Metal Slug 7 is great. Legend of Kage 2 isn't bad.

bardock, I only played a bit of Tokyo Beat Down but I wasn't impressed with it. Seemed a step back for beat-em-ups... back from Streets of Rage 2, even. Just not that much fun.
yeah....nothing will beat MS 7
smile.gif
......Tokyo also wasn't bad as wel as Legend of Kage 2 too much short ihmo but beter than nothing :hot:
None of the games in that list are showing up for me. Searched for Legend of Kage 2, etc. :whistle2:/
Some of them are showing for me, but all the ones I were interested in are gone. Oh well...

Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume is still in stock at $12.99. Great game!

Thanks Sofa King for the DS list, got Galactrix PQ, wanted Devilish, but it was OOS.

On a side note: Can we ever update the 1st page to include the actual prices on this page? That post is so outdated.

I actually like the newer New Egg posts as they are much more current. Who has time to read through 2700 posts?
What's interesting is that a lot of those games are ones that went on clearance ar Fry's last fall - especially the obscure stuff like Tokyo Beat Down, Puchi Puchi Virus, and Neopets Puzzle Adventure. That seems like an odd coincidence. And even VP (which I started to play and actually enjoyed - I think it is well worth the $13, anyway).
Ha, that would explain why so much of this Newegg stuff has been opened. Fry's shoppers know that half the things on their shelves have been opened and returned.

Not updating the OP has its purpose anyway. When people from like SD come by and glance at the threads they don't sift through to the end.
:360: Beowulf dropped to $6.99 with FS. That might be my breaking point.
I played it a while back and I didn't like it much. The only colors in the game are gray and brown and there are many, many dead ends without a mini-map. The mini-games where you control your Thanes are kinda fun, though.

If you have a PSP and like Beowulf, the PSP version went down to $3.99 shipped, but I wouldn't recommend that either.

I don't keep up with this thread or newegg deals, but I went to get Bionic Commando for $9 shipped today, and found this, sorry if it's been mentioned or old news, but I thought it was a steal

Crackdown/Dark Sector/Blue MS recharge battery-$14.99 + free shipping

reviews say the battery is crap, but even if it works 10% of the time, Crackdown and Dark Sector for $15 is a good deal

Keep telling yourself that. All it takes is one person who frequents both sites.

Castlevania Wii is down to $13 I believe. I played it at my friends house after buying it on clearance for his BDay at $20. It seems to be worth $10ish as a decent fighting game and actually has online, tho I'm sure no one plays it online these days lol.

Today I ordered:
Superman
Splinter Cell: Essentials-I figure it'll be stupid hard due to lack of save anywhere capability, like the PS2 ones, and probably poorly done even though the hardware can handle something BETTER, but I've wanted to try it...
Bully-PC
Metal Slug Anthology-PSP
The Wheelman-PC
Dragon Quest Swords (been wanting to try this for some reason)
Alien Syndrome-PSP.

Not a bad haul, although it suddenly adds into real money when they're all combined :whistle2:0

Dragon Quest Swords is a pretty fun game but I would probably commit suicide if I paid $50 at launch. It's basically Dragon Quest on Rails and really short (most people tell me 10-15 hours).
yeah that metal slug anthology looks good, if i owned a psp i would grab that and persona

has anyone tried this?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16874103152 it the battery pack for the xbox, i sometimes go nuts if i run out of batteries and have to wait to recharge mine, having another set of rechargable batteries could be nice.
Reviews of it are kinda shotty, worth a roll of the dice though as those games that come with it rock.

I use these instead of battery packs. Great if you have Prime.

I think $15's good, EXCEPT I've already played the original and sequel, soooooooo I don't know. $15 seems kind of high in that scenario. It's good, but not THAT good. There's not even power ups.

I finally decided to grab Metal Slug Anthology:psp:

For a little over $8 after tax, there's no way I could go wrong. My lunch today cost more than that!

I have only ever used the rechargable battery packs. I am still using my 2 original controllers with the same packs that I've had for 3 years of xbox 360. I just plug on in and out as they die, they've paid for the difference in batteries easily over the years.

That infamous deal is fantastic!!!

I think you're on to something. I have noticed that several of the non-factory sealed items people have complained about like GRAW2 have randomly appeared at Fry's in similar sealed but not factory sealed condition over the past six months or so. I suspect New Egg and Fry's are using the same distributor.
Hehehe, Steamboat Chronicles.... Sorry, it amused me to picture steamboats fighting in an arena =P
haha oops...fix'd

FWIW, Zoids is totally worth it at this price. It offers something quite different from most SRPGs--instead of being able to power-level one or two characters that can single-handily clean the board, the game really requires you to make use of your entire team. Plus, since you use the same team of characters for the entire game, you really start to build a connection with them (albeit severely limited, as they're basically just tank, sniper, etc... lol). Be aware that if you want the full 1000/1000, it'll take you two complete play throughs....

Yeah from what I read what, 20ish hours to beat? Then come second play through you keep all your levels and such so it would be a lot quicker on your second play through. Doesn't seem too bad if you wanna go for 1000/1000. If my backlog wasn't so big and the game above medicore reviews I would probably grab it.

Either way if you have the *slightest* interest I would recommend picking it up. It's $6 and you could probably get your money back via fleabay or trading it in with promo credit or something.
Game design flaws and all, is Bionic Commando a good pick up at $10?

It looks pretty decent, but I don't know still.
Definitely. I thought the game was a lot of fun when I picked it up for $20 at Gamestop this past summer. At $10 it's a great deal.
