Been on the fence the last few days with mirrors edge, finally said fuck it and ordered one. Thanks wildnuts
That was the best $10 game I've ever purchased. Much better than the reviews lead on. You won't be disapointed.

The gameplay is very different, the graphics are great, controls work really well. I loved the fact that you werent some invincible avatar blowing up 100032432 ppl per level. The time trials are a ton of fun if you decide to keep the game after beating the single player. Plus the trade in value was around $7 when I sent it back to Amazon a month or so ago. It's a steal at this price.
update - alien syndrome wii is 5.99, worth it??

whats the verdict on Dragon Quest Swords?? anybody like it?
Bought, but haven't played either yet (well, PSP Alien Syndrome). Alien Syndrome apparently plays sort of like Champions of Norath in space, which sounds cool enough.

The Ceramic White Dualshock is $44.99 with free shipping on Newegg as opposed to Amazon's $52.80 (sold from Worldwide Distributors).
Why is this a "must read"? Several other online retailers besides newegg got duped here. This has nothing to do with video games they are selling.
i just thought it was interesting to point this out because fellow CAGs have questioned weather some of the VIDEO GAMES they have bought were USED, and if this incident is any indication to further question that, thats all. I had one game (ghost recon) that I bought from them that was used but they gave me a full refund and have bought from them ever since with no problems, so i'm not trying to bash them. I just think theres a good chance some games may be used and I just wanted to share this with them, SORRY. :whistle2:#
Is Raven Squad really that bad? I kinda want to give it a try.
my thoughts exactly!!! I really wanna pull the trigger on this!

fuck it, I picked one up. Like I say, I'll basicly play anything for 10 bucks. If it really is that bad, I guess it'll go to a nephew or the bro in-law.

The demo seemed surprisingly fun, considering I normally hate stuff like that. I bought it...but it's in The Backlog of Doom™

Wow, the Backlog of Doom™....

I haven't named my backlog yet, but you know that scene at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark where the camera pulls back to reveal the government warehouse?

Yeah, it's kinda like that.

In for Wheelman 360. Sigh.
I'm tempted to pick-up The Wheelman. Any opinions on it?
I just got it from newegg a month ago for $12.99 and it was definitely worth it. If you have a 360/PS3, the demo should still be available. Check it out.

Part of the appeal to me is that it's so over the top but still a solid title(ie. no bad framerate drops or game ending glitches). For basically $10 shipped, it's a fantastic deal.

Anyone know why they keep reducing the price on Zelda:ST? I mean it's a Nintendo game that juist came out a few months ago and they never drop in price like this, especially a quality title like a Zelda. It just seems very odd to keep reducing the price of it so soon.
Avalon code for the ds is $10 looks pretty good it's an action rpg.
Says $19.99 now and there's $4.99 shipping :*(

Maybe they're finally not selling? I know after being burned on that first DS one there was no way I was buying the second one. Still took some will power just because Zelda's THE game that really made me fall in love with gaming 25 years ago, but still, I've hated everything since Wind Waker.

Boy you're hard to please.

I played through Phantom Hourglass and half of Spirit Tracks and it's a like a nice mixture of Link's Awakening and Wind Waker. The all stylus controls are rarely frustrating. I've really enjoyed these games.
Boy you're hard to please.
Eh? There's 90 bajillion games I like. I just happen to hate over half the Zelda series.

Decided to order it, Thanks.

I noticed "open box" Zoids Assault for $2...
... but with $5 shipping :( lol thats higher then the current price of Zoids $6

Bionic Commando (360) dropped to $7. How low can you go?

Finally broke down and ordered Bionic Commando for $7. Also threw Wheelman (360) into the order since I've been eyeing it for weeks. I was hoping the PS3 version of Wheelman would come back in stock, but with it being a Midway game it could very possibly be OOP.
Any opinions on Sega Rally Revo? If it is basically an HD version of Sega Rally on Dreamcast, I'd think it's worth $10.
I came into that game with an open mind and loathed it (despite being a big fan of racing games to boot). The racing market is so over saturated with awesome games that there's no reason to waste your time with Sega Rally Revo.

Thanks. I appreciate the opinion.

Really disappointing, coming from a hardcore Sega Rally fan from the Saturn. I thought the DC version was inferior (mostly due to the fluctuating framerate) but the PC Sega Rally 2 was amazing as long as your PC could handle it at 60fps (which pretty much everything can now). Revo just controls like you're driving on ice the whole time. I know it's supposed to be slippery but it's WAY overdone in this game.

It's a very pretty game and some swear the controls are no different than they've ever been, but it just feels entirely wrong to me and really disappointing overall.

I've been playing Alien Syndrome on the PSP the last few days. Someone on here recommended it to me, said it's actually like say Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance/Champions of Norath (the Snowblind games)-and that's dead on.

I don't think it was advertised very well, since I didn't really know what it was-thought it was just some boring shooter, when really it's an action RPG. I'm playing the 'seal' class that starts with and has specs initially skewed towards energy weapons. Not sure how it would play with a different class, as the energy weapons are the only ranged weapons that don't need ammo-they just feed off your constantly recharging energy bar (which I've augmented to charge much faster). The amount of STUFF coming at you in this, I'm not sure how it would play with limited ammo, probably having to switch to melee.

At any rate, well worth checking out if you want a portable game and/or like a solid action RPG along the lines of Dark Alliance. Can't go wrong for $5!

Thanks for the impressions! This game just became a heck of a lot more interesting to me :)

Thanks for the recommendation on Alien Syndrome -- I had just skipped over it assuming it would be a lame shooter too. But for $4.99, why not?
Geez these games shot up in price. Any idea what happened?
You're posting in the "old" newegg thread. Almost all of their games that sell for a "low" price, then sell out, come back in stock at a much higher price.
