I have the Splinter Pack cart, which has both TMNT Nickelodeon games and can be found for around 7 dollars online. I'm halfway through the first one and it's not worth it: repetitive, ugly and short. I have yet to play Danger of the Ooze, but it's supposed to be a decent Metroidvania.

That's the one I was looking for, but I couldn't tell if it was one of the 3 on sale or not. None of the games for 3ds had any reviews at Metacritic, but I thought I remembered one being a Metroidvania type game. You haven't played that one yet, though? If you say it can be gotten online for $7, then I'm certainly not paying $15. Thanks for the info.

I didn't say that it was a perfect patch, but I've played on both New and vanilla and the lag is noticeably improved on the New system. Not just in battles, but loading the game and even loading the overworld after a battle take much less time on it. In fact, the only place I would say it's really noticeable on the New is during 2v2s, and even then it's livable and goes away the moment somebody gets a KO.

Or the one you were replying to where I pointed out that these were New-enhanced games that are pushing the 3DS' limits and yet there they are referring to the lag on the vanilla as if it's some programming bug that should (or even can) be patched out.

Of course, this is the Internet, where nobody ever bothers to read anything, much less use critical thinking (like understanding that just because something is "bad" on one tech version doesn't mean that it can't be even worse on a weaker version), and people would rather make posts without really knowing what they're talking about, so I shouldn't be surprised.

Well, i did it. Made the leap into nintendo 3ds territory for the first time. Decided against selling the super mario edition and time to charge it, wait, where the fuck is the charger!!!!!!!

You where supposed to buy it when you bought the N3DS, at least that is what "N" thinks you are supposed to do, or you are supposed to already own one of their devices that use the same adapter. If you don't, your SOL. Welcome to the wonderful world of Nintendo! LOL

Yeah I'm a little worried I won't get it in time. Stuff typically ships really fast for me from best buy, but it hasn't even shipped yet so not looking good.

Somehow spent $30 on this sale. Return to Dreamland, A-Train, Fast Racing Neo, Starship Damry, and the Kirby puzzle game. Adds up quick when 50% is a good discount...
 
I was able to pick up the $35 card from Best Buy on Saturday for $30. Used it to get Lego Jurassic Park, Lego Avengers, and MK8 DLC #2 on Wii U. I still had some credit leftover, so I redeemed the BoxBoy MyNintendo discount to get it for an extra $2.

 
Still on the fence about Return to Dreamland, Tri Force Heroes, and Hyrule Warriors Legends.

I keep hearing that Legends is better than the Wii U release, but I'm honestly having a hard time wrapping my head around that point of view, given the lower graphical fidelity and lack of co-op.

 
People say it's better because a) it's portable and b) there is a lot more content and it's more evenly spaced out. Legend mode has not one but two additional stories and Adventure Mode is much beefier. Whereas the Wii U version had you completing the DLC maps just because, the 3DS version ties in costumes and weapons into it. The base Adventure Map only has Level 1 weapons on it. Level 2 weapons are on the Wind Waker Map, with Level 3 weapons on the Master Quest Map. The Termina and Twilight Maps have Level 4 weapons, while each DLC map includes even more Level 4 weapons. And you have to unlock every weapon and costume. They're not given to you like in the Wii U version.

The fairies are also a great addition. Just get enough magic and you can blow away hundreds of enemies in one shot. You can also give them bonus effects that make the harder Adventure Map challenges much easier (such as damage prevention or faster running). Finally, the ability to switch characters on the fly is excellent for getting certain weapons and heart pieces without actually having to play as that character.

That all makes good sense! I appreciate the info. Lack of co-op is still a bummer, but maybe I'll give it a go after all.

And I probably will pick up Tri-Force Heroes, if only so that I have something fun to co-op the next time I'm in the room with some 3DS-owning friends. (Bless you, Download Play).

 
Not sure how many people were interested, but the Wii U version of Stardew Valley has officially been cancelled and will  be on the Switch instead.

Stardew Valley will not be coming to the Wii U, however. Looking at Wii U and the current gaming landscape, we made the difficult choice to shift our development efforts to creating a version for Nintendo Switch. I am really looking forward to the Switch, and I believe that the Switch’s unique capabilities could create some exciting opportunities for Stardew Valley. I do want to emphasize that I am absolutely committed to seeing Stardew Valley on Nintendo platforms, and I really do appreciate your support and understanding in this.

It will probably go down as the best game to ever come out on the 3ds.

I've been a big fan of fire emblem since the gba days and I bought a 3ds when awakening was first announced so I'm a little biased.

Definitely see if you like the gameplay from the demo first.

Imo better game than Fire Emblem Fates on account of not having a butchered localization and dumb plot and protagonist. Even though Fates has improved gameplay.

 
I kind of like it because its different, and the visuals are very cool. Is $20 digital a good price. Just got a 3ds and cant tell good deals from just o.k. Deals like on psn

It's funny, I prefer fates even though I completely agree with you that the plot is stupid. Even so, the game play really is better. Awakening is still good, unless you play on Lunatic+. I hated how RNG based it was because of enemy skills. Fates lunatic can RNG screw you on level ups, but otherwise it's pretty fair.

 
I'm sorry, but the best 3ds game is Super Mario 3d land, because when it came out it was such an amazing and original take on Mario, but that's my opinion

Nintendo changed some settings for Nintendo Accounts allowing User IDs and the ability to create up to 5 child accounts (sorry Catholics). They also updated the My Nintendo website with a new look and the same crappy rewards.

In other Nintendo news, the best 3DS game is either Mario 3D Land or Luigi's Mansion.

The older ones. This newer one isn't for some reason. (EDIT: added the ONE exception which is that camera minigame.. of which I've only FOUND one spot)

And hold up, how can anyone talk about a greatest game ever without including Elite Beat Agents?!??!?!

But if we're talking only 3DS then I would go with Animal Crossing NL as well.
