Ok at work now and have looked a little close at the lbp2 se. Says it includes "over 35 of bonus content and new ps move functionality" will post a pic when i get off
Doing my best at Sony math:

$60 (LBP2)
$35 (LBP GOTY savings for extra content)
$60 (R&C all for one)
$10 for the PSN + one month value

$165 IN SAVINGS

People are kidding themselves if they think any bundle at black friday will be less than $249.99. The last 3 years that they did these bundles it was always at current MSRP. The "deal" was the free games included. Each retailer had a different bundle. Wal-Mart, Target, Amazon and Best Buy. As somebody else pointed out it was closer to Christmas that Gift Card deals popped up.
Yeah it will be 249 unless their is another official pricedrop on the 160gb before BF (doubtful)
Would of been nice if a blu ray movie was included too.

And I would bet their will be 1-2 other bundles that might be exclusive to certain retail stores for BF.

nice.
Thx for the updates.

PlayAsia has a list of the bonus content that comes inside the little big planet 2 special edition package.

http://www.play-asia.com/LittleBigPlanet_2_Special_Edition/paOS-13-71-bp-49-en-70-4db5.html

Bonus Contents:
1. Move Pack
2. Toy Story Costumes pack 1
3. Toy Story levels
4. Cats Costume pack
5. Dogs Costume pack
6. Even more Animals

Now to guess if this is on the disk or a voucher code, and if there will be a GOTY version still coming which i doubt.

Nah, doubt we'll see a GOTY for this. Play Asia is selling it for $34.90 (~$40 with shipping), not bad. That should have been the retail price but apparently they're raising it to $59.99 over here)

LBP2 SE is now showing up on newegg:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16879261345a

I'm amazed that Sony hasn't announced the damn thing yet....Pretty poor job of marketing on their part considering the popularity of the franchise..

edit: looks like newegg already took down the page, lol:

We apologize for the inconvenience, but the item you are looking for has been deactivated. Here are some similar products that you may wish to consider

I've updated the OP with info on Microsoft's upcoming Xbox360 holiday bundles, as well. I am hopeful that there will be more enticing offers as Black Friday draws near.

I believe that the Wal-Mart bundle last year had a movie in it. They have done it before, Sony that is, on retailer bundles.

Every year on Black Friday Sony releases $249 MSRP bundle to each major retailer. The "Savings inside the box are all the freebies, not a discount from MSRP. After the initial hype from BF deals, it was December when we saw the giftcards start to fly.

I'm right on Sony's math. PS+ is worth $10 to Sony. Doesn't MS charge $10/month if you do Live monthly?

Hmmm seriously thinking about doing this deal if I can trade in my PS3. Amazon says they will give me $162 for my 80GB Fat PS3. So that minus the $249 deal is around $80ish for an upgraded PS3, and 2 games.
I've updated the OP with info on Microsoft's upcoming Xbox360 holiday bundles, as well. Anyone care to explain why a PS3 w/ about the same hd space is 50 dollars CHEAPER than an xbox AND includes a blu ray player? On top of that m$ bundles two old games that are worth not even $20 each with their black friday bundle while sony throws out two high quality more valuable titles and even more extras?
The reason this frustrates me so much is that my xbox just broke (surprise surprise) and I am in need of a new one but the thing is just WAY over priced for what you get/compared to the competition.
Wow. Insane. That's a great price.
Strictly a rumor for now, but GameStop will be offering a PS3 160gb Slim standalone + the choice of any 2 games (unknown if there's any price cap or restriction to new/pre-owned) for $200 as their Black Friday countermeasure for this bundle.

I picked up the 320gb uncharted 3 bundle yesterday at wal-mart for $299. I figured it was a decent deal considering I paid $299 for my plain 160gb version back in Feb. My son should be happy with it come Christmas day :)
If only my Phat wasn't so damn durable :(

Actually I better not jinx it

*hugs my ps3 phat, no offense big guy*
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing back when this thread was started, and wouldn't you know my 60GB died. It's been so hard waiting for Black Friday.

Slightly off topic, is there any thing to be done wth a bricked PS3? Is there a place that will pay to have some spare parts een though it won't run? I've been tempted to try and repair it, then trade it in somewhere, but I'd feel bad knowing that it would probably die on whoever owned it next.

Ebay, Craigslist, or you can send it to Sony. $130+tax for a refurb fatty or $100+tax for a refurb slim.

The only thing I would try is a reflow to get the saves off it.
What rumor?
Haha...it's only on the previous page, homie.

160gb with 2 games(probably pre-owned) for $200.

Sittin on about $130 in gamestop credit right now and wanting to buy my ps3 and get skyrim on friday so bad right now its not even funny. However by that point bf will only 2 weeks away.

Hoping to clean house this bf.

This sounds too good to be true for new hardware/software, although sounds about right for used PS3 with 2 less than $25 used games

If your scenario were to pan out, it would be a pointless sale.
PS3 160gb Holiday Bundle with Ratchet & Clack and LBP2 and used Blu-Ray movie will be $199.99 on Thanksgiving and Black Friday at Hastings. Also, they are having a Buy one get one free on all used video games and video game accessories. I hope these deals will also be on their website. Here is a link to the ad.

I'm not too familiar with Hastings, will this apply to their online store?

I don't think it says whether or not it applies to gohastings.com.

My original PS3 is still going strong so I haven't personally had to get mine repaired, but I've heard a lot of good things about GopherMods from random folks here on CAG:

http://www.gophermods.com/index.php?l=product_list&c=35

Do you guys think that Amazon will match a deal like that? I want to buy from Amazon if at all possible.

I also echo the sentiment that those 2 games don't really interest me in the least. I guess I could just Ebay them and hope to get whatever I can for them, but would expect thousands of other people doing the exact same thing, which means the value on those two is really going to plummet quickly.

I spotted a new move bundle at my local Target, and I just wanted to update the OP. At $50 less than the original PS3 Sports Move bundle which are still available at most retailers...it's not too shabby a deal. Cheers!
