Do you think it would be better to wait to see if that 1TB goes on sale or just grab this 512gb today while it's on sale?

I haven't seen the 1TB go on sale in the past month I've been tracking, but this is the 2nd time I've seen the 512gb on sale. Best Buy hasn't had any comparable prices lately.

I personally would wait and see. But I was using a 400gb card before that I had filled up so 512gb wouldn't have been much of an upgrade for me. The idea of not having to worry about storage was worth it. If I ever fill up the 1tb then I have a problem haha.

Thanks, that was my reasoning too (though I'd be going from 128gb). I wasn't entirely sure about the difference between U1 vs. U3 and if it would be worth less storage for not waiting on the 1TB.

It's like 50/50. I get new release stuff physical but over time when the digital stuff goes on sale (like the GameStop digital sale right now) I will convert to digital.
Ok cool. I'm thinking of doing the same. My cart slot is acting funny. Sometimes it wont read games. Plus just the convenience of not swapping carts is ideal for the nature of the platform imo. I need to upgrade my 128gb card I got at launch though. Lol!

I just got my Switch about two weeks ago. I forgot the games don't have to be fully installed from the physical media unlike PS4; I'll have to keep that in mind when choosing physical or digital.

Pot meet Kettle. :whistle2:
Ah must be the residual salt for saying that people need to stop being underachieving scumbags who scalp games to doctors on ebay for negligible profits. Saying that reseller scumbags need adult jobs and saying that adults can't play Mario and Kirby games are fundamentally unequivocal. But I guess you wouldn't understand that.

My girlfriend is a PlatinumGames fan, so I ended up buying Astral Chain. You CAN switch from the atrocious English dubbing to the original Japanese dialog--which may be just as atrocious for someone fluent in Japanese, who knows--but only after the first chapter. Gameplay is purportedly engaging from the reviews, despite the weeb motif. Still $26.99 digitally for anyone who wastes their time netting a few bunny bux flipping games to Gamestop like this assclown.

Long diatribe about nothing
Huh? I just found it funny that you tried to call someone else out on acting like an adult. You shouldn't talk period. Yet here you are yelling, crying & name calling about residual salt, doctors & ebay scaplers. In a failed attempt to deflect on the fact that you got called out on your hypocritical post. You're just as insecure as the guy that thinks adults cant like Kirby & Mario. Pot meet Kettle. :whistle2:

Be aware that a lot of 3rd party games have large mandatory downloads even if you have the cart. They warn you on the label.

are the eShop sales going on now not the big one? More sales expected on actual Black Friday?
There are just random stuff that goes on sale every day of the week with big publishers mixed in there. They have a Black Friday section of the deals page right now that just goes to the general BF page for mostly retail stuff, so there's not much at the moment. Don't expect Nintendo to match their retail sales on the eShop.

So far no NA sales... yet. I have a feeling that the big EU sale (plus more) will trickle over to NA this week Thursday at the latest and possibly more on Cyber Monday,

Thanks for the heads up on the 512gb Samsung being on sale! Passed on it a few days ago at full price but just purchased since it’s on sale!

Wow the digital codes are also on sale. Makes me think Nintendo might have these or others on sale on the eshop this Black Friday.

Yeah, these are probably the bulk of the titles they’ll have on sale, but they will most likely be discounted to just $39.99 on the eShop proper.

FYI - Nintendo Store has free shipping on order over $20. Good way to get free shipping on My Nintendo rewards stuff. I ordered the popular SNES ornament and a refurb 3DS adapter.

Xenoblade digital $27. 🤔

I already got bravely default 2 for 15 during the $30 sale on amazon combined with the 2x 15$ off coupon promo for using their app.  So I don't consider this much of a deal in comparison.

When do they usually have the sale on the actual eShop? I want a couple games but I'd rather use my eShop balance to pay for them
Sometime this week, maybe? Last year looks like it started the Monday before Thanksgiving. This year the BF campaign site doesn’t even mention eShop sales.

Hoping for this as well, especially since adding another 300 coins times the 8 digital games I grabbed from GameStop for another $24 added to my eshop balance.

Now to wait and flip back to GameStop 5 of 8 physical copies I own that I grabbed digitally when there is a very good trade in deal.

Wondering if GameStop may add Link’s Awakening and Mario Maker 2 to the $27 price as that would be all 10 games Nintendo announced would be on sale during Black Friday for $40.

Those two currently $40 with everyone else.

I'd jump all over links awakening digital at that price
Same here.

I have gotten into a digital kick since I got the new OLED model since I am playing more in hand held mode as the screen is gorgeous. Nice and easy to just click on the game as it is there.

That 15 was a 15 off coupon it never was 15 gc that you actually had. And you could only use the coupon on purchases over 25 and only until a certain date iirc.

It's just a little silly to say that it's not a deal. It's actually a better deal than when you bought it, you just don't have "found money" this time around. And the coupon could be applied to pre orders and later cancelled and applied to anything ($25+) with no expiration. Did it the other day and applied it to horizon forbidden west pre order which wasn't available at the time.

I got $6 eshop points I’m trying to use on a good first party..:been really enjoying my oled after not owning a switch for about a year. Pokémon n halo has been a great time

I never said it's not a deal. I said that I don't consider it much of a deal in comparison as getting the game for 15 vs paying more for it now.

It's a coupon. You even say it's a coupon in the very next sentence. So I read your comment more as twisting to put a negative spin on things.

As for the coupon itself still being usable that was definitely a cool find. Kinda dumb that they even had the expiration in the first place. Though people didn't know the preorders could be cancelled after the coupons used and the expiration date had passed and it could be applied to something else at the time. By the time it was common knowledge bravely default 2 and other stuff people ordered had already shipped for most of the people that ordered it.

As someone who has never played a Paper Mario game, should I give Origami King a try? Just trying to check out some different games and the $27 price tag doesn’t hurt either, lol.

As someone who had never played a Paper Mario game before Origami King, I enjoyed it. The story and characters were great and it looks fantastic. The novelty of the combat wore off pretty quickly though, and other than boss battles it became kind of tedious. They seem to realize that though because there is less combat in the back half of the game and they give you some tools to speed through it.

Scooped up the digital codes for Xeno 1 and Link's Awakening. Is Astral Chain worth $30?
I got Astral Chain on discount around launch and I enjoyed it a fair bit. For $30 it's very much worth it. If you enjoy Platinum Game's style then you'll enjoy it. If not it's a bit harder to recommend.

I've enjoyed most of the other Paper Mario games. This one follows suit with great writing. The battle system is annoying, though, as you don't gain experience from doing it--it's more a game of avoiding battles at all costs so as to not waste time. That said, I'd recommend it for the price!
