NFL 2007 Season Thread
why do you hate VD?????
I don't hate VD, it's just the fact they drafted the kid #6 overall, which was idiotic, because TE's selected in later rounds ie; Leonard Pope do the exact same thing he does.

VD is not as good as Eric Johnson who the 49ers let go, which was another genius move. I'm not doubting VD's talents, the kid's a freak, and has played well the past two games, but it doesn't make up for the fact that he can't run routes correctly, and drops passes (not as much as D-Jax or Gilmore)

The 49ers problems can't be fixed overnight, it's up to York really, which is sad. We have no GM, it's Nolan I believe, and McCloughlin is the VP of Player Personnel I believe, so those two are the brain trusts. But it comes down to York, he either thinks it's the players or the coaches. To me, it's the coaching, with this much talent on the field, their's no excuse for this pitiful team they call the 49ers.
You guys need to cut ties with Grossman ASAP. The kid just can't put it all together.

Doesn't seem like as many Chicago fans are talking about D Nabb as I thought there would be. The real question is do the Bears think they can get back to the SB now or develop for the future? It's hard to tell with alll the injuries they've had on defense.
I'm sick of Grossman. I'm hoping we lose the rest of our games so we get as high of a pick as possible. I wouldn't pay the money for McNabb. He's overrated. I liked Orton when he was playing for Purdue. I say the Bears give him the rest of the season and evaluate him for next year. Obviously Griese and Grossman aren't the answer for the future.

Hey the good news is you don't have to worry about wasting your first round pick on someone in next years draft

Jake Long would look nice to the left of Brady.
would the pats take vd for that 1st round pick?
I wouldnt think so. If I had to guess, the Pats will trade the pick and move down in the 1st . This will allow them to pick up more picks to make up for the 1st rounder that they lost eailer this year. Trading the pick also allows the Pats to stay away from having to pay an unproven Rookie top notch money, and keeps them ahead of the cap.

Also what is working out for them is, when they traded the 49ers that 1st rd. pick last year the got this years 1st and an extra 4th rd pick last year. With the 4th rd pick they got they traded it to Oakland for...Randy Moss. That seems to be working out well for them.

They're happy with Ben Watson.

They might keep the pick if they can get a dominant player, but they know best, and they'll trade down if a guy they like will still be there. But, if they traded the pick for one guy... Chad Johnson?
If you actually thought the Vikings were going to win, then you're not a real Vikings fan.
Some Adrian Peterson fan you are.
Some Adrian Peterson fan you are.
I'm a fan of Adrian Peterson. Unfortunately, Adrian Peterson is being coached by Bald Clueless, the biggest douchebag in the NFL.

Not paying much attention to my sig lately eh? ;)

This is it. If the Giants win this game, they are going to the superbowl. Im calling it. You can quote me on it and use it against me if they dont. GO BIG BLUE!!! BEAT THE BOYS!!

real classy cowboys defense

(why am i the only one talking in here)

EDIT: looks like Jacobs was faking it, my bad

thats not cool, even for a Giants fan

I was expecting some more opposition from the Vikings, but pitching a shutout is a-ok ;)

If the Giants beat the Cowboys today, I will have no qualms about the Packers making it to the Superbowl.

I was really surprised to see the Steelers pull out the win when the last I saw, they were down 21-6. Props to them for keeping their heads up.

How long will ST continue to haunt the Steelers? Cribbs ate them up today from what I saw of the highlights. I thought Tomlin was working on ST quite a bit this summer...

And STL won, not MIA.

Glad to see St. Louis finally get a win this week, it has been a long season so far.

And this Chicago/Oakland game makes me want to stab my eyes out.
well....its over

im gonna go play madden and kick the Cowboys' asses with the giants just to make myself feel better
I've been down that road before, and let me tell you...it just ain't the same.
Peyton needs to get his shit together and score me some points.
He is scoring points for you, just in the wrong direction ;)

that is if your league gives you negative points for INTs

Holy shit...that was fucking hilarious. He got to the ten and I think he wanted to lay down. I've never seen someone so obviously run out of gas.
All the more funny if you've seen Clint Session in person. He's just a lump of muscle with a head.

And that somersault/backflip was fucking amazing. I've not seen someone do that in full gear.

Edit: Oh yeah, Polian is going to go apeshit on the NFL and the officiating with that one.
How about them Cowboys? :D
Cowboys vs. Packers is going to be epic (of NFC-like proportions).

Last year we didn't get the NFL Network game...better get that one.
