Do VC games ever go on sale? I was looking at picking some up so I could get the coins for the Rhythm Heaven Megamix discount (via My Nintendo) before it expires.

Since they never go on sale (and I'll buy them eventually anyways), I plan on buying Picross e games to get the remaining gold coins needed to pick up the Rhythm Heaven Megamix discount.

I'd be curious to see what all the hub bub is about with Monster Hunter Generations because I sell it on sale all the time and by all accounts it's a great game but I just don't see myself finding the time for 100 hour+ experiences any more. I MAKE the time for Breath of The Wild, but I tell ya. These days it's a struggle.  Feels like there was one new game worth playing every six months when I was little and I had time to burn. These days it's like an unending hurricane of amazing games released every single month!

If you want to check out the Splatoon 2 Testfire that starts on 3/24, you can download it early from the Switch eShop to get that out of the way beforehand.

Also, it looks like the three Tomorrow Corporation games released yesterday (Human Resource Machine, Little Inferno, and World of Goo) only support the Joy Cons as makeshift Wii Remotes, as far as non-touch controls are concerned. No regular button control or Pro Controller support at the moment.

I'd be curious to see what all the hub bub is about with Monster Hunter Generations because I sell it on sale all the time and by all accounts it's a great game but I just don't see myself finding the time for 100 hour+ experiences any more. I MAKE the time for Breath of The Wild, but I tell ya. These days it's a struggle. Feels like there was one new game worth playing every six months when I was little and I had time to burn. These days it's like an unending hurricane of amazing games released every single month!

Really? Like what? I feel just the opposite: that when I was a kid, there was a lot I wanted to play, and had time to play. Now, I still buy a lot of games, but I rarely want to play them, and definitely don't have time for them.

I'm a lefty. I played though the game right handed thoough while cradling the 3ds with my left hand. Was it comfortable? No. Was I still better than most people at the multiplayer mode? Yes.

Rune Factory 4 for sure, great game right there. I've been looking at Unchanged Blades and opinions seem very mixed. Very grindy and quite hard regardless by all accounts.

Wasn't any more grindy than any other DRPG. About average DRPG difficulty (easier than Etrian Odyssey and Demon's Souls). A lot of the complaints I recall were from a relationship people didn't like.

Edit: Also, I played it on PSP, not 3DS. There might be issues there too that I don't recall, like lower res art.

Picked up a Switch yesterday and set it up today so my oldest son and his friend could participate in the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire happening in about 30min.  I really like the way they are doing multiple accounts on the Switch.  I wish the Vita & PSTV had this!  The UI is really well done... though I don't have enough on it to see how it copes with a lot of icons yet.

Anyway, I'll give the evening time slot a chance for Splatoon 2.  I'm not a fan or hater of the game, so really this will be the first time I invest much of any time in with the series.  Most of this weekend though I'm playing Zelda!

After reading your post I called my son and he said that he was able to get on at 1:59 (CST) and him and his friend took turns playing for about a half hour or so. He said they had no issues but just that it was kind of a random thing where you pick a weapon and then are just dropped into a match. I'll give it a try tonight when round 2 starts.

I think maybe, as you suggest, they capped the total number. That would make sense anyway with it being a testfire event. I wouldn't be shocked if they do cap it but ramp up the cap with each test. I'm definitely going to try and start a couple minutes early for the event tonight.

Yeah, it honestly ran more smoothly than Splatoon usually does (or at least does lately). I had a blast. New weapons and levels are great, and the new music is damn awesome. Gonna try and catch each play session this weekend.
