Kameo is $10 used at Gamestop, so $8 with 10% + 10% edge card. about $7 if you wait for the 20% coupon to come back around in a couple months.

I'll probably bite on Logan's Shadow. I think it's the only PSP title I'm interested at all in that's currently out.

I think I'll pick up Perfect Dark Zero and Blue Dragon. Unfortunately, I get this every time I try and checkout (with Paypal at least):

Thank you for visiting Newegg.com. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience but we are currently experiencing problems on our server. Please try again at a later time.

Edit: Great. I tried with my CC, just once mind you, and got the same message. Gave up, and all of a sudden, I have three order confirmations, all billing my credit card. WTF Newegg? I guess this is what I get for being impatient.

anyone know if kameo is the original box & loved perfect dark on N64, but I'm sure PDZ isnt going to be as good but can anyone convince me at the ten dollar price tag?

Great price on Condemned 2.. damn most of the games I was bout to get, Newegg had them at the best prices right on time. Thanks OP.

Blue Dragon is currently $7.78 if you can find it at Circuit City. The sticker said 19.99 and the currently deal of 40% off would it have made it 11.99 but it rang up as 7.78.

Thanks OP! I've been wanting this game for some time. At $10 with free shipping, even in this economy, that is a good enough deal for me. I also picked up Blue dragon, since i've wanted that one since it was released.

Is Crackdown as bad as I have heard some say violence and sex wise? I have heard it compared to GTA which is a game I will never buy. Please don't blast me for feeling that way. I just do. heh

Violence? Yes. Sex? I don't recall remember anything sexual in the game.

And it's compared to GTA based on the aspect of you being someone where you can freely roam around a city and do missions when you want. Only now you can jump 40 feet in the air, pick up semi trucks, jump over buildings, and the Agency vehicles upgrade with your driving abilities.

It's actually a really fun game. Only downside I saw to it was that it can actually be pretty short.

I let my 12 year old play COD series and Halo. How bad would this one be for him? I try to be careful about that.

I think I may need some help answering that.

It's pretty iffy. Mostly because COD and Halogain the M rating due to the violence with the occasional strong language shouted by one of the troops.

Crackdown also gains the violence, but the language comes from the random citizens (if you stand next to one long enough, they yell at you) and the and supposed "sexual themes" involves one of the intel you receive about one of the gang members.

I still think I need some other people's help with answering this.

If you let him play COD and Halo, then Crackdown is angelic compared to those. I mean, come on, Cortana is pretty much naked throughout the Halo games...

Well, in COD you are slaughtering armies of terrorists or WWII factions en masse. If that is perfectly okay for you, I don't see how drug references, sex, or swearing would be worse. But that is just me ...

:ps3:Far Cry 2 - $26.99
:ps3:Motorstorm 2 - $36.99

As for these prices, they are wrong when I just checked. Far Cry 2 was at 36.99 (free shipping) and Motorstorm is at 37.99 (free shipping).

First of all... there is zero sexual content in Crackdown. Secondly, the violence is, 1, cartoony, and 2, justified as you're playing a cop taking down gangs. Other than being a sandbox game with cars and guns, there's really little to compare the two, content-wise.

Some of the ladies in Crackdown are dressed rather "prostitute-ish" ["suggestive" is probably the scientific term.] Of course, you can't interact with them the way you can in GTA. ...You never really have to interact with the citizens anyways. You just try not to run over/shoot/beat/blow-up them, because: 1. It gets Agents [i.e. the police] to turn on you. 2. It lowers your stats/abilities.

If you let your kids play Halo and CoD, Crackdown couldn't be too much worse for your kid, and in some respects, might be better. Crackdown was probably one of 2007's most underrated games in a year that also had many blockbusters, such as Halo 3, CoD4, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, The Orange Box, and more.

On a personal note though, I'm glad to see Crackdown for $13. I almost bought a 2nd copy of it for 40% off @ CC a week ago, came back, and it was gone. I've been playing it lately, and been contemplating the cost/effort it would require to link my two Xbox 360s up together to do some co-op action with the Wife. [and/or other games that don't offer split-screen online multiplayer] ...By some miracle, I also picked up a TV a neighboor was disposing of, furthering my dreams comming true.

Whattheyplay.com is a good resource for finding out what kind of content is in games. Jon Davison, who used to be the EIC of EGM, started the site (at least I think he started it).

Crackdown is rated "Mature" by the ESRB with five ratings descriptors. "Blood and Gore" and "Intense Violence" apply to the extremely violent acts traded between the player and the gang members/bosses, and includes the use of firearms and explosives, as well as melee combat and vehicle-based violence. "Strong Language" manifests itself often in Crackdown, as terms like "s**t" and "f**k" can be heard from bystanders on the street and elsewhere in the game, while "Use of Drugs" and "Sexual Themes" are tied to the narrative briefings, which mention the gang activities of selling/transporting illicit drugs and prostitution, as well as display a brief, blurry image of a scantily clad woman.

Here is some gameplay video:

Personally I think it's ok if you let your kids play Halo or CoD (especially CoD5, that game is pretty gorey...)

Plus you are a cop killing drug kings, so it's justified killing :p
If you let him play COD and Halo, then Crackdown is angelic compared to those. I mean, come on, Cortana is pretty much naked throughout the Halo games...
This is the truth. Crackdown's visuals are much more cartoony compared to CoD's and Halo. The situations aren't nearly as intense, the parallels to the real world (in CoD anyway) aren't as believable and overall it's much more light-hearted. Think of a toned-down GTA crossed with your typical super hero comic and that's pretty much Crackdown. If you let your kid play CoD, Crackdown won't be any more traumatizing.
Good price on Crackdown but I'm guessing it will be the Platinum Hits version? If so, I'll pass.
i doubt it will go platinum (it's already been out for a long time) and even if it does platinum versions cost $20.

Just ordered The Simpsons game, I've been wanting to order that from them for awhile, but never had enough spare money to (I used to own the game, but got rid of it.. but for $9.99, might as well pick it up again and go for all the collectibles).
Amazing game that got overlooked for two reasons:

1. Halo 3 beta.
2. No side missions.
I agree. I had a lot of fun with this game. Its still $15 used at GS so this is a pretty good deal.

Anyone who doesn't get Blue Dragon is nuts; the farther I get the more fun I'm having. Make sure to grab the downloadable Hard Mode in order to make the game a challenge. It reminds me of the SNES days of RPGs where story took a backseat to gameplay, and it is a nice change of pace from what I've been playing (even if I do enjoy a good storyline.)

Anyone order the Syphon Filter game? I think that's the one I always see in stores, but refuse to buy cause of the ugly greatest hits packaging. Would like to know whether or not anyone who bought it from Newegg got the original package or not.
if it wasnt the stupid platinum hits version i would be in
How can you tell it's a Platinum Hits version? I've never seen a Platinum Hits Crackdown.
