It will. The Wii Remote bases it's movement on the sensor bar, not what's on the screen.

I have a feeling in this particular case, it's not so much the gun being necessary, but to make it feel like Duck Hunt.

And they can certainly make the gun necessary by not putting a cursor on the screen where the controller is pointing. Unless you can aim well from your hip, you'd need to sight it.

You're forgetting the more important question: Does the trigger have a loud metallic springy sound still? Or do I have to hack my NES lightgun to use on the Wii?

The original ones were gray. They later moved to the orange because the gray ones looked "too realistic." :lol:

Does anyone know if the Wii will have to be positioned right in front of you, or if you can place it off to the right, left, etc.

Not if I pre-order...then again...that pre-order PS3 might go to oh..idk..ebay...depends on how I feel about spending that much money at that time.

If for some reason I cant get my hands on one then I may get a Wii...but MGS4 also comes out in 07. Do I want Snake or Snake? Hmmmm....

I still can't believe we're 1.5 years into the DS's lifespan and there's been no talk of Smash Brothers DS. I strongly doubt there'll be anything about it at this E3, but I'm hoping for next.
