NHL 09 CAG Team - CAG Game Night - Fridays @ 10 PM EST

I normally play rw or center but can do it all. Tell me where to play and im there. # 26 but whatever. Im more of a set up guy not a pure scorer but can score as needed.


Got to get vulcan out of the penalty box though.

I think I'm going to try to start playing with you guys again. I had to give this up shortly after release due to my job taking up most of my time. Then I started playing all of the big fall releases and have just now started to get somewhat caught up. My 360 is currently on its way back from the repair center (damn RROD) and will be here next week. Anyways just checking in for once lol. Hopefully I can play again soon.
 
Watch out for Vulcan, he's an injuring machine lol.

Took out Adam Foote for a five minute boarding major. Strangely, that was how he got injured IRL earlier in the season.
 
Ha Ha. All my games I have caused an Injury. lol. Yah I do have alot of penalty minutes, but somebody has to be that guy! Also, I've met Claude in real ife and he is the nicest they come. I saw him at a game 10 years back. Philly vs Devils, my dad and I were the only fans there. He saw me and remembered me from an autograph signing and then stopped over and gave me a few pucks and a wave. Fast forward two years at another autograph signing and he still remembered me. Ahhh the okd days, how I miss them!
 
Wow The evil lemieux as i called him as a kid. ( mario lemieux Fan) I allways thought of him to be an ahole. Never met him. just from his play. Sounds like a pretty cool guy though.
 
Yeah, wasn't able to make the last meetup on Friday. I've apparently been tackling a bout of insomnia since the second week of this month, according to my doctor. Hopefully it's just insomnia and nothing more serious.

Count on me to be there Friday. I have some frustration to unleash on some unsuspecting fools.

You plan on getting 4 games played in 90 minutes? That seems a bit ambitious, but I'd be down for the 2nd DH. I can be on around 9, so whenever you finish your first set (if you're playing ChunkyB), we can play after. Just let me know.

usually takes me 20 mins per game... I dunno, I can start with Chuny B at 8 and then play you at 9... that would be fine.

Man, you must play some really clean games dude, haha. 20 is almost a perfect time with hardly any penalties or offsides calls. I don't know if the rest of us can live up to those standards, haha ;)

Either way, I'll be ready whenever you guys finish. If you don't get done till 9:30, it's cool. We can either play one game and pickup the nightcap another time...or just be a bit late for club play.

If I'm back from dinner by midnight I'm gonna jump into some club games if you guys are still playin...and I'm West Coast so I could play some games after that. Also Matt Young, I'll probably be home between 3-7 PST, let me know if you wanna play.
 
I was just on for over 2 hours after returning from the school and saw no one from the league online. I've even been appearing as online so people can see me. Guess I'll play some dynasty.

I got an invite from DestroVega. I told him we could play once I finished the game I was in, but got no response.

Anyone on for tonight? I got off a short while ago, but will be back on in an hour or so.
 
Well, I know DestroVega had a game booked at 8 PM EST with ChunkyBasty, and then one with me at 9. I'm just trying to stick to the "2 doubleheaders a week" reccommendation because the main focus for me is still club play. After DestroVega and I finish our games, I'll be ready for the club play start time of 10 PM EST. Might as well make a reminder so everybody knows it's still on...ahem:

CAG Hockey Night #9 - TONIGHT!!! - 10 PM EST - 2 AM EST
 
destrovega and I played 2 games. One of them got cut off because of my connection and I scored with 19 seconds left in OT to win the second one (his goalie kind of wigged out).
 
Wow, that glitch goal was totally accidental. Skated towards the net with the L trigger held down, mashing up incase of a one timer. Somehow insta-spined, rather than shooting it. I was getting a bit lethargic towards the end there too.

But man, playing goal got worse and worse.
 
My 360 froze at the end and I was too tired to get it back up again. But we had some good games going.


Me, n8, and capt. obvious won 2 games so I'm happy about that.

When You, AK and I played, you did damn good in goal. Sorry I left at 12, the wife comes home and we usually go food shopping. Pisses me off really. But shit, I got what? 4 assists last night? So I am a happy duckling! :D

We might need two CAG Hockey nights :D
 
Great session last night, after i figured out that i was stuck in a room by myself for about ten min. thanks for helping me on that n8, I could have been there for a while waiting for players.

I'm in the league now, if anytime sees me on at anytime and wants to get couple games in jut fire me a message and we''l go.
 
1-1-1 for the night. Not too bad there. Plus I scored the GWG in the first game with a wrister from the point which somehow went in. :D

We did a pretty good job last night guys. Let's keep it going for the next CAG Night.

Haha, great to see so many people had a good time last night! I think with the league games before and then club play, I was playing NHL 09 for something like 6 hours straight, haha. I didn't really have a great night statistically. I think I ended up with 2 goals (one of which got wiped away because the team quit as soon as I scored), and maybe like 3 assists. Just couldn't seem to get it going for some reason. Like moojuice, toward the end I was just getting tired and started playing pretty sluggish.

The dressing room flaws are really noticeable when you have as many people on as we did last night. I wish EA could patch that and implement either a numbered system (ie. dressing room 1, dressing room 2) or do what Captain Obvious suggested and have a main room that lets you just split up into groups so you know who's playing with who. Overall, pretty good games last night. And at least we finished with a win! Thanks to everybody for coming out, and welcome to the newcomers! :)
 
Last night was fun. I would've stayed longer, but was too tired. I got back on later due to insomnia and played Gears 2 with FrankySox and some other CAGs, but that was after you sent me that message, Nate.

Glad to see almost everyone being active in the league.

I think we had 4 different EASHL sessions going last night at one point.

And Vulcan, you really go food shopping at midnight? That sucks man.

And with the whole tiredness part, I know there were a few times in the last game I played where I skated in the wrong direction for no real reason, or kept skating into their zone even though the play changed directions to our end from the neutral zone.

Yup, wife works from 2 to 11 and then get's home at about 11:30 and she let's me play till 12. Then we go food shopping at Wal-mart. But next week I doubt it since we just paid rent. Gotta rely on Mac and Cheese that week lol.

great games moojuice, I think the OT goal was justified by me not being able to put one in the net in the second game...
