Am I the only one who didn't get a refund for Blue Dragon? I did live chat and they told me they were sending me another copy. It better not be another Spanish copy...

Hmm, they also sent me a second copy...and it ended up being the spanish copy again. I did a rma before calling so thats why I thought they sent me another one. However, I did live chat the second time, and they are issuing me a refund instead....

Kinda funny though, I put in the rma to just give me a refund if its the spanish one; they probably didnt even check to see what they are sending out (or the rma). Hopefully they will now >_

The way it is looking, do not order blue dragon right now if you are not expecting a "universal" copy. Please do not abuse newegg and order simply to get a refund in the end.

These deals have been amazing so far and I would hate for them to stop because of abuse.

Thanks! Glad I checked today. Picked up FFTA2 and Front Mission along with The Bigs for 360. (already have FFIII, which I would have also jumped on)

I'm starting to hate "TENDERED TO USPS" thing. Been waiting on that status to change since Tuesday. Sad part about all this is that my place is less than 10 miles from Newegg's warehouse. In fact DHL moved the package to their regional location first which is actually farther than 20 miles from my place is dumb.

I'm about to buy Burnout Paradise along with Warhawk from Newegg. I Haven't heard much about Newegg, so is there anything i need to know before i buy from them, since this is my first time?

Wow, you haven't heard much of Newegg? Well let me just let you know...

They kick ass! Excellent customer support, free shipping on games and always quick shipping.
I do believe it was only one title, and it most likely was some distributor resealing refurbs and newegg wasn't aware of it.
No, it's been Blue Dragon and GRAW 2 but in both cases they've refunded easily.

I've spent a ton of money with newegg over the years and have been very happy with them.

I bit on Vikings and PGR4.

i got the spanish version of blue dragon in on friday. it seems to play fine, but its not what i paid for. still deciding if i want to bother contacting newegg, as they have always been great.

I was a hypocrite and bought viking for 360 when I first recommended against it. Second time playing it, I can say it is defiantly worth 10 dollars. It all deals with expectations. If you think this is God of War, it's not. But it is a fun, brutal combat game that will keep you entertained. Get it before it goes higher in price.

Burst Limit also recommended highly for the price.

I would.
There's nothing wrong with getting your money back on an incorrect item.
The problem is when opportunists use it as an opportunity.

From what I understand you can change the language back to english in the menus. I did not know this and called Newegg, they were happy to issue a refund and even let me keep the spanish copy. I was going to give it to some Colombian co-workers because their spanish-speaking son plays Xbox. Then I did some reading and found out you can apparently change the language in-game. I'll find out when I get home :)
I ordered Project Sylpheed from Newegg last Friday, and the tracking status has been sitting at "Tendered to USPS" for three days now. I'm wondering what's up with that, since the USPS location for that status is only 45 miles away. I had really expected it to arrive yesterday. Would be nice if DHL's tracking actually carried through to the USPS side, like the UPS Mail Innovations tracking does, rather than just stopping there.
Grrr . . . DHL finally updated their tracking information to reflect the USPS portion of the delivery, and according to USPS, they delivered it last Wednesday. Our neighborhood is quiet and secluded, and usually doesn't have issues with packages getting stolen, so the guy I talked to at the post office thinks it was "probably delivered to the wrong address" -- they're "going to look into it" but I'm not holding my breath. And they wonder why they're losing so much business to other carriers . . .

Man that's a good price on FFTA2. While not as not as good as the previous ones (story-line wise), I won't complain. I've got nearly 60 hours into already, the most of anything this year (even Fallout 3). Payed nearly $30 and don't regret it at all. I freakin' LOVE strategy RPGs.
Im not too great with StratRPGs, is FFTA2 pretty novice friendly? That is a good price, and if I can get into it......
The gameplay doesn't really change at all thru the game - move on the grid, try to hit the enemy from behind, repeat. This series throws in the Judge/Law system that gives every battle a different restriction. And considering you can develop your characters into a blend of the several dozen "job" classes, the time can just melt away on this one. A true time sink - if you can stand the slower style of gameplay.

As for the story....

i bit on FFTA2, it's supposed to be massively easier than the original FFT but it's probably worth it for the price.

I just got Blue Dragon in Espanol.
I feel torn whether I should contact Newegg, because I kinda knew this might happen, and I know its playable.
But still... its shrink wrapped and not what I paid for. = /

When you say that you "knew this might happen", did you know of the issue when you ordered it? Because if you did, then it is what you paid for.

If not, then you have reasonable justification to complain.

I have patience for slower gameplay, however I tried playing through FFT on PSX back in the day only to not be able. However I liken it more to my lack of patience more than anything. I get so many games now days that I really dont like to play one game for very long since I have so many to play. I think I should just cut back, pick a good game to play and just go through them one at a time. Ugh this sucks lol.

So far I got Dark Sector and Viking. I keep hoping to see Conan in there for 9.99 I want it, but I don't want to pay the 16-20 bucks I see it for most places used.

If it really is I might actually like it, but I've been burned too many times by this genre.

True, I did know that other people were getting Spanish copies, so I did kinda ask for it, I kinda had figured that maybe they ironed out the problem after so many complaints, but obviously not.
However, I didn't know that I wouldn't be getting a manual. That is upsetting.

Looks like it (the offer on SC4 specifically) made the front page of Slickdeals already, so if you want it and haven't already ordered, you should probably grab it now.

The Slick Deals effect...
Hmm.... the cag price checker apparently didn't catch the price change on SC4. Still listed at 37.
Not sure why, maybe because it sold out so quickly at the lower price?

i just received a "Totalmente en Castellano" version as well.... and filled out the RMA 2 minutes later. Not going to bother opening it at all. If they advertise a spanish version on the site, then maybe they'll get a few sold, but not from me!
