Yeah, somehow I doubt that's a compelling argument for the shareholders at Namco. "Gee, we figured out that these Nintendo fans will buy anything with Link in it ... so let's NOT do just that." Right. That makes tons of sense...
 
I am glad to see that Japanese developers are at least giving the Xbox 360 a chance and bringing their top series to more than one console. I had an Xbox earlier this year for a few months, played through the Sega games I wanted like Shenmue II and Panzer Dragoon Orta, and then sold it off (I have no interest in FPS or military games). I do hope this is and other AAA third-party games are in the works for Revolution too, so the 3 manufacturers have to compete on quality of in-house development.

I don't see what people are getting so excited about. Capcom already announced that there would be a RE5, so that's no surprise, and that trailer is pre-rendered footage, giving us no idea as to the in-game graphics or gameplay. Plus I really don't like the look of that guy in the trailers (who I bet is the protagonist). He's pretty ugly/bland looking.

That being said, I bet it will be a cool game, but those promos do nothing for me.

I concur...that trailer was kind of lame...

I don't get why guys care about the looks of a GUY video game character. It makes me wonder if the dudes that think your way are gay.
 
I hope they find a happy medium between RE4 and the rest of the games.

RE 1-3 and CVX are just plain boring nowadays, but RE4 was basically a 3rd person shooter and an awesome one at that.

I see what Mr. Durand Pierre is saying-- the guy just looks like a stereotypical male videogame character. On top of that, he looks like he just woke up and borrowed Leon's clothes. which really makes you wonder what he was doing the night before, doesn't it :lol:

Looks like it's gonna be another shooter. Guess they realized that the only way to revitalize RE was leave the survival horror genre behind.

I don't think RE4 completely left the genre behind. If they end up removing all the monsters, scares, etc. from the series, I probably won't be a fan anymore, regardless of how they "reinvent" it.
