Decided to pick one of the switches up from Amazon earlier today. Surprised 1 day shipping was only $8, feel like I've seen it cost more for smaller items.

I had a Wii U that I sold a few months before the switch came out, which I kind of regret. I only plan on getting Zelda right now, maybe puyo puyo tetris. I had all the hits on the Wii U and it still went untouched for months.

I'll say it one last time March 3rd till March 31st. That's 28 days. Not even a full 4 weeks, not a full month.
There is no and probably never will be a direct exact down to each unit day by day comparison between sales figures from Nin to Sony, just estimates.

You're right this isn't gamefaqs so you should take your antics there. You were already proven wrong and you still can't accept it. You did the same thing in the Switch preorder thread. Gamefaqs is the perfect place for your type.

The Switch figures show 28 days worth of sale. They raised the point that 6 week of Sales PS4 Sold more units.

I said was that 6 weeks does not mean a month. So to fit their narrative they try and claim that the week of Feb 26 thru March 3rd counts as a full week of sales. (The Switch was released on the 3rd which was a friday, meaning 5 days of that week, no units were sold)

And I refuted that point. No fights started on my end, just clarifying their claims.

I even mentioned it on another thread, how the sales figures would make some users here very salty :D/

Btw when bringing up 6 weeks of ps4 sales that includes the week of Nov 10th 2013 to Nov 16th 2013.

The ps4 launched Nov 15th 2013.

Again, this is how the NPD defines a week of sales. Not sure why it's hard for you to understand that.

I really hope you aren't defining me as a "switch hater" when I'm doing no such thing.

Back on topic of getting a switch at msrp....

Ordered one from amazon earlier today. Had about 30 in credit (thanks amazon credit card!). I was in no rush to get one but it wouldn't arrive until Monday or Tuesday. F that noise, even though I didn't need one.

Called the second closest target to me. Had 3 systems there, said he'd hold one for me (thanks istocknow!), swung over to target, bought the last one, canceled the amazon order. Red card discount. Now at least I can play it this weekend for a bit.

Was at Walmart today where they had 9 Switches on brickseek and 9 in store and guess what was out early? Mario Kart 8 Deluxe...

Which I'm only just now realizing when people were writing MK 8 on here it wasn't Mortal Kombat... because that didn't make any sense why Mortal Kombat was even being released on the Switch let alone talked about..

Works suprisingly well for old technology. Never fails me. I encourage all dad's to try it.
 
Nintendo hasn't done "large scale conferences" at E3 in years, I'm pretty sure the last time they did one they were heckled and booed. Nintendo knows who their audience is and how to reach them, and that audience is not the people who pay attention to E3.

Interesting read from a journalist that loves their Switch. Pretty much echoes the frustration of a console that differs from the norm and why it will never capture market share the way home consoles have this generation.

The lack of 3rd party support for the Switch is going to be it's ultimate downfall, just like it was for the Wii U. I'd love to have a new, high quality handheld to play games, but I couldn't care less about the first party Nintendo games. The Switch unfortunately isn't the new handheld console that most people wanted; unless 3rd party developers get on board, there's no way it can succeed.
 
It's more than just the lack of third party games, it's theack of third party exclusives. If a game is available on the Ps4 and the Switch, why would anyone buy the Switch version unless portability really means that much to you?

Well I mean besides the Wii that caught lightning in a bottle Nintendo home consoles have sold worse and worse every gen since the snes so whatever point you're trying to make isn't a great one.

Yeah, I agree^

And where they have always had 3rd party support, is in their handheld sector, and the NS isn't really what the past portable systems have been. Yes, it's a hybrid(as they say), but it is being promoted mostly as a console, and the price alone puts it in that category by default.

So while I do see the NS doing better than the Wii U due to being in part a handheld, I don't see it doing their handheld numbers unless a much cheaper system is offered, with much cheaper game cost. I would say this is more than apparent to them as well, due to the announcement of the new 2DS model. They always need cheap handhelds, that meet that demographic, and while I'm sure some kids will get an NS, it's not going to replace their current kid/child market for awhile, if ever as it's just to expensive.

Yay finally got a switch. Went to bestbuy to pick up my lala land bluray steelbook and found out they had switches in stock. Had to pull the trigger. Hehe!

On topic best buy in NJ had a ton along with 2 targets I went to.
