Are these really that scarce? Since release I've seen them on around 15 different occasions. Now granted it's been only like one or two systems at a time. I think the most I've seen at a single location as been 4 once. Still it's not like I have to sell a kidney to a guy on craigslist if I wanted to pick up one, unlike those nes classics.
Not at all. Many people just expect things to be handed to them on a silver platter.

"The customer is always right" people from the 90s have simply turned into the "I shouldn't have to go looking for things in stores" people of today.

Went to Walmart today and walked out with a Neon Switch , they had 7 Switch systems left in Lemon Grove, California. My friend who works at another Walmart sent a picture of them having some that just came in, must have just restocked.

Remind me why you still post in this thread when you have zero interest in one? You also have the MOST posts in this thread.

Telling.
You are a fuck tard of the highest order, you know that right?

This is the NS stock/inventory thread correct? So if I'm actually posting information that may actually help someone find a unit, there's an issue? Which has pretty much been my only recent post. Posting information on bundles, or asking legit questions about inventory.

I agree, this is very telling, as I'm helping a fellow CAG find a device they want, yet the same old butt hurt clowns who don't care for my opinions on "N" continue to start shit. As I've stated before, give me shit, and you'll get it right back, so if you want me to clutter this thread, yet again, responded to your obvious "issues", I'm more than up to the task.

Although I may or may not get to respond much, as I'm rather busy this week, but I will respond when I have the time.

It really depends on where you are whether you can get a switch easily or not. Bigger cities seem to get restocked quite often. I've only seen 2 switches on store shelves where I live since it's been released. I really should have grabbed one then but had bills to pay.

Looks like GameStop has taken down the pre-order pages for it's $400 bundles. I guess enough people thought they were a decent deal and bit on them (me included)

Until you can move saves between Switches, I won't be getting a second one for my household. Things are too limited currently.
I actually like the Switch more than I had anticipated but there are some things that may never come to fruition with this console because Nintendo just doesn't quite get it in regards to certain key functionalities.

This thing doesn't even support apps like Netflix and Hulu nor does it have an internet browser yet.

And don't even get me started on the Virtual Console. That should be a licence to print money but Nintendo has botched it twice and have yet to launch it on the Switch.

The last generation's OSes all came in hot. That's just life now. I expect that by the end of the year, the Switch OS feature set will be respectable. It's just going to take a few big updates to get there, and we're not there yet. Once we are, that'll change the equation though, and I'll be eager to have a second one in the house.

The worst thing about the Switch is Nintendo actually plans to start charging for the garbage online. There's no way I'm paying for that. I can't play 4 or 5 Mario Kart races in a row without getting disconnected.

I haven't had a disconnect yet nor do I get a poor wifi signal across my house. Maybe your router? I agree about the online service though, should be free but none of the others are doing that.

I ordered a bundle from GameStop earlier, I'll just have to see if I decide to keep it as a second system.

I don't think its a problem on my end because I never have any issues while gaming online on my PS4 or PC. These are the same kinds of random disconnects I experienced on the Wii and Wii U.

I find it somewhat odd that when this thing first came out, I saw it everywhere and since those first couple weeks I've seen really none (not that I'm looking mind you). Seems to me they're just creating an artificial drought to raise demand again. You're not fooling anyone Nintendo. Going to be harder to justify your pricepoint at E3 when competitor price drops are announced. . .

I haven't played much online but I played a few hour long session with MK and had no issues with a 5G connection. I saw some teleporting and few things that indicated connection quality wasn't being scrutinized that heavily but that's it.

I think some of the Switches have got to have faulty wifi components because mine has never had an issue but a friend of mine has brought their Switch to my house and when it was 2 feet from me the other Switch kept dropping.

I never have a problem finding a Switch, seen 2 at a Walmart today in the afternoon (at least one was a neon, not sure what the other was).

The Wi-Fi issue was indeed an issue early on, as many reported issues along the same lines as the left joy-con, and the screen scratching issue as well. How wide spread, or what causes the issue, is not known, at least that I have seen.

The DS had a connection issue that wasn't hardware related, but on the software side, as you had to change router settings, but in the end, the janky Wi-Fi was fixable. I also don't know if a similar work around has been found for the NS, as I haven't seen much discussion on this issue since the first month, but it was for sure a documented problem for many. So it may be on the hardware side, or it could be software, or a combination of the two.

Is it excessive of me to want a second switch in my household? We play ours a ton but I wouldn't mind a second one for multiplayer
I have actually seen a lo of people buy multiple switches. I really think this is a brilliant system on Nintendo's part, because of it's duel use,one person leaving the house might want to take the Switch with them, while another wants to play it at home.

Now only if you could transfer save files.

To those that got in on the $400 bundles from GameStop, they're starting to be shipped out ahead of they're 6/9 date.

Maybe where you live but where I live they had been sold out immediately, then every restock they last about 3-5 days before being gone. Nintendo is printing money with these things! Every time I don't want one they're available and when I really want one they're sold out!!

My Switch has turned into my wife's Puyo Puyo machine which is both very satisfying and highly annoying as I want to finish BoTW. Be warned.

I saw a Craigslist posting for a Switch, BoTW, and a pro controller the other day for $400.

Haha at least no luck west of Atlanta, GA. Hit some Targets, Best Buy and Walmart.
Lithia Springs Walmart & Douglasville Best Buy have both restocked at least 4 times each since launch. I post here every time they do. My buddy works the trucks at BB & let's me know when they come in. The last Wal -Mart restock lasted 4 days. I'm going to pick up a few groceries today & if I see any i'll report as usual.

Now all we need is a Ferrari Racer gif of the shoe throw scene from Austin Powers and the "who throws a Switch, honestly?" subtitles.

I wonder if some of this is just Hori weirdness for Splatoon 2 because they think people want a headset, and the ACTUAL plan is that the cellphone/app is going to be the actual voice chat device.

As a mobile product, I could see that somewhat making sense- especially if more smartphones and carrier push a tethering feature, in which case you have the Switch tethered to the phone, attached by the headphone jack, and using the phone to deal with all of the voice channels and the phone itself working as a speakerphone.

(It's still a weird choice, but it does save Nintendo from having to add hardware to the system (like a microphone), and piggybacks on to existing tech in the smartphone and app.)

It's still a weird, awkward way of handling it all, and hopefully there's a smarter solution that involves the dock for people playing at home.

So how tf would you use voice chat, while playing in console mode?
12ft aux cord? ...greeaatttt

How about Bluetooth through the f@#king phone.

From everything I've read, this seems to be the case. But holy shit do they make you jump through some hoops to use a headset.

And to those interested, GameStop has bundles up again. There's 3 different ones starting at $400 and 2 for $470.
