NFL 2007 Season Thread
He practiced today so I am about 99 percent sure that he is going to play.
Yea I'm glad he's going to play. Also happy that Favre is returning! I wish he'd try and reach the 500 TD mark but I don't think it'll happen.

Picks:

Jacksonville Jaguars 28, New England Patriots 21
San Diego Chargers 31, Indianapolis Colts 34
Seattle Seahawks 35,
Green Bay Packers 21
New York Giants 21, Dallas Cowboys 16

Last Week: 2-2 (JAX, SEA, TB, TEN)

Some may seem rediculous, but I have nothing to lose, so what the hell?

If I had to guess the scores i'd go:

New England 38 - Jacksonville 17
Indianapolis 31 - San Diego 21
Green Bay 31 - Seattle 28
Dallas Cowboys 35 - New York 21

I expect Randy Moss to have atleast 2 TD's with not too many yards recieving but yet Welker have a monster game catching atleast 10+ passes with more then 100 yards.

I expect Bob Sanders to have a great game. LT will be held without a TD and very few yards rushing and receiving due to Bob Sanders.

I also expect the both Favre and Hasselbeck to toss atleast 2-3 INT's each.

I also expect T.O. to really be a non factor( a couple of catches but under 50 yards total ) in the Dallas game. He won't have a monster game but he will still be drawing double coverage.

Anyone else care to make player predicitons?

Wow, I just read that the Steelers will have to play the AFC South and NFC East next year. That means the Colts, Cowboys, Jags, Titans, Redskins and so on. To add to that, they have to play SD at home and New England on the road in addition to the divisional opponents, which I expect to be much better next year. That's looks like a really rough schedule, and I expect most of those teams will be contenders next near. They better be ready to go. There are a lot of improvements that need to be made over the offseason.

More on topic, I want to see the Pack dominate this week, if not just to see Mr. "We want the ball and we're going to score" continue to eat his words.

That's a brutal schedule, I think the worst teams in both of those divisions had records of 8-8 (Philadelphia and Houston). They still have the inside track to a division title, but it's going to be ugly.

My turn!

Packers over Seahawks 31-0
Giants over Cowboys 37-34
Colts over Chargers 27-23
and...

I want to pick the Jags over the Patriots, I really do because I'm such a huge Jags fan, and have been since they came into the league, but...

Patriots over Jaguars 20-16
And ya know what? He did score, in fact, he threw the winning TD!:D

I don't really like doing scores but I see it as Jaguars, Colts, Packers, and Giants. The Jags pick is somewhat of a stretch but I think they can pull off a close one with their running game.

Late to posting this but here it goes anyways. Up by 1 point with over 3mins and Steelers try to milk the clock? Yeah whoever made those calls should be fired.
a few weeks ago everyone said the steelers would beat the pats, i dont remember how that turned out...
no..people said they hoped or wanted the Steelers to beat the Pats... now I want or hope the Jags to beat the Pats.. I'm sick of the ESPatN coverage... I think they just feed the Pats..it getting re-god damn-diculous...

I didn't think the Steelers matched up very well against the Pats. In fact, I was hoping we'd face them again this week.

i would agree that the Steelers would have been better off facing the Colts..but I would have bet that the game would have been closer that the last time they met...

they have the chance to do something thats never been done, it's going to be like that until they lose a game

You know you can quit watching "ESPatN" at any given moment and watch any of the other sports networks. Or read on the internet. Trust me. Its not like as if "ESPatN" is the only sports network in exsistance.

Oh, and GO PATS!

I'm enjoying the Pats coverage, because it gives me more Jags coverage. The Jaguars don't usually get much national media attention, so this is fun to watch. I can't wait for the game to start.

Anyone read how the Patriots fans got sand in their vaginas over the Jax website.

Whine when they win, whine when they lose, whine when they have the week off. Frankly, I'm embarrassed to be a Red Sox fan ATM.

I don't know where you live, but I got Fox Sports Network and VS. So their's very few other options to watch sports. I like Fox Sports because of their local sports coverage, but VS is a p.o.s.

I'm not really all that pissed about the ESPatN coverage, ESPN is East-Coast biased anyways.

yeah i cant bare to watch it either because it gets redundant every day. How many times do i have to hear the replay of the interview by Ellis hobbs saying he never even heard of the comments made by spicer or seen the website. and now its the O-Line interviews being replayed 10000s times....junk is even on Rome is burning...the pats season is special dont get me wrong..but holy hell. can i hear something about the others for more than 1 minute?

Out of everyone in the playoffs, I'm rootin' for the Jags. They're the sleeper team in these playoffs because they get almost NO coverage. Other than that...go Giants...beat them Cowboys.

Because the West coast doesn't care about sports the way the East does. They won't get the ratings from the West coast either way.

Here are my picks for this week.

DAL over NY
GB over SEA
INDY over SD
JAC over NE

Although if you look at trends, 2007 Dallas Teams have choked when it comes to the playoffs. 1st round losses for Mavericks, Stars, Cowboys.

Hopefully 2008 we'll set a new trend.

I think Jacksonville will edge NE by 3. I think if they follow what the Ravens and Philly did. ALso, JAC has a better QB than the other 2 teams.

......for a reason

j.k Its going to be a great game. Thank god they are playing tonight. It would be torture having to wait another day.

That won't matter if Garrard plays the same way he did against the Steelers. If he puts out that kind of production the Pats will be able to capitalize on those (I'm looking at those INT's!) and run the Jags into the ground.

That being said, I hope they follow the same formula the Ravens did, which is run right through NE's aging defense :D

well if the pats passing offense marches up and down the field, it won't make a difference if the jags can run on the pats. At some point they will have to throw it. The pats middle lb are old and slower then most, but adalias thomas is a big fast mofo...too bad rosie colvin got hurt, as having thomas as a ilb, and bringing in seau for 3rd downs would greatly improve the pats defense.

Its snowing here in Gb right now. It has been for about an hour now. Not too hard, but still! Go Packers!@!!!

Little to no wind. Just a beautiful dusting for Kickoff.

Edit: I just dropped my sister and her husband off at Lambeau for the game and let me tell you, the crowd is PUMPED!!

This is gonna be a very short game.

Doing shots of tequila and beers everytime Seattle scores is not turning out the way I had hoped.

Not that I'm complaining ;)

I got a feeling this game is going to be one fucking wild scoring game. Get that popcorn, eat your meatloaf..... do whatever you need to but make sure you have this game on.
