New Kmart Clearance Price Drops (YMMV)

I just got back from my first trip to Kmart since the incredibly terrible "10-50% off clearance games" ad from 2 weeks ago, and this time there were quite a few unannounced drops. What I saw was:

:ps3:
Bioshock GH $6.99 (previously $9.99)
Front Mission Evolved $9.99 (previously $19.99)
Rock Band Country Pack 2 $4.99 (previously ?)
Dragon Age II $17.99 (previously $19.99)
There were 3-4 other rock band track packs for $4.99 also (previously ?)

:360:
Bayonetta $9.99 (previously $19.99)

:ds:
Glory of Heracles $9.99 (previously $14.99)

If I go again in the next few days, I'll let everyone else know what else went down. Best of luck to everyone finding some other deals!

man i used to flip games all the time and also run out to every store looking for cheap games. got to the point now where it was more about flipping/finding than playing the games. or getting way too many games to play. but those flipping them, enjoy it. it's a crazy rush when you can turn 10 bucks into 100 dollars in credit.

I can understand the rush but I'd rather ten people have a game each than $100. Money means nothing to me. You'll learn that as you age.

It has. IATCG lives near me. A while back he came to my closest target and bought up five copies of Children of Eden for 360. I bitched him out for it here, then he told me he would return them, since profit wasn't much, to a target 30mi away from me, just for spite.

CAG is a community, for members to help one another find deals, not to make a profit. How are you helping other members, your neighbor, ANYONE, when you (meaning you generally) buy everything for profit? You're screwing others, which only hurts this site.

Congrats on the XBL kit, it's my favorite grab, next to the LBP2 move bundle! My gold has been expired for a while, and I needed a chatpad as well. You missed out on the 25% though...

Yeah, I totally did a double-take when I saw that big orange box sitting in the glass case.

So that 25% off was a company-wide sale? I visited another store last Saturday and didn't see anything about the additional discount.:cry: Plus, the store I went to today is one that I had forgotten about, and rarely get to.

The sale ended Saturday, though I got it applied yesterday since the store I visited still had the 25% off signs up. If you definitely bought things during the sale, it should have come up automatically. If not, I'd go back and get an adjustment.

Signs were still up in my closest store. Grabbed 4 psp go component cables for .75 each and a resistance ds3 bundle for $27 that I must have missed. They had to override the 25%. These dudes did not want to give me the 25%, lol. After telling them how to do their job, I got my discount :)
 
The 25% was not working at my kmart anymore and it was working last week so the sale must be over. I got the resistance bundle last week for $27 and got the Uncharted blue controller bundle today for $30.

Same thing happend to me for a clearenced $19 MW3 xbox 360 controller!

I purchased Mushroom Men in early April this year for $7.99. There is a generic UPC sticker over the original and a generic white price sticker of $14.99 that's covered over with a yellow clearance $9.99 sticker on the front.

Agreed! also i can never find these kinds of deals at my local Kmart a couple here and the like the halo legendary collectors edition for 89.99 instead of 149.99 i am thinking of picking up i think its halo reach waiting for it to drop to 50 then picking it up check up on it every time lol does anyone have an idea how often they lower the price of clearance until they are gone?!

I see the LittleBigPlanet2 Move bundle was clearance, but there are so many different types of move bundles. Are other types cheap too? Like Medieval Moves+Sports Champ version?

You guys are all so lucky, I'm especially jealous of the God of War: Origins Dualshock pack. But I can't find any of these games under $10, my Kmart is $15-20 or $60 games only. Oh, and the display cases are literally empty now. There was maybe 3 games per row, so about 12 games per system inside the case. With empty slots and $59.99 stickers.

Travel more often! I visited five stores over the weekend. One I found nearly all of my games, another had cheap accessories, and another is where I found the LBP Move bundle. And the LBP one is the only one clearanced.

When I scanned the Medieval Moves+sports champ move pack last week it was still pretty expensive.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm pretty sure he's still scouring the forums though. I post on here every day so I don't know what I would do if I was banned. Maybe I would lurk around and scalp all the deals? ;)
 
Thanks for all the replies. Also the next closest Kmart starts at 27miles away, so I'd rather not go hunting for nothing with these gas prices :oops:

Yeah worded that wrong. But that's why I said use it "toward" the pack of gum, as in it won't fully pay for it. I recently had 64000 points which were mostly bonus points earned from using other coupons. I'm surprised you don't get many. A coupon like "get 8000 bonus points on your next $60 purchase" prints out on every transaction for me so I get the points pretty easy. That particular coupon was pretty cool though as theoretically I didn't have to spend a dime out of pocket(if I could find a dollar item) and got so many points back.

Yeah the N Buffalo city Kmart is dingy but Ive had some good luck there.

I found 1 of each of the controller PS3 bundles last week. I passed on the ps3 display. But overall the best was when that store had piles of games behind the case unorganized. they let me flip through the stuff one day a couple years back and it was all ringing up 1-3$ since it was always hidden.
 
I found another GOW DS3 bundle at my local K-Mart they must of brought out from somewhere. I'm going to see if I have any luck getting them to adjust the price if I bring my receipt from Saturday in.

I'm surprised we haven't ran into each other yet, lol. I always check these clearance sales out when I get a chance. I hardly get the chance anymore because I'm in school, and I work full time. I can't remember the last time I sat down and just enjoyed a game. I can't wait until winter break!

Us caggers are low key. We may have slid past each other alot and never known :cool: There are a few other Buffalo/Upstate Cags like me who have been on here for 6-8 years and still havent crossed paths knowingly.

I met up with a couple of local cags who dont post alot a few years ago. This was back when BB penny guides were in full force.I used to race in the mornings to get all of them from the local BB before they got pulled then offer any local cags that wanted some to meet up for freebies.

That's pretty awesome! I think I joined the site maybe two years ago, and I just watched the savings roll in. I love games as much as the next guy so I have games all over the house it seems. CAG is where it's at. I constantly see people buying games at full price, and I just have to shake my head. If only they knew.

Hah I seem to spend more on video games on this site than I did before haha. Maybe once I build my backlog it won't be so bad...

Kmart in Milton, FL has Resistance/DS3 combo for $36 and Uncharted1&2/DS3 combo for $45. Also saw a DSiXL tucked in the corner glass case on the bottom for $105 that I might go back and get. I have uncharted already and plenty of controllers, left both games behind for someone else to get.

I went to a Kmart here in Orlando, on Sand Lake and OBT for the local CAGS, and there were no clearance video games. I looked for endcaps, tables, inside the glass barriers and found nothing. Sucks because there are a lot of games I would get.

The backlog will be neverending. Before I joined this site I would buy games occasionally. Now I buy them almost weekly, and I spend 3X as much because I have access to so many deals. At first I grabbed every deal I could find, now I'm learning to be more selective in my purchases simply because I'm being overwhelmed. I've set myself a rule; If I can't get to it within 2 months don't buy it.
