Still waiting for a DLC offline mode for F zero

Not sure we will get DLC as then Nintendo would have to keep the game on the service like Pac-Man 99 for those who purchased DLC content. Same with Tetris 99 as people purchased DLC for that game as well.

This way is they want to pull F-Zero off the service at some point in the future like they did with Mario 35 (that was more of an anniversary thing but was popular) no one is losing money spent on it. Time invested in the game ranking up and unlocking things is another issue.

Mario Vs Donkey Kong dropped to $29.99 used on Gamefly. Probably the cheapest we'll see it. Used = all packaging included and mint. I bought it when it was $34.99, and like all my other used GF purchases, I still got gold coins.

Sold out already. Sucks, could’ve stacked my gamefly coupons to knock it under $20.

Keep the page bookmarked for it. It still has the $29.99 price on used and while it's sold out, I've seen stuff come back in stock within a couple days before. Usually it sells out fairly fast when that happens, but if you check daily you may get a copy that way.

When Luigi’s Mansion 2 drops to $29.99, then I’ll be in business.

I'll probably bite at the typical first major drop of $34.99 on GF. I keep an eye on GF switch price drops every weekday (and sometimes on the weekend), so when it happens... I'll make note of it here.

On a somewhat unrelated note…does anyone have any recommendations for NES, SNES, N64, etc. cartridge holders/storage?

I use gnedby shelves from ikea as they are not very deep, I think they were meant for CD storage. I think they ended up discontinuing them, though

I know DK Tropical Freeze gets a lot of praise but heard it's difficult near the endgame. I'm no stranger to hard games but if it's frustrating I'll probably quit playing it. I played Cuphead and it's DLC and that was brutal so is Tropical Freeze worse than that?

Not even close. I didn't really think TF was that difficult. Challenging sure but nothing even close to the frustration of Cuphead (awesome game but damn lol).

Also you can choose Funky mode which gives an extra heart and makes things a little easier. Funky is basically easy mod but you don't have to use him.

Tried to do a price match for Super Mario Maker 2 with Walmart (which has it for $29.99) on Dell to use my AWA rewards but was declined and told the manufacturer part number doesn’t match (which is a blatant lie, but whatever). Kinda doubted they'd actually do it but figured it was worth the attempt.

They haven't price matched correctly for like a year. I've tried multiple reps and they always come up with a reason not to. They tell me, "That item is on sale and we don't match sale prices". But if both websites have the item at retail price why would anyone ask for a price match? 🤦‍♀️

I opted to just build shelving units from 6"x1" pine (usually 4' wide is ideal to keep from the shelves bowing under the weight of games) and use some 2.5" drywall screws throught he sides into each shelf to assemble. I space the shelves based on the height of the content I'm storing. Nicely when boxed, I think 10" is pretty safe for most media including saturn boxes with enough space to put a finger in there to pull a game off the shelf.

Beyond this, I've bought some multimedia cabinets in the past from walmart that stack and look nice with adjustable shelves and doors that close. I still use them in spaces where I want some media but don't want to see it all.

Thanks! I just grabbed one.

That's a good use of cube shelving units. I think I'd swap them left to right as the newer tv's legs will bridge that gap without needing the cardboard under the classic tube. Also I'm kind of curious about your cable management and where all the controllers are (another cube unit with some storage boxes?).

Also, Nice multi arcade cab and overall use of space.

I bought two of the 3x3 cube units at walmart and a set of short 6" legs off of amazon... installed the legs on one unit so the whole thing could slide back flush with the wall without the baseboards and quarter round getting in the way and then stacked the other 3x3 on top to make a nice massive storage/display tower in one of my kids rooms. There's a lot of versatility with those things and a little imagination.

Takeaway from Microsoft and Sony raising subscription rates: lock in the cheap online subscriptions now. Nintendo will be even more of an outlier as the cheapest service. Max it out to 3 years. 😊

you clicked the picture, and then became unexpectedly disappointed.
I wouldn't say disappointed. I'm not really sure how else to describe bothered though.

Neat. I thought about doing that but it would be partially in front of the upper shelf. So i put my 3x3 on top of a tv stand instead which is where i keep all the memory cards and other peripheral. and then the tv is in the built in shelf in the wall above it.

I put the one in backwards >-> but I'm too lazy to turn it back around.

Still a work in progress. Think I’m going to keep one controller displayed with each unit and everything else in the closet. Can be easily retrieved when needed.

Keeping the tube bridging the two units for the extra strength of the middle. It is a monster.

Added a backing to the open backed cubes to hide all the cables.

Picked up an NES today from a local guy that does restorations. Have a GameCube on the way.

Anyone think the Zelda Switch Lite Hyrule Edition will be back in stock or was that it ?

Think Gamestop will get any of these systems?

It will be in stock, it has not been sold at any US retailers yet. I would imagine Gamestop will be a store that will have some.
