NHL 2007 Season Thread
Toews has only a sprained MCL.
That is good news. I want to see the other teams in the giving the Wings some good games this season.

Uh oh... Ottawa vs Washington tomorrow.

I would say Washington will win since Heatley and Spezza are hurt but watch they win just to prove me wrong...

Glad to see that Malkin is finally starting to pick up his scoring. Now, to find some of his rookie cards...

Ottawa is definitely going to miss Heatley, but Spezza is supposed to play vs. Washington.

I fucking love the NHL Network!
lol, why because your boy Toews isn't there?
That's one reason!:D At least Kane got picked. James Sheppard from the Wild could have been chosen, and Cogliano over Gagner for EDM. Oh well. It'll still be fun to watch.

I guess they haven't picked the goalies, yet. Probably Bernier, Harding, Price and/or Rask.

Good to see Phoenix starting to heat up. They've got some good young talent, and now a decent goalie.

A. Semin for Washington needs to continue scoring like he did last night.

Good job folding when the pressure was on... Sharts.

In other news... Get ready to lose to the Sharts on tues. Shieryda. Oh... wait, nevermind they're at home. xD

Should be a good game. Hawks are only 4 points out of a playoff spot, and have a good streak going. The Avs/Blue Jackets should be good tonight. Pretty important for Colorado.

Kane scored a pretty goal in the shoot-out last night.

Too many damn penalities in that game. Wings did look pretty good though. I had no idea Cheechoo and Marleau had been that bad all year.

^ kinda easy to win when the other team is all hurt. xD
Too many damn penalities in that game. Wings did look pretty good though. I had no idea Cheechoo and Marleau had been that bad all year.
Too many penalities? uh... More like the refs were deciding the game along with having blinder glasses on.

As for the Sharts players... well they all suck. They get this mentality like they only have to work a little bit and goals and pucks come to them. Their fundimentals are worse than a pee wee hockey team at times. You wonder WTF they were thinking when they make some of the passes they do.
Not lookin good dOOd. At the game RIGHT NOW. :p

On ipod touch and free wifi xD
Hawks took too many fucking penalties. Sharks made them pay twice (and got a shorty, just to rub it in).

I'll tell you who wasn't looking good last night:

Boston, Carolina, Philly, Los Angeles, Colorado, Atlanta and Ottawa (wtf is going on with this team?). All these games were either shut-outs or blow-outs. The Montreal/Boston game was fun to watch.

I really would like to know what the refs major malfunctions are right now... They've been pulling calls out of their ass... this game wasn't as bad as the last.
I'll tell you who wasn't looking good last night: Ottawa (wtf is going on with this team?).
I guess they're really hurt and the "magic" is slipping...
The Montreal/Boston game was fun to watch.
Huh? All the game was the hab's goal light going off every 5 min... I heard 4 goals in their first 7 tries off the news?? wow...

At one point, they had scored 6 goals on only 16 shots.:hot:
All Star stuff is on CBC & Versus this weekend.
I was getting pissed at Vs, because they kept showing replays during the Young Stars game while the play was going on. Why the hell didn't they have rookie goaltenders in this game? Totally unfair that they used veteran goaltenders. Manny Legace was hilarious, tough.

I commend Tim Thomas. But yeah... lol

Hay Nabby? can ya play like that the rest of the season?

Who the fuck picks this crap? Nevo or whoever the hell this no talent asswipe was? And also Hanson brothers 2.

lol, one of the cheerleaders had a gut too...

Wow the Atlantic Eastern Conference sucks. Right now the Rangers could be in first with three wins. That is if they can win three games! Also, Jagr needs to be traded. He is my favorite player of all time (and the only reason I cheer for the shitty Rangers) but he is on pace to have his worst season since playing with Washington. If he keeps it up he'll be worst then he was last season and last season he was less then stellar as is. I'm sure some team could have use for him and pay him the salary he needs for his internet gambling addiction.

Off topic: Whatever happended to the NHL08 360 league? Was I right that the EA servers didn't generate schedules and keep tracks of stats and it was more of a lobby? ajh never replied to my XBL msgs.
Also, Jagr needs to be traded.
There was rumors of him being traded here for Thorton... These guys are idiots here. lol

Indeed. The Sharks got a awesome deal getting him the first place, and to get rid of their awesome deal for a guy who can barely shoot 10.0 compared to his early to mid years of near 20.0 is beyond my thought process. My hero right now is a waste but maybe some internet gambling site will give him perks for shooting higher. ;)

Even if it wasn't a no brain stupid idea, Jagrs old, he ain't gonna stick around much longer and I don't think the Sharks are looking short term.

Speaking of beyond my though process... xD

Selanne signed on for another year with Anaheim. He will join them on their roadtrip (8 games?) and play the rest of the season. Any chance he'll get 20 or more goals before the end of the season?
I hope what he gets is a puck in the face and can't play out this season and retires. Good for nothing...
While I agree that his tactics for negotiating a comeback halfway through the season are a little disgraceful, I don't know that I'd wish him to get injured. He's a great player that will be welcomed with open arms into the Hall of Fame, once he's eligible. Both he and Neidermeyer pissed me off a bit by sitting out for most of the season, leaving their team to wonder what the fuck was going on.

Anyways, here's a little something on the Sharks:

I don't know much about hockey, nor do I like it. But, I watched the All-Star game on VS. and I thought it was good. I'm a Sharks fan mostly because their a bay area team, and watched Yvegni Nabokov (spelling)? That kid is nasty.

How can you be a Sharks fan if you don't like hockey? :p I think it is spelt Evgeni Nabokov and yes he is a pretty good goalie.

Speaking of players who have sat out most of the season and are coming back... looks like Forsberg might be rejoining the Flyers. His agent recently contacted Detroit, San Jose, Dallas and some other teams to say he was not interested in accepting their offers:

Well the Wings were robbed of a goal against the Ducks today on national TV. Horrible call.

Glad to see Richard Zednik is ok. He took an accidental skate to the neck.

I don't care if ur in First, you guys fucking suck. Thanks for nothing.

Edit: oh, hey now! Watch out! Washington is in 3rd! lool
Hay shieryda did ya see ur boy Toews?

Nice Ownage Phoenix.
He's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-ack!!!!!! Now to find an Upper Deck rc of his.

Toronto are the new cellar-dwellars.

I can't believe how fucking bad the Flyers are playing right now. Having Coburn (i still lol at his injury all the time, he ruptured an artery in his buttocks) and Hatcher out is hurting our D big time.

Also, check the new avatar. Awwwww yeah.

How did I not know about this thread until now? :(

The last good game I saw them play was that win against Anaheim a few weeks ago. I was actually at that game and the crowd was so impressed they were actually standing and applauding at the end (as opposed to booing and throwing empty Chickie and Pete's french fry containers as usual).

I was also at that game last weekend where they lost to the Rangers and their backup goalie and the linesman got kicked in the face by Steve Downie:

They lost but it was still an extremely entertaining game.

I was at the Ducks game too. I agree thats the last good game they played.

Flyers get Prospal for Picard and a "Conditional 2009 2nd or 3rd Round Draft Pick."

I like, even if it is just a rental. Especially now that Richards is out for a while. But who knows, maybe they'll sign him in the offseason, for whatever large amount of money he's going to want.

I love how the avs are trying to recreate 2004... Minus a goalie.

Can someone explain to me why sharts still have Marleau, Samsonov, and Shelley... ? But we gave up a great forward...
