New Nintendo DS Lite Colors!!

That's pretty cool, but I'm not really digging any of those colors. Red and light blue seem too feminine for me. As for bile green...

I'm just going to stick with black for the time being (just bought it recently).
 
They're alright but Vyrtigo beat me to it...the Japanese Navy one is still my favorite (soooo glad I bought one. It was worth the increased price/shipping I had to pay). Yes, I'm a sucker for Nintendo releasing new colors. Aren't we all?

New colors kind of makes me think there will not be a New or Redesigned DS anytime soon. Maybe an announcement but I don't think it will be out till next year.

I sorta dig the green, I might pick one up. I've been looking for an excuse to get a new DS since I sold my original fat DS last year. Oddly enough, I have a jacket that looks like it's the EXACT same color as the green DS...
 
I would pick any of those colors up. If they reach US soil. I still have my launch DS and I want the brighter screen. I get sad every time I go from my girl's pink DS lite to my launch DS. Oh well.

I'm picking it up, possibly even two just for a back up. I got the Lime Green SP, and have been waiting for some systems to match it. That Wii green needs to come out now.

They're marketing it towards women, but the problem is, they already have a fucking pink DS. Everyone that wanted one has already bought one, and they're not going to go buy one that's similar just for the hell of it. NoA needs to hire some smart people that aren't thinking about just the money.
 
this is a huge deal to me. Why? This was done to boost sales, yes? well, if the Ds lite is dropping enough to warrant a sales boost, could the Ds redesign be true?

i just bought a Ds lite a few months ago :(

Probably not, because a new DS would destroy sales of these two colors.

There is no DS redesign until Nintendo says so. It's like the iPod - if you predict a new model enough times, sooner or later you're bound to be right. That doesn't mean you're right this time, though, or will be at any point in the next year. Just wait and see.
 
OOOH, so that's Europe only?
I just got a colbalt/black DS and I love it..but that green reminds me of the green GBC :drool:
 
Funny, the (lime) green one is the best out of all of them. If I didn't already have the gold Zelda lite I would be all over the green.

That color was the one included in the Nintendogs bundle, It just makes you wonder if Nintendo would ever re-release the Zelda color as well.
 
Already have the gold one. Happy with it.

I guess they're finally catching on about all the complaints from people when they see all the colors consoles come in in Japan.
 
geez all these colors... what about a silver platnium one?

I think I'd take that over my white... just seems white is the best color for my lite.

I might take a blue/onyx one....

If Nintendo does rerelease it, it won't be Zelda-themed anymore. The metallic rose DS included in the Nintendogs bundle had a paw print on its top half (similar to the Triforce on the Zelda DS), and it's gone now.

Besides - unless I'm forgetting something, Pokémon is the only Nintendo franchise to spawn customized consoles and handhelds, and that was back when the franchise was so huge that everything Pikachu turned to gold. Zelda's popular, but mostly amongst gamers. There's also no new Zelda game to promote with it; Phantom Hourglass was a few months old when the bundle was released, but it was still a relatively new title.

The gold is a very nice color, though. I got the Zelda DS at Christmas, and it's far and away my favorite DS color scheme. :)
 
Ooooh those are some sexy colors. I've been waiting to get a DS Lite with rumors of a redesign, but sales are still strong so who knows when that will come.

Green is my favorite color so I'd buy that Lime one. Although that light blue one is pretty nice too. Otherwise I was just going to buy the pink one. Yes, I am a girl.

That metallic rose one makes me sad. I'm a girl and love pretty girl colored accessories, but I have the pale pink DS now and everyone always assumes it's birth control. Making it shiny will just encourage everyone to think it's shiny space age birth control. Why can't we have crayon colors?

Mine's acutally developed a hinge crack anyway I think I'm just going to reshell it.

I'm happy with mine and will keep it. I don't need any new colors. However, you should be happy with yours since they want to rip out the GBA port in the redesign to make it smaller... How about bigger buttons, a slightly thicker unit (since I have big hands and it feels like I could crush the thing at any moment), and a lower price tag instead of less features and a new color for the same price (maybe).

I would so buy a Pokemon themed DS and be happy all the days of my life. I still get sad thinking about how I should have bought one of those Torchic SPs.

I have a feeling the Metallic Rose is NoA's answer to these colors. I don't want to spend the extra $60-$80 to import, but I really want that green.
 
Hmm, my brother is in spain right now... Maybe I can get him to buy me one while he is there :O

That is, if I really want one, because I have a black one already.
 
I'll stick with my blue phatty and wait for the inevitable redesign. I don't like the conrol pad and the buttons on the lite. If I really wanted a lite I would have snagged that zelda gold one.
 
Anyone know the best web site to import one of those? My wife wants that red one. All the websites I have looked at does not have them yet.

ToS had a custom Gamecube for a contest, not sure how many there were / how long they lasted...

Halo has a 360...this whole customized, game-related system craze has gotten pretty big. But the Pikachu N64 still takes the cake.
