So I just want to say that I bought that stupid tennis in the face game and it is awesome. I’ve almost cleared the whole game with all crowns over the course of just a few days. It’s addicting.

On other platforms, if you wait a long time you could actually get a good discount (%). I’m getting the impression that on Nintendo platforms, I should just be happy if we get 25% off. Is that correct? If so it would help me re calibrate my mindset for switch deals.
Depends on the company but yeah. First party you won’t really ever see below 33% off even during major sales. Multiplatform games are almost always higher as well though some publishers are better than others. Everywhere else I’m pretty firm 70% off to buy but Nintendo in general it’s more around 30% off I’ll consider it. Hopefully third parties at least will get more competitive over time.

I bought Tennis in the Face a long time ago for Sony crossbuy. Didn't really start playing it until recently, and I'm hooked.

If anybody is on the fence, it really is a solid title.

The switch port of dark souls remastered has been delayed to the summer.

Darn. I was hoping to use the home button as a way to kind of pause the game :)

Also makes me a bit worried about trying the game on switch

Has anyone got a chance to download don't starve on the switch yet?
Yes I have. Played about an hour. So far so good, but I have enabled all of the DLC. Some dedicated folks on Klei's forums have been howling about it being littered with bugs if you play the vanilla game. Can't say I've tested that (or that I would notice some of them they list). For their part, it sounds like Klei is engaged in fixes along with the third party that handled the port.

Skee-Ball for $19.99 seems at least $14.99 too much. BAFL looks intriguing - always loved me some Super Off Road.  May pick that guy up.

The bit.ly link in the Disgaea 1 Complete tweet above has links to amazon for the standard version (and nisa for the $100 le).  I went ahead and added it to my wishlist since there's no prime discount posted yet.  I'm glad they are offering a physical version.  I just hope the entire game is on the cart.

Did I read that correctly that Party Trivia is 2 players only? That has to be a typo.
When you look at the screen shots, it appears to only have one or two players on the selection screen. It looks like each player or team select an answer, so that could be a bad concept for a game like this. Who knows if they can patch it with an option for more players.

Anyone played DragonFangZ? I like a mystery dungeon style game, but there are scant reviews online. I can deal with a crappy localization.

I canceled my pre-order of Darkest Dungeon physical because I can't stomach spending $40 on any game, even though I've been waiting to play for a long time. But even at $21 after 15% off, I'm still hesitant. I'm just too damn cheap, plus the massive backlog.

Best Buy strikes again. 1 of 3 Labo items arriving today for release day delivery. I preordered back in January. Last time I tried Best Buy for release day delivery, they got 1 of 6 delivered as committed.

Well, at least I'll get the Labo customization tape today. Like ordering a cheeseburger and getting a plate with only a pickle on it. Come back on Monday for the rest ...

PixelJunk monsters 2 just got me very excited. Even more so that’s it’s on switch and I don’t have to buy a PS4.

My PS3 was basically an expensive PJM machine for its first 6 months of ownership.

Really excited for Pixeljunk monsters 2! I put a lot of time into the first one but sadly I think I’ll get it on ps4 for the trophies. I know I know, I’m not even a trophy focused dude but there’s something about having achievements on a game like this that keeps me playing.

Is Bleed ok for 8 year olds? I don’t mind cartoony violence with aliens (not people). But it’s got a T rating for language. What kind of language are we talking about?

I’m looking for a good co-op game for the switch, so open to other suggestions.

To Nintendo's credit, Labo's packaging and box design are fantastic. I splurged for both but not sure if I'll keep the robot, I want to see if the game is actually decent. The only real disappointment so far is that getting an extra robot for the versus mode is 70 bucks on Nintendo's site. Not doing that.

I would recommend Shovel Knight co-op... if you are ok with your kid dying constantly and draining all your health and gold. It is quite a refreshing challenge.

Please expound on the Labo. You’re the only CAG I know that has it yet,,,please do tell...what highlights can you point out?
Thanks Bot

Anyone know what Bleed or Brawl are about?

PS HAppy 4:20!!

I'm really surprised there aren't reviews from critics posted on Metacritic yet.

The user reviews seem to be trending to the 6 or 7 range for both Labos.

Agreed ^

That’s where you go to NOT buy a game

But the Labo must have a little kinks and getting used to
So I cant imagine a completely perfect launch, especially with people probably accounting for bad reviews (human error in constructing the devices may be?)

Anyway I’d love to hear more about th experience
Looks way funnier and more interactive for kids than VR (which is what i want for a toddler)

Thanks guys

Chariot was ported to the switch. It’s a great co-op game to play with kids.

Moved a bit further in Wind Waker Wii U this morning. The Gamepad still sucks, but I had that first pretty great ah-ha moment of figuring out a puzzle. I can kind of see the hook of Zelda. Prior to this game, I put maybe 8 hours into Twilight Princess and maybe 4 into Ocarina. I'm determined to play a Zelda to completition this time and experience the franchise more fully.

LOL, I know we have discussed Zelda at length here just recently, but I can't recommend the 2D games more strongly. Just like Mario started out 2D, so did Zelda and while I love several of the 3D games, the heart and magic of the franchise started out in a much different way. If you ever make it thru WW, and even like it a little, you may love the earlier games much more.

The "hook" you see in WW, was really one of "N" laziest efforts game wise, and is 10x better in most efforts released before WW. I take nothing away from it's art style, as I would love to see another world revisited in the same style. But as much as I love the look, I can't stand the game as the new medium should have allowed for a bigger experience. In the end, it seems like graphics took a front seat to the adventure and made for a rather nice looking boring game.

One of the interesting things about the Zelda series is how diverse the opinion is amongst the fans. Some love the 2D entries more, some the 3D. Like to me Ocarina of Time is one of my favorites, with Breath of the Wild topping it recently. Yet some think BotW was 'meh' or can only put a few hours into OoT before moving on.

My top three is Wind Waker, Breath of the Wild, and A Link Between Worlds. Don't like Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, or the two NES games. Link to the Past and the various GBC/GBA games are fine, but didn't grab me like the top three did.

The sense of exploration in Wind Waker is top notch and it's only flaw for me is that Nintendo decided to rush development before it was done because they needed more big games out on GameCube as fast as possible.

Yeah, this is my major issue with WW, and when I always see the famous Miyamoto quote, this game comes to mind(A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad). While WW wasn't a terrible game, it was far from what it should have been, due to a rush to market.

I completely agree, but I don't personally have an issue with one over the other, I just happened to have liked the 2D games more over the long run. I actually can't stand motion controls, and SS was an enjoyable title for me, as the controls didn't bring it down and many can't stand the overall game.

That's why I like to see 2D/3D and even 2.5D type games, as anything can be good. My comments about the 2D games weren't to show how much better they are, but how not liking the 3D efforts could still produce a fan with the 2D ones. Then of course, Zelda just might not be his cup of tea(2D or 3D), and not playing any in the series is a for real option.

WW for me wasn't bad because it was 3D(actually that was a saving grace), it was bad due to being a rush job(a very padded game), and it showed throughout my playtime.

This is where we disagree since I don't think it makes it a terrible game. While it could use more content, the core of it is far beyond almost every other Zelda game. Breath of the Wild is the only game that capitalizes on that core concept, but I wish it had the same style and setting of Wind Waker.

Yeah, not "bad" in a traditional sense, but for a company that prides themselves on not releasing a game until it's ready, WW for me, was not ready. And the whole time I played it, I thought how little was actually done, and how much they just made the game long with "treasure hunting" in a HUGE open sea. I don't consider that great game design, but short cuts which I was charged full price for. So for me, that's about as "bad" as it gets.
