Warning - just got Two Worlds and it's a NTSC-J! Japanese version does not work on NA consoles. Well, here goes an RMA.
Cheese and rice, Newegg really needs to starting testing before they sell them. This is getting crazy.

Just got credited back the 12.99 via an RMA chat. I tried to get them to send a North American replacement, but they claimed they only have the same ones they sent. Meaning - Japanese.
So do NOT order Two Worlds (unless you have a Japanese console...)

Really, you're better off without Two Worlds anyway. It's pretty bad.

Geez, with all of these other issues, I'm dreading to see what will happen with the copy of Project Sylpheed I ordered if it ever actually shows up. (The post office claims to still be "looking into" what happened to the copy they supposedly delivered, and Newegg is issuing a replacement, so one way or the other I'll hopefully get it eventually.) They need to start being a little more careful about where they get their games from, apparently. Did all of these fall off the back of a truck or something?

I suppose the way they are getting this cheap games is by going to the lowest price seller. I suppose that means they end up with borked items every once in a while.

I know! NTSC-J is clearly marked on the box. I pointed out that no where on their site does it specify Two Worlds is ONLY for Japanese consoles and for them to expect a lot of PO'd customers - like me.
I've always found Newegg to be a hit and miss affair. Back in '06 they sent me a cracked open (literally) 360 console which took over a month to RMA and finally replace. I never order hardware from them anymore. And I do a lot of computer builds.

They wouldn't have any borked items if they had people actually examining the games they sell. It's their rep that suffers by these little oversights.

It seems to be happening a lot more than every once in a while lately, though.

Wow. I've always had good luck with them when ordering hardware -- I've gotten nearly all of my PC components from them for a long time up until my last computer build a year or so ago (in which I got everything from Micro Center because I was in a hurry and didn't want to wait for shipping). All of this is really starting to make me wonder though whether they've really gone downhill.

sucks to hear about the problem with orders, I have had a flawless experience with newegg. I have gotten new, sealed versions of Dark Sector, Far Cry 2, DBZ burst limit, Bioshock, and viking
72 for a 10 dollar game is a good price. I dont know why your fast to say no go.
Um. Did you read what he said? Out of ALL the reviews only one scored a 72 or higher. Thats TERRIBLE.
soldier of fortune - payback, any comments? should I buy? anybody play it? worth ten? is it gonna be a spanish used version?? LOL!
I own and have played this game and cannot recommend for > $5. Everything blends into the background due to poor contrasting colors of targets and the background. I don't think you can jump, I remember being frustrated for some reason due to movement and I think this to be it. It felt very "under average" and non-enjoyable.

I also got a Japanese version of Two Worlds. Customer rep said they'd credit me back and to keep the Japanese version. Not sure what the hell I'm going to do with it though.

I've ordered a ton of games because of this thread over the past month or so and this is the first real problem I've had. Although, my copy of GRAW 2 didn't have the official seal but was perfect in every other regard.
Wondering if I should get Shadowrun or Two Worlds next. Just bought Viking.
Well, I'd tell you to avoid Two Worlds anyway (I played it for about 30 minutes and it was so awful that I couldn't stand it any longer), but given the problems that people seem to be having with getting Japanese copies, I'd definitely skip it here regardless.

I don't know, I really like Two Worlds. If you can look past the terrible voice work and other slight issues, the game became a great CRPG-style game on a console. The combat is not deep, but adventuring satisfies the loot-whore in me. It's basically a hack and slash game with a pretty robust RPG element to it.

I hated on it for years and then bought it from Gamestop during a great sale (when you could stack CAG16, B2G1, Edge and free shipping, plus I used store credit) and realized that I actually dug the game. I haven't played it in a while but each weekend I get the craving to play some more. It's a huge game. It was hard at first until you can level up enough to kill enemies, and harder enemies or mobs still involves me running away a lot of the time and then darting back to attack, but I for some reason really dig it. Guess I'm hungry for PC-style RPGs instead of the console RPGs or JRPGs.

I wish Newegg would get their act together. I ordered Shadowrun a month or more ago and I received the PC version. They credited me, but I haven't ordered anything from them since, especially after reading this thread.

two worlds aint that bad. I actually enjoyed it, plus the achievements are very easy to do. You also dont really have to grind much, just do the quest and your character will level up. The only thing bad about two worlds is the low framerates but there are console commands that improve the framerates.

Since ppl are saying NewEgg is selling a JAP version of Two Worlds stay away!

Hrm, maybe I'll have to try it again and see -- it's still sitting on my shelf because I got it cheap anyway ($8 in the CC liquidation) and TIV was so low that I didn't even bother. I wasn't impressed before, but who knows, maybe I was just in the wrong mood at the time.

That being said, yeah, still avoid Newegg for it since they're sending out the Japanese version. Game Crazy had it marked down to $4.99, if you've got one of those stores near you.
The PC version's supposed to be solid though.
Two Worlds PC was ok as long as you get all the patches! lol.
They never really got the horse riding right - I remember that was really annoying.
Dang my FF Tactics 2 for ds came yesterday. I ordered it tuesday morning. I always get my games fast from them but usually around a 5 day mark.
I ordered mine tuesday but it didn't show up yet. Could be because it shipped from cali and I live in ND so meh.

However, the tracking shows it was given to usps on thurs. so I should have it on monday, I hope.

They're now offering open box items.

Blue Dragon, live arcade unplugged, Kameo for $6.99. It doesn't look like it has free shipping though. Strange.

Logan's Shadow and Broken Mirror for PSP are back in stock for 9.99 each

Socom Fireteam Bravo and Ape Escape for PSP are also 9.99.

The live arcade unplugged open box is really confusing. Not only will the shipping make it as expensive as new live arcade, but it would presumably not contain the 1-month live free trial!

heh, glad i saw this thread.

Wow, i'm glad I checked the updates. i hadn't seen that Spiderman 3 was there for 360. At $12.99 I'll bite, especially since I unlocked 760 of the achievements and really enjoyed the game.

Got my FFTA2 today, which is probably the longest something of budget shipping has taken to get to me, but it's cool.

Very surprised at how fun it was, I've never been able to get into FFT, whether it be the PSX or GBA one. But this one seems to be beginner friendly, which sadly is what I need for StratRPGs lmao.

i received rainbow six: vegas today. it was resealed with no security sticker. but i dont mind the game works and the manual is there. i also ordered shadowrun and it was the 360 version. :D
