9/27 is the date for River City Tokyo Rumble (3DS). The physical version will be pre-orderable on Amazon as soon as they fix the issue they are having with the listing. I think that's the ONLY retailer that will have pre-orders for the game and it comes with a keychain bundled in.

I don't think it's their call. Nintendo's Spotpass was through attwifi, which a lot of companies used, but Home Depot went with their own Wifi (the one I used to work at switched to Verizon, no idea if that's countrywide) that has a different signal than attwifi.

It's also a bit more complicated to set up attwifi, as you also have to change the MAC address on the router in order for the spotpass stuff to work.

Mario Strikers Charged is coming to the Wii U VC and Super Castlevania IV is coming to the 3DS tomorrow.

Whoa, isn't that the first Gamecube game on the VC? I don't think I've seen any before, and they skipped right from 64 to Wii.

e: Oh, Charged was one of the first Wii games, first Strikers was Gamecube. Nevermind! Downloadable Killer7 will never happen.

They updated the details and it's pretty much Amazon.com only in the US... and Natsume's store... neither of which are doing pre-orders. So the 27th rolls on and I'll have to get it that way. I think this is far too niche for BB... it's not even going to be at GS. This is one of those titles that if you love the series you have to just be happy there is an option for a physical copy at all even without any discount.

Already bought Phoenix Wright and Picross 3D R2, which I forgot about.

I also just found out today that, for some reason, only the Wii U virtual console has GBA games (except for those from the Ambassador program). That makes a lot of sense. It also makes a lot of sense how, despite owning Earthbound on Wii U, I would still have to pay 10 bux to get it for my 3DS, despite having the same account on both. Not even a goddamn discount.

This venture back into the eShop has only confirmed that Nintendo really needs to fix this kind of shit with the NX's launch.

Yeah, I did that for DD, and I'll be waiting for the 50% off this time. Plus I bought DD based on Crapcom saying if it sold well, they would look in to a physical release, which was just flat out BS!

EDIT: BTW, I recommend Steel Empire to those of you who like shooters. It's a really solid game, but the normal price is all but silly for an old 16 bit remake, but for the current sales price, I say go for it.

You just need to get far enough in case 1 to save, so the first normal dialogue prompt. Save, return to title, DLC menu will be there. There you can fetch the costume.

I can't tell the difference between the Phoenix Wright DLC costume and his normal costume. It looks like the EXACT SAME CLOTHES and there's no way anyone could tell the difference between Phoenix in the DLC costume and Phoenix in the normal costume. It's like they're the same guy!

reason I ask is that I don't play games much but I like to keep things up to date so I don't get stuck with some gig or 2 update if I got 20 minutes to kill (or of the zombies come and kill the internet I want to be left with a fully updated collection while I'm eating bugs and fighting rapey bikers)

Since Wii u doesn't have a convenient update system like the ps4 I want to be able to know which discs to put in without having to run through the collection every few months

The updates just automatically download on Wii U. If they exist for the games you've played, they'll be ready and waiting for the next time you put the disc in to install them. Just got to the Download Management section to see what's waiting to install.

It appears, but at least for me, it wouldn't load up until after I completed Case 1. It had a blue "locked" hue on it and after the "Preparing" screen, it just went back to the Extras menu.

I don't know; I stopped when Phoenix got to the defender's podium before the first trial started and the main menu had the DLC option. It let me go through and download the costumes.

I'm going to have to revise my opinion of Adventure Labyrinth Story. At first I thought it was just passable, but that's just because I only finished the first dungeon. Besides the Abyss dungeon that comes after, I've also heard that there's a whole new one that wasn't in Adventure Bar Labyrinth.

With that and the two new playable characters with surprisingly different play styles, this is a damn robust game. For five dollars it's a steal.

You can get it for $20 at Walmart stores, GS & Amazon(Prime-Only). So for not getting a cart, box, or the stickers and whatever else might be in the box... the only benefit to the digital version would be it being digital if you prefer that over carts.

No idea what an "amebo" is, but as far as I know, none of those games have amiibo functionality. Super Mario Maker on the Wii U used amiibo as a shortcut to most of the initial Mystery Mushroom costumes, but the costumes are being junked entirely for the 3DS version.

I suppose they could leave in the 8-bit Mario Big Mushroom powerup, but that hasn't been confirmed one way or the other as of yet.

I doubt Story of Seasons works with amiibo, and Yokai Watch works with the toy medals, not amiibo.
