I just bought a few games from new egg and amazon, and my 360 craps out on me ARGH! The new RROD is Error 47 apparently... I bought my xbox after they fixed that whole 3 rings issue too
 
Dark Messiah any good? played kingdom under fire demo, but was not impressed. Anybody purchase GRAW 2 recently? are they still selling used copies?? thanks.

I loved oblivion, but hated blue dragon. It seemed too slow, although the battle system is turn based if I remember correctly.

I also hate RPG's that have hidden items EVERYWHERE (such as blue dragon) most of the time you just run around pressing A in every single crevice
 
This is my favorite thread.

Most of these games are prob not worth it at full price, but to be entertained by a game for a week or so for $10 is an awesome deal. A movie ticket costs more than that. =)

man I wish Bourne was just a few dollars cheaper. also not sure about getting double agent again. I hated it and sold it quickly when I bought it at release, but for $10 I just might enjoy it.

can anyone say if the perfect darks are platinum hits or regular?

The perfect dark i got from them a week or so ago was a platinum hits one.
 
In for Double Agent Limited Edition, only because regular edition is oos, but LE is a steal at that price along with 10% off coupon.
 
got dark sector. its an okay game. played about 2-3 hrs and stopped. best part of the game is using the 6 axis to control his glaive (something like the weapon Blade uses). id give it a 7 out of 10..at best.

simpsons...when will u hit $10!?

u should open up the case and check the discs. u should also see if there is a security sticker. if not, that means its resealed.

This might sound like a stupid question, but are the games that newegg.com sells used? Usually on websites (like Game Stop) they have a price of used games and new games, so I wasn't sure if newegg sold brand new games or used. Thanks!
 
Newegg ALWAYS sells new games.

Though there have been some instances in where some CAGs received games that seem to have been in used condition. Probably not Newegg's fault.
 
Dark sector is a solid game, I enjoyed it a lot, a lot more than Resistance FOM for example
Graphics are good, controls are great and sound is very immersive at times
and it never get old when you cut your enemies heads off or arm, and hear them scream in pain...

Its very underrated, its worth much more than $10

I rented and beat most of it within that time. For the most part, the game sucks and is terribly repetitive. I got very bored by it towards the end of my rental time. At $10, though, it's a decent price for the game. Should never have been $50/60 but more a $30 game when it came out.

I agree to an extent, I had an absolute blast playing this and think it is more of a $20 game. the campaign is way too short and the multiplayer seems like a tact-on. regardless it was still fun and recommend anyone to pick it up while it is still available

yep, you were right. they were resealed. no security sticker. discs were in almost mint condition, so i'm not going to complain.
 
Picked up Splinter Cell Double Agent LE, and got sucked into adding on a new 500 GB HD (Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD5000BEVT) for the MacBook. I am always a sucker for the free 3-day UPS shipping.

I think security sticker are only on the first print, high profiled games. Most games do not have security stickers on them.

Security stickers are on all Xbox 360 games. If they are not, you're being sold used/repackaged games.

Security stickers are on ALL new XBox 360 games. They are not on any new PS3, Wii, DS, or PSP games.

Interesting. Hmm...how are the games people have been getting from Gamestop? Do ANY of them have those stickers?

I guess I like those (if they really let you know), except it is abit annoying to try to remove them right without damging the case. I usually start in the bck, and peel it slowly (if there's a problem, it'll leave it wherver I started pulling from).

I'm very impressed with Newegg. I ordered Crackdown on Wednesday with free shipping and got it today (non Platinum Hits version to boot and security sticker on the side indicates it's new). Much faster turnaround than I've been getting with Amazon FSSS the past year or so and I have to spend $25 there to get it whereas a $10 game gets free shipping @ Newegg. Love it.
 
^ they're fast for me too, Amazon's FSSS sucks balls. The new FSSS = fucking Snail Shit Shipping... I avoid that crap whenever i can (i'm too cheap to join Prime).
 
i just got my bourne conspiracy today..for some odd reason though the case was in extremely bad condition and when i opened the case the disc wasn't even secure..thankfully it has no scratches on it..
 
I'd just get the 2008 Vana'diel Collection, since the Wings of the Goddess expansion is usually $20 alone.

But yeah, it's an MMO. Kinda meh, played since it launched up until last year. It's changed a lot since then, but it still plays pretty "stiff". 12.95 a month, $1 more for each extra character (how the game works, most don't have alts). You don't need a Gold Live subscription though, Silver works just fine. Achievements for it suck.

Also, it requires a hard drive and since you had to install it pre-NXE, the firmware update kinda messed up how you installed it. Now you need to install the disc to the hard drive with NXE then install it again when you play the disc and download the update. There's enough room for a 20gb, but it gets cramped quickly.

I just got my order today. One of the games I ordered was Shadowrun, but instead of the 360 version I received the Games for Windows version. Has this happened to anyone else?

They refunded the $12.99 and let me keep the game. I still want a 360 version though...but now I don't want to reorder it from them fearing this may happen again...lol
