Ninja Gaiden Black - XBOX $24.99 Free Shipping @ Outpost.com

It's an enahcned version of NG. They added the hurricane packs, 2 new difficulty levels, and some various other things.

Comes out 9-20. I am going to wait I want this game.

However about a week after it comes out it will be at EB used and then I can get it for 21 bucks. Or 18 bucks if it 25 used.

Nice deal though OP.
Same price as Best Buy with a GGC... can even use one of the new 29.99 and up ones.
You'll probably save another couple bucks by ordering from Outpost, as most states aren't charged tax.

Thanks dude. The regular edition of Ninja Gaiden was awesome, so I sold it in favor of this... it'll cost me a few more $$, but it's so worth it given all the stuff Tecmo's throwing in. Anyway, this deal got me to preorder.
Wonder if the arcade game extra comes at the expense of the (SNES versions of the) NES games from the original XBox NG.
Doesn't really make much sense for them to go into the game and remove those bits. I'm pretty sure that they'd still be in there.

Assuming they are (which they should be), this'll be the ultimate Ninja Gaiden collection.
Thanks OP! Maybe this time I can actually beat the game...
That's given that they actually added an easier difficulty level, I heard they only made it harder

Thank for pointing out the great deal OP! I was just getting ready to buy NGB from Outpost.com the other day when it was $29.99 free shipping, but I'm glad that I did wait now. Hey, $5 less than retail at EB & GameStop, no tax, and free shipping. I saved atleast $10!

:applause:

I sold the original for $33. I hope that was not a mistake that I may regret someday??

I just ordered it

Thanks for such a sweet find.

My Favorite Game this Gen, I'm working on beating it on Hard right now to unlock the original Ninja Gaidens. I'm definatley picking up this one for the extra missions etc

I still have the original version waiting to be played. Did they change the original game or is it just more levels after the original. Trying to decide if I should even start the orginal or sell it for this.

Aren't the Hurricane packs even harder? I didn't even beat the original yet. I was stuck at one part in Chapter 17 I think.

hurricane packs are harder i think. but ninja gaiden black isn't just NG + hurricane packs. this one has extra missions, ninja gaiden arcade, and new difficulty modes (even an easier difficulty mode for the weaksauce). this is basically ninja gaiden 'substance' at a cheap price. hardcore fans may consider this as a brand new game with the new bosses, enemies, etc. and at $25 that's a pretty damn good deal

yup. I had a harder time with Hurricane Pack 1 than I did in Very Hard.

Hurricane Pack 2 is unspeakably difficult. It's a bunch of arena battles topped off by a new boss that puts Alma to shame.
Outpost comes through with another solid deal. They're really doing a number on my pocketbook lately.
As it gets closer to the holiday season, Outpost really delivers in terms of good deals. There's 20-25 games coming out from now until the end of the year that I'm for sure getting, so my wallet's going to get ass raped anyway.
Do I really have to say anything about this game :)
Yes, please do, just so I can hear some more about how I can't wait for this game to arrive. I put off buying the first one just having a weird suspicious feeling something better would come along and look what happened.

Good move with the whole waiting thing... I personally had to buy the original but I'm definitely upgrading now.

The game is sweet though. One of the best action games ever and definitely one of the best games of this generation.

Damn... I'd love to switch my old one for this, but I just feel bad letting my hard-earned save data go to waste. I don't suppose this game would recognize a save from the standard NG, would it? With all the games I need to get around to, I don't feel like playing catch-up and beating it all over again (I'm sure some CAGs can empathize here). Damn re-releases! :twoguns:

Hurricane Pack 2 gave me headaches. After beating it once, I stopped playing for a month and when I picked it back up, I couldn't even get past the second level of the tower...

But I thought Hurrican Pack 1 was easier than Very Hard. I think the enemy AI/brutality was the same but they gave you 'Intercept' from the very beginning (or near - it's been a while so I don't remember the exact place), and that move alone made the whole game a LOT easier on it's hardest difficulty settings.

IGN says they redid the hurricane packs so you now get intercept much later. But Master Ninja mode sounds crazy - every weapon and move from the start ^_^

Anyhoo, thanks OP! 1st preorder I've done in a while.

Ninja Gaiden was one of the best games to come around in a long time, however, the difficulty was ruthless. This turned off quite a few people, including one of my good friends. Hopefully with the "Ninja Dog" difficulty it will be a much easier game this time around, or as difficult as you want it to be.

Bwahahaha! I figured I'd have to wait for a drop on this one (and it ships free, too!). I haven't even played the original yet, but this looks like the best time to buy. Great find, OP.

I played through all 3 NG games when they first came out on NES. I have the Xbox version. Beaten it twice on Hard Mode and collected all the original NG games. Just started working on the Ninja Tournaments. It's a really, really great game. Looking forward to this version. Being able to play NG arcade is a definite plus. I never really got to play it that much.

Anyway, I just went to the site and tried to check it out, and the subtotal's $29.99???

Plus, they had this phrase:

" Please note that we charge sales tax for AZ, CA, CT, GA, OH, TX, NV,WA, IL and IN. "

Unfortunately, my state's listed.

I think I can just wait for it to come out on retail. I figure I could get it with a $5 off from the BB GGC. Or hopefully, Fry's might even start selling it for $19.99. I mean, they did sell GR: Summit Strike for $19.99 when it first came out.

It looks like they've moved the price back up to $29.99, though it still says $24.99 on the item page. Good thing I got in on this yesterday.

Damn, IL has to pay tax...guess I'll just buy it in the store. I want it the minute it hits the shelves anyway.

good question- the articles on 1up, GS, and IGN contradict each other about this-- one says that if you have completed save data, then you can play master ninja and the missions from the start instead of unlocking them. Another said they are available from the begining.

I think it's easier for me cause I played through the HP right after beating Normal..I just flew through very hard like nothing. my favorite part-- no fucking ogres in the normal game! I hate those guys with a passion :)
