NewEgg.com Rock Band $159.99

Happy Ending:

I walked into Best Buy on my lunch break and bought one right of the sales floor. They had just gotten a shipment of 12 in yesterday. And I got it for the same price as I would have got from NewEgg thanks to the $10 off coupon posted in another thread. =D

Moral: Once you know, you don't NewEgg new games.
 
You got really lucky since the coupon expired a couple days ago. :)

(edit: oops, there are a couple others that you may have meant, I was thinking of the $10 of $29.99+)
 
I found a Sears nearby with RB in stock, so I'm doing in store pickup, and dropping the Newegg order. Between the uselessness of their pre-order system, the unhelpful livechat, and freakin' January!? They aren't keeping me happy as a customer.

Added bonus: For some reason, i wasn't charged sales tax on the sears.com order. woohoo!

Maybe it's January because it's technically a preorder of the next manufacturing batch?
 
same here, found it in stock at circuit city and paid $20 more than i would have through newegg. i guess the impatientass in me overrode the cheapass after the hoops newegg has put us through. not cancelling just yet though, circuit city has extended their return window for the holidays until january 25th (for 30-day return items), so i could still return the one from newegg there.
 
Those of you in the San Fernando Valley area of Cali, the Van Nuys Best Buy has tons of the 360 Rock Band Spec Ed. Saw them Sunday night. Glad I canceled my pre-order right after Thanksgiving. I think, all-in-all, I'm just going to get the game rather then the Spec Ed version.

just wondering if anyone got their Rock band bundle from newegg.com yet... I ordered mine on the 12th of november and it still has yet to be filled. I'm starting to think I won't be getting this in time for X-mas... and that I should of grabbed one when I was at Best Buy getting a wii on sunday...

I ordered mine on the 21st of October and I was given the January restock date. I'd say if you can can find it at a store - get it.

Especially at Best Buy where can find coupons here that'll make it just as cheap as it was through NewEgg.
 
THANKS... I was still waiting on my newegg order.. but it seems that isn't going to come before X-mas. was going to order yesterday from walmart.com but they wanted 12 bucks for shipping, plus tax... (wow what a cheap ass I am, lol)

just ordered this and canceled my newegg order
 
If ANYONE is doubting this game, just get it. It's so much fun. My mom found one copy left at Target and gave it to me as my early Christmas present. Good luck finding a copy guys!
 
Just thought I'd mention that for anyone still hanging on to their Newegg preorder, my card just got charged, and my preorder was transferred and lists as ready to ship. Not gonna get here by Christmas, but what can you do. I got a second bundle at Gamestop, I'm probably just gonna return it when I get the Newegg one.
 
after this debacle, there's one thing for sure; i will never use newegg to pre-order anything again. their lack of information and cookie-cutter responses really surprised me after having such good service from them on in-stock items. looks like that's what i'll be sticking to. lesson learned.
