I really hope somebody in here will have some info on this. I don’t frequent this particular thread often so please forgive me if this has been covered. I’m having issues redeeming my free 9 month Nintendo online from twitch prime. I never got the email letting me know that it was available to redeem. I was going to play some Tetris99 today but found that my 3 months of online had expired so I went to the twitch loot page to redeem the remaining 9 months. It shows “claimed” but above that there is a statement that if it’s not activated I may need to finish claiming the offer and to click there. When I click it takes me to a page that thinks for a minute and then gives me this message: “There was an error claiming the Nintendo Switch Online offer. Refresh this page to continue claiming or go back to the Twitch Prime offer page.“

Has anybody figured out how to fix this issue? I spent a bunch of time in chat with amazon and on the phone with Nintendo and neither one of them had a solution for me

dude I know what I saw with my own eyeballs. CCC isn't always properly updated. Do you think I'm lying or something? Post goes live, an hour into it I check, prices are higher from all sellers. I really don't know what else to say.

RE-read the GS threads.

GS went OOS on some games during the sale, Amazon stopped PM. GS came back in stock.... Amazon PM'd again. (again re-read the threads, it's discussed and "used" copies of the games showed up all of a sudden for higher...)

Some games never went OOS. Sushi strikers never went OOS, which was the game that was mentioned in the beginning, it was in my wishlist all this time and never changed price. I played the demo but wasn't sure id actually play it so i didn't buy it.

I had the same problem too. The 9 remaining months wouldn't show up and kept giving me an error. I had to clear my cookies/cache and go through incognito mode on my PC (might have used a different browser, can't remember) but eventually I got it to work.

Do you have any adblock software installed? I think I may have had a problem with one of the twitch offers that worked when I disabled my adblock.

That's a real philosophical question you asked there...

But from purely comparing different versions of this game across platforms, obviously the mobile version is cheaper, but the Steam version is interesting. It's $12 MSRP, but has a $35 season pass, which appears to just be different theme/skin swaps for the game. I would assume the cost is that high due to making new art and animation for each theme. The Switch version came out later than the Steam version, and is priced at $30. I don't know for certain, but reading descriptions it looks like the Switch version has several of the DLC themes from the Steam version. And then the Switch version's season pass is only $10, and based on that description it sounds like the same DLC themes will come out for both versions' season passes. So taking the content as a whole, the Switch version is cheaper than Steam version.

I think the game is that "expensive" because they put in a bunch of work on it from an art & animation perspective, as well as UI and multiplayer. I haven't bothered reading a review, so no clue if it's actually a good version of the game, but they definitely spent time working on it. Plus I'm sure it costs money to license the IP from Hasbro (unless Hasbro hired these folks to make the game, in which case perhaps Hasbo has a say in pricing the game).

Seems that way, my walmart has been doing the $50 launch price since around when DMC5/Sekiro came out. Not sure if they're just trying to take advantage of the situation or what but it's pretty awesome.

It is for me anyway. I cancelled my DQ Builders 2 preorder with Amazon as it was full price with the slow (non-prime) free shipping and gambled the new pricing at Walmart would apply, and it worked out. I saved money and got the game quicker than what amazon could offer (without prime).

Really this deal with Walmart pricing games cheaper has me keeping a few games in mind that otherwise I would have passed on. Astral Chain, for instance, is borderline what I love in games but I'm not sure how much until it releases. So I can read reviews and get feedback without being locked into a preorder... and still save money. It just seems weird, because Wal-Mart hasn't been my default game retailer since about 2004. But if it means saving money, I'm not complaining!

I see a lot of hate for the lite a lot of talk of losing features...but according to digital foundry it has the new Tegra x1 mariko chip...I had a lot of issues with my launch switch such as scratch gate, bend gate, joycons stopped attaching themselves to the switch..a lot of folks I know who have switches also have these issues. They don’t hinder performance but honestly the og switch doesn’t have that quality feel to it at least it didn’t for me. I mean I played Mario oydessy connected to the dock and my switch bend and my dock warped...who wants that lol

I’m excited to get a true handheld switch without having to worry about buying a $70 controller again or $80 joycons every 2 months. Would be cool if the option to connect to hdmi was available, or a 1080p screen. But you get more battery life at least...either way I’m ready to buy lol

I think they are still waiting for FCC approval... The new production runs of current switch are going to get the Mariko chip upgrade as well. The lite is a lower quality, stripped down system, like the 2DS. I wouldn't get your hopes up. It'll probably bend as well, and odds are that Nintendo did not fix the analog stick drifting issue. So WHEN they start drifting or just break, you'll have to send the whole console to Nintendo to fix.

Right? Walmart hasn't been my primary place for games since the N64 era. Lately I've been getting both my clearance and new releases there.

But from purely comparing different versions of this game across platforms, obviously the mobile version is cheaper, but the Steam version is interesting. It's $12 MSRP, but has a $35 season pass, which appears to just be different theme/skin swaps for the game. I would assume the cost is that high due to making new art and animation for each theme. The Switch version came out later than the Steam version, and is priced at $30. I don't know for certain, but reading descriptions it looks like the Switch version has several of the DLC themes from the Steam version. And then the Switch version's season pass is only $10, and based on that description it sounds like the same DLC themes will come out for both versions' season passes. So taking the content as a whole, the Switch version is cheaper than Steam version.

I think the game is that "expensive" because they put in a bunch of work on it from an art & animation perspective, as well as UI and multiplayer. I haven't bothered reading a review, so no clue if it's actually a good version of the game, but they definitely spent time working on it. Plus I'm sure it costs money to license the IP from Hasbro (unless Hasbro hired these folks to make the game, in which case perhaps Hasbo has a say in pricing the game).

Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee is a remake of Yellow with the Red and Blue version differences (Pikachu being Red.) There's a smaller move pool and only the original 151 + 2 Pokemon are available for the game. Mew requires purchasing a Pokeball Plus new (limited compatibility with Sword/Shield outside of being a Pokewalker) The two new Pokemon Meltan/Melmetal require interacting with Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go communication doesn't open up until Fuchsia city and is a one way transfer. Catching is done through waggle controls in tabletop / docked mode or through gyroscope aiming and pressing A  in handheld mode (Switch Lite as well.) The partner Pokemon is between a wild caught Pokemon and it's evolution (except for Pikachu's speed because Ash's Pikachu was faster than Lt. Surge's Raichu in the anime.) It cannot evolve but can learn special moves (with childish names.)  Eevee gets better type coverage.

I've seen this mentioned on a forum, info from a reviewer apparently. Take with a grain of salt but the times look legit/logical.

Previews go live Wednesday morning 8am est.
Reviews go live Thursday evening 7pm est.

Nintendo is hilarious, they announce a new switch lite that is focused for on the go and handheld only. Then they announce a revision to the original switch that has better battery life than their new on the go handheld switch.

The bigger system has more room for a bigger battery. The smaller system is $100 cheaper and more portable. It makes for a more balanced decision if the extra $100 is worth it to newbies.

As is, I'm just sticking with my switch from the first restock after launch. The battery life is fine for the limited use i give it as a portable and I have a small travel case that works well enough to make it portable. The redesigns and updates aren't for me. When they do a switch pro with much beefier hardware and slightly bigger 1080p screen... I may be interested.

 
I'm hoping that by pushing back the release of a Switch Pro revision that we'll be more likely to get a legit upgrade down the road. I don't want to see another 3DS to New 3DS jump. I'd like a truly premium option even if that means premium pricing. That way Nintendo could come out and say that they really do have something for everyone with the Switch.
