestop in midtown manhattan last thursday or friday and was also told that they did not have the promotion. However, the gamestop in NJ that I frequent did have it.
 
I already netted 110 with this deal, but was wondering if you guys think it's worth trading in 2 dance pads and some other crap? About how much do you think I'd get for a dance pad (ps1) ??
 
Now have just under $300.00 on my reserve for my Xbox360---all of it trade in...i've been holding on to a lot of games for a long time and now that I can't afford to spend too much cash on games I'm taking advantage of trade in deals at my Gamestop. Wish my wife hadn't sold about ten dvds for a buck each in our yard sale...probably could have another thirty or so bucks...oh well.

No where, tradestop.com has guestimates but there not very accurate at all.

To the person talking about dance pads:
You cant trade those in at Gstop

To the person who didnt get the deal and said they needed the card:
Tell them to hit f7 on each item and choose 40% extra trade, it asks for 0 card, and tell them you will report them to there DM and corporate in Grapevine Tx for not supporting there promotion.

Gamestop trade in prices are universal, so what are you talking about, its not local or special in certain areas.

Except the last time I tried to sell anything here, I wound up not getting prices to my liking(this was for a DS, 4 games and some extra stuff back in February). ANy my luck selling PSP games on Ebay has been poor, wound up selling Gretzky for 9.99 plus shipping. Not worth it in my opinion. This way, I was able to get 3 games plus the Action Replay. Could I have gotten more? Yes. But it would have been more work.

Monopoly got $11.40? I will probably pick that up as trade in fodder for GameStop. I plan on trading in my DS with Nintendogs, Super Mario 64, and Kirby. I would get an extra $50 for this stuff online, but I don't want to hassle. Hopefully I can get $130 for them.

Sorry to dispute you on this one, but GS DID lower their prices before the last sale. Not only did I have a print out of the 10 most wanted games, that did not match the board prices (board prices supposedly good for another week), I complained to corporate and got an email back apologizing for the "Confusion", saying the game prices had been adjusted "Accidently" ahead of schedule and had been raised back to their post promotion level, which in fact they did do.

You might as well sell NFL 2k5 here or on Ebay because the trade in on it is like $.35. They sell it at $4.99. Just go to Gamerush with some of the older ones and take newer ones like Jade Empire into Gamestop.
 
this might be off the topic, but I was tryign to order games online from GS, but their FREESHIPALL coupon doesnt work. Does anyone know if the code still work at all?

take new games, but you get the same value on the trade sealed or unsealed, so don't think you can "Wal-Mart" at GS.

Doesn't work on consoles, or else they would lose a ton of money.

Don't need the 10% card, it doesn't add or subtract anything from this deal.

Nope. The GS POS system allows only one type of discount... so it's either the +40% deal or your GI +10% deal.
