agreed. Glad they kept out those damn respawning birds though :) Well, I guess the ghost fish replace them, hah
 
I think it'll work fine I'm just wondering if it really will come out this year (current release date is 11/1/07 pushed back from 10/1/07 a few weeks ago) As many times as Ninja Gaiden on Xbox got delayed, if it's anything like that we won't see it til about 09.
 
if anything, they always have tight controls in their games, so I imagine this will work fine.

definitely a day 1 purchase for me :)
 
This game better have a "Give me a fucking chance!!!" difficulty setting. I've wanted to get into the new NG games, but my reflexes + Ninja Gaiden = disaster.
 
Yeah, I think the backgrounds and the actual game looks good. It's just the cut scenes that look crappy to me.

Eh, it's all about gameplay though... right?
 
i kinda like the comic book style cutscenes, gives it an edgier feel without having to jam up the ds's graphics card, besides they can stick more content into the cart that way :)
 
I don't know about getting this game, I just want the stylus that tecmo gave away at their press party. Its a freakin sword!!!!

definately needs to be a preorder gift. I missed out on so many ds stylus so far i hate myself. This one has to be the best so far.
 
A sword stylus bonus would be amazing.

I still got my Phoenix Wright stylus sealed.
 
I don't think they announced a Japan release date at TGS....not a good sign.
 
Yeah the U.S. release date has changed from 10/1 to 11/1 recently. But I'm thinking there's only about a 10-15% chance it comes out this year at all. Just my gut feeling.
 
It may come out this year but i really doubt it, its coming out fairly soon for Japan, so im guessing early 2008 for US.

But I think people like to see signatures just not in screen filling form. I know I like them. They can be creative, sometimes.

 
got the demo today. It's a tiny, short demo, but proves the concept of complete stylus control. It's awesome.

Man I don't know if I like this having all the ds games I want to play use the stylus only. With Phantom Hourglass it was awesome, but IMO with Final Fantasy Reverant Wings it was terrible. Hopefully I like Ninja Gaiden DS like I did Zelda PH.
 
I played the demo a couple of weeks ago (I downloaded it at Wal-Mart), and I have to say I was really impressed with the game. The stylus controls worked great, and overall the game was fun. But yeah, the demo is way too short. After playing it though, I might actually be willing to buy it on the day of release (I seriously must have played that demo at least ten times before I finalyy shut off my DS to play another game).

Yeah, that would definitely push this into a must-preorder game. Heck, I've preordered shittier games just to get their stylus, so to get that sweet stylus along with this awesome game would definitely be a no brainer.

I want this, but the box art does suck horribly. I was expecting more, but oh well. Still gonna pick this up at/near launch, need to prepare for NG II.

Yeah, that's why I'm going to do it online. I don't trust my B&M stores to actually have the stylus.
 
still better than NG:B's box art (the design sucks, but the image quality in real life makes it 10x worse.)

this game is going to kick so much ass. Seems like people always get pre-order bonuses when they order online, so I'm gonna do that to be safe on this one.
 
Oh man, I'm definitely preordering this now. Surprisingly, I've never had a problem with getting preorder bonuses from one of my local stores, so I'm giving the B&M route another shot.

It plays just like the 3D console game, which was an action/adventure type game. As for the demo, I downloaded it at Wal-mart back in November, and if it hasn't changed by now (haven't heard anything about a new demo cart being out), you should be able to find it there or at other stores that usually have it (GS, BB, CC).

I just hate how it's $5 more at GS. I could get it at GC for $29.99, but damn, that stylus is worth the extra $5.

Yeah, the demo is in all the units at GameCrazy, Gamestop, Walmart, TRU, etc.

It played suprisingly well, I liked it a lot.

Yeah, I hate to actually pre-order and buy this at GS when I work at GC, but I really want that friggin sytlus as well.

This was my first online order since March 2006 when they killed 25% off + free shipping. :whistle2:( Made 5 orders a month for 9 months prior to that.

Probably throw $5 down on a preorder in store too just to ensure I get it one way or another.

Downloaded the demo at TRU this afternoon. Was pleasantly surprized, it looks like it's going to be a fun game. Stylus play was super easy and the movement animations were nice.

My brother liked it so much we're gonna pre-order another at EB next week.

I really enjoyed the demo but I don't know if I want to spend retail on this... but that stylus is pretty sexy.
 
I need to grab the demo. I have strong reservations on this as I wasn't at all a fan of stylus only control in Zelda.

I'm considering preordering another copy B&M on Sunday when I pick up Brawl, then returning it after I buy it so I can keep the stylus. :lol:
