Thanks. I logged into istocknow and signed up for notifications.  I chose some online stores as well as some local stores, but I haven't received anything yet.  It says I can click Manage Notifications to see what I set up, but I don't see a Manage Notifications button anywhere on the site.  And when I go back to the map and click on Notify, the same stores I previously checked are unchecked so I don't know if they even saved properly, even though I clicked the Save button afterwards.

Damn!  Just got an email from istocknow that a local Walmart had one in stock so I called the store and they said they don't have any.  Got my hopes up for nothing.

Called a couple of Gamestops and they told me the only way to get a Switch is to preorder a bundle with them which costs $475.

Called a couple of Target stores.  One girl was completely clueless and didn't even know how to phrase sentences using more than one word.  Another store told me that the only way to find out when more are in stock is to check the Target web site which is weird because as far as I can tell, the Target web site doesn't have the consoles listed.

Also tried calling Best Buy and they said they do not provide inventory over the phone.

Does anyone know with the current GameStop bundles if the extras from the bundle can be returned in store? So this latest bundle includes Zelda BOTW, BOTW Expansion, Mario Kart 8, 2 wheels, and Has Been heroes?

My local GS said that you cannot return the extras from the bundle.

YMMV but I went instore to order and the guy told me he would accept the wheels return. He would have accept the Has been Heroes as well but it's digital so no. His coworker tried pushing the bundles worth over $600. Lol.

It says on the website that parts of a bundle can't be returned, so unless you get an employee that really doesn't care, you'll probably be stuck with everything.

What does it mean when Brickseek says Limited Stock, but shows a quantity of zero?

Also, has anyone successfully been able to get a store such as Walmart to hold one for them if they have some in stock?
I've noticed that my local Walmart will have them "instock" but theyre actually for instore pickup only. I think they stay in the system until that person grabs it.

I want to get a Switch but at the same time I would like some feedback from those who have played it, if you don't mind. Apart from BoTW, are there any other games that will be fun playing by yourself for long periods of time? MK8 is fun and I'd play that but usually the problem I have with Nintendo is that if you don't have others to enjoy it with.. seems to fizzle out fast.

Maybe that's just me though.

I'm sure it varies from store to store and probably even with the employees but I've never had a problem returning extras from bundles as long as I brought in the packing list

Do you enjoy roguelike? There's Binding of Isaac that is pretty good compare to other console's releases - of course, the PC one will always be king. Works quite well while you're on the road.

Not super into them but I will play them and that's the thing. I like what all the switch can do. I see it lasting longer than the Wii and Wii U but I just hope more titles come along that keep single players interested for a long time.

If you enjoyed Neo Geo games they are good on the Switch and one player. Shovel Knight and Mighty Gunvolt Burst are also good single player experiences. I think we all have Minecraft on multiple systems but people like it on the Switch.

It's still really early into its life. Pretty sure its library will expand tremendously over time, now that almost everyone could see that it doesn't flop like the Wii U. Even then, the Wii U still has quite a considerable library.

My advice would be to try calling again in the morning because maybe they haven't put it out yet or the employees could be hoarding them. I just kept checking the site every day until I seen a local Target with some in stock and I went at opening and was able to get a Neon.

Can you do me a favor and post a link to the console listings on Target's web site? I've tried searching, and I've also tried going in by category, but I can't find them.

Not to be an ass but I googled "Target Nintendo Switch" and the Gray joy-con version is literally the first result that pops up. Shouldn't be too difficult to find the neon one that way either.

Not to be an ass, but if you click on the neon search result, all you get is a big error message saying "product not available".

The brickseek target search has been like that for a week or so now. I'm not sure why it shows "the product is is not available in your area" message instead of stores with 0 quantity. I'm curious if the DCPI has changed

Target chat reps are too funny.

I told them I was trying to find the Nintendo Switch console (neon model) on their web site, but could not locate it.

After waiting a couple of minutes, they came back asking if it was a carrying case.  I told them no, it's a console and it's $299.99.

After waiting a few more minutes, they sent me a link to the 3DS XL.  I told them that's not it, that's the 3DS XL and I'm looking for the Switch.

After a long delay, they sent me a link to a gray bundle for $499.99, at which point I gave up.

I thanked them and then gave them a bunch of zero scores in the post-chat survey.

Walmart.com with instore pickup using one of those stock tracker sites (brickseek I think?) has been my best bet so far. Ive gotten a total 3 of the 5 I've found for friends/myself through them. The other two I got from Amazon

I got excited for a moment.  Just went to Walmart.com and searched for Nintendo Switch.  The neon console came up at a price of $299, so I clicked on it and it takes me to a bundle that requires you to buy one game and one accessory with it.  Bastards!

Use the app! Its available right now!

Gah!

Got an email alert from istocknow that Walmart.com had the neon console in stock.  I opened the email and clicked the link right away (within 15 seconds of receiving the email) and it said out of stock.

Could it have possibly sold out that quickly?  I think istocknow may be sending me emails on a delay.

This is so dumb.  I've only been trying to find one for a couple of days and it's already driving me nuts.  How can people keep doing this shit until they actually find one?

The GameStop bundle I ordered on Monday has already shipped and will be delivered tomorrow. I was not expecting this to ship until tomorrow and not get it for at least a week.

That's really not a bad bundle, though. You'd have to pick up a game anyway, and there are cheap accessories or extra controllers.

The last couple times I've gone shopping, I told myself if I saw a Switch, I could get it as a birthday present for myself.

And I've yet to see one in the wild.

My money is sadly safe.

yea emails tend to be the last alert I get. text is pretty good but browser alerts are the quickest.
