Speaking of 2K deals, there was a 2K Switch bundle over the Black Friday weekend for 4 games - Civ VI, NBA 2K19, Carnival Games, and NBA 2K Playgrounds 2, all for $109.99.  Personally I found it to be a good deal so I pulled the trigger.

Edit:  It was at 2K store, directly sold.

Don’t quote me but I think Nintendo has done an eShop sale in the past and included some first-party games closer to the end of December. I think the other consoles/game services do so too. Probably to take advantage of lots of gift cards being handed out as presents.

Jydge is $2.49 on Google Play for Android devices right now. Thinking about buying it to play on my Chromebook.

And I didn't know that the Wii U still had weekly sales. I need to dust off my Wii U and check this thread more often.

I had heard online that new 2018 Switch consoles had better hardware than 2017 launch Switches.

I decided to take a chance and trade my launch Switch for a new Switch during Thanksgiving sales to see if what I head was true.

I'd like to report my findings.

I've had my Switch since launch, and the WiFi was really weak when you were far from your wireless.

I traded my launch Switch for a New one on Black Friday and the new one has MUCH MUCH better WiFi!

The volume button on the 2018 Switch seems like it's different, but better.

The kickstand uses a different plastic than the launch Switch.

Even the game card slot clicks differently when you put a game in, at least it seems that way for me.

Also, the overall build of the console feels like it's a different plastic than launch models.

If you have a launch Switch, and you can spare the extra money, I'd suggest trading your old one and buying a new one.

It's nice to have a fresh Switch for #SmashBrosUltimate!

Also, the cloud saving worked PERFECTLY!

Was able to transfer everything I needed to the new Switch! It even carried over my Mii linked to the account!

Go to Nintendo's YouTube account for a video tutorial on how to prepare your Switch for selling.

And make sure you're connected to the internet when you format your Switch so that it automatically de-links your accounts on it.

I've noticed this too. Thought it was either my wifi or something wrong with my specific switch. The wifi won't connect or will stop during downloads. Though I've never been dropped from an online game. Sounds like either Nintendo needs to recall and replace all old units or there needs to be a class action lawsuit.

biggest problem with the poorly made switch is the abilitiy to connect online, noticed it cant do mulitple connections so if u download, it wont go well if ur connected online and vice versa, really noticeable when playing diablo online and trying to download

 
The dev ezone has dropped the price of their switch game CAR Quest down from $9.99 to $0.99 to get some traction on the eshop.  If you played the old ezone.com games like Lenny Loosejocks, this is the same people.  I bought it and put about an hour into it. The game is an environmental puzzle game where you drive a car in the open puzzle world to collect stuff which opens paths to other areas with the overall goal to unlock the memories of what happened in the world. There are ramps to jump, blocks to push, and other environmental things to navigate.   I won't over hype it and say it's the best game ever or anything like that, but for a buck it's not a bad experience to relax to.  I intend to actually finish this as it's supposed to be around 5 hours of gameplay.

I also took the plunge. This game sucks. I can't complain that much for 99 cents but if I had paid any more I would be extremely upset. Personally, I would say most people on this forum should pass on this "deal" as it's just a non-fun collectathon with some occasional puzzles and an annoying olmec from legends of the hidden temple-like talking head.

I can respect that completely. The game is quite linear in progression but at about 45min the puzzles start to get a bit more interesting and I can see from the video that there's still a lot of the game world I haven't seen yet. Once I finish it, I'll have some better feedback for if it's actually worth it or not but I'm getting my $0.99 out of it. At an hour in, I find it fairly relaxing. Figuring out how to reach stuff isn't that challenging at all (might be more geared towards young kids), but it's nice seeing where the story is going as the world comes to life with various creatures and locations. I'm have a lot more fun with this than say Proteus (PS3/Vita), which had a similar simple graphic elegance to it but kind of left you wondering around with no purpose other than to try and figure out how to interact with the world.

I just frickin hate how we have to have debates about whether a game is worth a 90% discount at $0.99. Stupid Steam Store-ification of Nintendo's shop.
 
Because only AAA titles should be allowed on your switch, and there should be no such thing as an “indie” developer. Make a AAA game company or quit, right?

Damn i hate how Nintendo not only allows indie developers to have a voice, but they force me to buy their games also...

Oh I buy cheap stuff all the time for no reason because it looks possibly interesting such as Car Quest. I like the aesthetic but you may or may not find it actually fun. I personally don't so spending money on something that is not fun is not ideal but as I said, I can't complain for 99 cents. The developer says they dropped it to get more visibility to the product, which they have effectively done as we are talking about it, but that also means people are going to point out their likes and dislikes about said product. I like the aesthetic but not the actual game play. Playing as a car collecting things feels almost like old resident evil tank controls. I also personally wish you could jump like with some boaster or whatever those things that make cars "pop".

Literally said none of those things. Quality control would be nice, though.

When you get to the point that it's hard to argue in favor of something being worth it at a $1, you've got some garbo on your storefront.

If my calculations are correct, the game will go live in the Japan shop at 7AM Pacific Time on Thursday, December 6th.

This version of the game includes full english if your system is set to display english (according to the eShop listing)

The big names are going on sale in the shop. Great time to convert to digital. Especially if you got the 15% off eshop cards at Dollar General last week.
 
My copy of Smash Bros showed up today from amazon.  Pretty psyched to play it when I get home.  I'm at over 3 hours into Car Quest... the puzzles get a bit harder at this point.  I had to search the entire map for 15 min for one piece that unlocked because it just wasn't clear where it was or how I'd get to it.  Figuring that one out (required a massive jump after a drift boost) was pretty satisfying.  Overall, not the best game ever, but I'm glad I bought it and the dev responded over on reddit to the feedback I posted that they are working on a Lenny Loosejocks game for the switch.  Not saying they are the best games ever either, but I really loved the old shockwave games back in those early days of web based games.
