If money is not an issue keep both. Some games are better with joy cons and others the pro controller. It's preference and the games you are playing. Mario Kart and Arms joy cons. Street Fighter, Zelda, and fighters I use pro controller.

Thanks will probably just hang onto both them. Now to find a good deal on Zelda.
 
yeah, I'd like to get some idea of how many switches some Best Buys are getting, so can decide if it's worth my time or not to try after work

The reviews of the app are pretty bad. Nintendo shit the bed with this one.

Good to see they at least are coming through with their promise to up production.

 
There is still not readily available stock on this 4 months later? Nintendo must have a terrible manufacturing process.

They must be making them by hand lol

Supposedly there is a shortage of one component chip or something that a lot of other tech companies including Apple use and are fighting over.
 
I refreshed that Best Buy page all morning, since 7am.

Fell asleep on the couch and 20 mins later I miss out. PISSED. I even put the sound on the notifications thinking it would wake me.

It just depends on the area. I've seen several in all stores around me (target best buy Wal-Mart) in some cases they sit there for a few days.

Twice now in my area when gamestop got them in store they had them in stock for a few days
 
Went to best buy and they had them in stock. I keep finding switches if I actually tried but have no interest until mario odessey comes out

Yup. Call Target within an hour of opening and ask for electronics then ask about a Switch. Seems like Target gets em in at least once per week if not twice. I'm about to return my grey joy-con one in hopes of getting a neon fun one.

Actual plot twist, they had like twenty at least in stock and I could get there now and still get one but at least I have peace of mind and video games to play.

Considerably less neons than grays. Glad I got those plastic looking colors. Can't wait for Mario Kart with the crew.
 
Any bay area (~Silicon Valley) CAGs had any luck in GS lately? Might need to pick one (non-bundle) up as gift and I got some GS credit. I never see any in the GS near my house nor the GS near my company.

I live in LA and haven't seen a single Switch in the wild. I did however see a grown-ass man playing a Gameboy Advance SP on the Red Line last week--a system I've not seen in oh...about 12 years or so. 

 
Saw a few at my local BB tonight while returning a couple things. Was there for about half an hour and nobody seemed to care they were in stock lol.

OMW home on the Red line, some jackass kept looking at me weirdly while I was playing my GBA though.

 
I wouldn't call CAGers lazy lol. But the Japanese don't reproduce any less than white Americans and Euros do. It's one of the results of societies that focus on hedonistic materialism. I'm sure most of us on here aren't planning on raising massive broods of children either.
 
Never knew what puyo puyo was but It is a fun local co op game. Decided it would better to start with it before Tetris for my kids and my 4 year olds out scored me a few times. Not sure if accident but they got some huge combo chains going.
 
Any CAGers in eastern MA, I stopped at the Westwood Target to pick up some things and noticed they had 1 neon & 5 grey Switches on display.

Picked up a Switch from Best Buy on Friday when I was picking up my orders from "Black Friday in July" and a couple of the new Amiibos. 

Now I guess it's time to watch for sales on peripherals. I'm thinking I need at least 2 more Joycons, another power cord, the 4-joycon charger and then maybe a Pro Controller for tv time.

There's been discussion in the GS thread about the charger and the aux dock both having the same sku and a used price of $25ish at GS
 
the switch was in stock everywhere i went today, target best buy etc.. maybe they increased production to finally catch up with demand or the demand has died down.. either way ill wait for a bundle during the holiday season...too much backlog :p
