New vs used price fail

I thought people were used to how awful gamestop was already?
 
Uh, its not in stock new. This isn't really out of the ordinary. The Orange Box has shot up in value and desirability recently thanks to Portal 2.

Let me guess, now you guys are gonna tell me that they'll give me $15 for my brand new game and then re-sell it for $50.
 
When Circuit City was still around, I went browsing down an aisle that was basically nothing but crap, and among that crap I discovered that they had used games. Used games that were basically collecting dust because two aisles over you could buy the new versions for less. Was definitely one store that didn't understand how to move used games.

You're actually wrong, they wouldn't do that! They would sell it for $55, saving you a WHOPPING $5 for purchasing a used game over a new one!

That pisses me off big time. Technically speaking, it's new because no one has purchased it. However, their employees (several of my friends worked for GS) rent new games. And technically speaking, employees renting games is not a "purchase" so they can sell it as new.

I went to the store to pick up Resonance of Fate, New and someone "jacked the box" and the disc was scratched to hell!!!! UGH! and then, hello Amazon =) But still, rant, rant RANT!

Supply and demand.

Orange box has probably become more sought after. Why sell something for $20 if people are willing to pay $30 for it?

FYI Circuit City's used games were all handled by an outside company which included the pricing on said used games.
 
OP you won't find this game new at any Gamestop most likely. Why Gamestop even still has the listing I don't know. There aren't any new copies within a 100-mile radius of St. Louis.

Would be interested to see which store still has this in stock with a new copy.
