I caved and moved to a white oled. Console is impressive. Noticeably heavier glass compared to the v2 i unloaded. Thankfully there are none of the screen imperfections others have mentioned. I was surprised that i managed to squeeze it into the same generic $5 grip case i used for v2. Though i did have to cut out some of the housing around the game card slot. It still has some drawbacks like blocking the kickstand, but i'll use it and a v1 screen protector for now until a cheap kit for oled is available down the road.

I'm gonna ask the question that needs to be asked. Is anybody else here wondering what fucking retards are selling these consoles on ebay for $450 brand new (including shipping). Ebay fees are like $50, and shipping would be another $10-15. By the end of it, they aren't making any money, just wasting time and effort. And at the same time, they are fucking over the person buying it by making them overpay. Just return the console you fucking asshole, or flip it for a real profit. All this does is destroy value and give money to eBay for free, for no fucking reason. fucking idiots.

[A bunch of profanity]
I agree with what you're saying, but not how you're saying it.

Whenever I see low profit flipping on big ticket items, I assume the buyer purchased the item with store credit and/or an employee discount such that they're converting credit into cash or making more than we think.

Sure, some could just be dummies, too.

Or it is just all of the "lost" packages from FedEx being sold at 100 percent profit to the thief.

A large part of eBay is stolen shit so it stands to reason.

Low “profit” Console shares are prob a combo of:

1) stolen
2) converting credit to cash
3) desperate resellers
4) morons

Put on an amfilm screen protector one not perfect but it was delivered missing 1 of the 3 and missing the cleaning cloth

I did amFilm and it was cloudy in parts on the first day, by the next morning it was totally clear. I'm happy with the result and $10 to not worry about scratches is a deal in my book.

Brother scored a white oled at his local Target this morning soon after it opened. Target page showed limited stock as in-store purchase only. Cashier said they received two, one sold right at opening, and there were already five other people calling for the other.

Will be a Christmas present for his son. He has a lite already but plays so much that being able to play on a tv would be more comfortable.

Was able to snag a white system at GameStop today, as I was leaving another customer came in asking something about switch systems and how many they had, guessing it was a scalper : /.

It’s worth checking weekly, a bunch of GameStops near me have said they’ve been getting shipments in more frequently than they thought (the app/website didn’t say they were in stock where I got mine, might have to call).

Target has been seeming to get them regularly too. I got one there and I’ve checked randomly and often see one in stock in my area

Managed to snag a white system on target.com this morning. They seem to drop a couple systems online randomly throughout the day.

Managed to snag a white oled in Lansing, MI yesterday! They seemed to maybe have a few so if you're looking and in the area, check the one in Delta township near Walmart!

My in-store pick up from Target arrived today, a day late.  From the moment I loaded up Metroid, I knew the screen was a huge upgrade.  Like others have said, it technically doesn't even add an inch, but it seems so much bigger.  I also love the upgraded sound on this.  I had no idea when I purchased my first switch that I would be using it 99% of the time in handheld.  Glad I upgraded here.

On a side note, are sales tracked by serial number?  If I can find one in stock at a local Gamestop, would anything prevent me from purchasing with trade credit and returning to Target with my original receipt?

They are. I had to drive to Buffalo for a funeral and got an OLED there and tried to return the recently purchased box back to target. They scanned the reciept and the bar code and because it didn't match, rejected it. I needed to swap out the inner box with the switch I purchased in order to return it to target.

There's sn recorded in the system settings as well. You'd be screwing with the warranty coverage of not only your own console but also for the person who buys the one you returned.

Well my white Switch from Walmart arrived today as an empty box. Needless to say, some of the pointers I've picked up on this thread will at least help me make it easier to get a refund and hopefully render the console stolen.

So discouraging. First we must battle the bots and thousands or other interested buyers and then hope someone doesn't swipe it en route to us. I am becoming more and more of a fan of just camping out in front of GameStop, Best Buy, etc. if they are known to get them. 5 hours in line beats weeks or months of obsessively refreshing.

They didn't just take the console though, they got everything except the manual. They did take the time to remove it from the plastic so that's in there as well. I do have the serial number so I'm about to report it to Nintendo as well.

My wife walked into GameStop today to get a Kraken headset for my kid for Christmas, and they had just received a shipment of oled. I have to wait until Christmas for it though lol.

I changed the topic title and first post to be in line with this being a restock thread. If anyone can get a mod to make this sticky we’ll be all set.

Yeah fingerhut is basically a rent to own type of thing with monthly payments. You pay WAY more than anything is worth, but maybe someone desperate enough will bite.

Shoutout to all the people that successfully put on a screen protector the first time with no issues. Probably the first time I’ve ever successfully put on a screen protector the first time with no dust/bubbles lol

I'm going to return a neon red/blue OLED Switch to Best Buy this weekend since my buddy who wanted my backup ended up not wanting it, but if anyone near Rockville, MD wants it at cost, let me know.  It's $371 with tax.  Otherwise it's going back to BB.

Was able to score a white one from Best Buy. I can probably sell my modded V1 after I transfer my account over. I hope this is worth the upgrade.

Got one of these yesterday from my local gamestop for my ps4 pro and $20. Did the system transfer so now to sell the old switch v1

I did buy the amFilm but honestly, I'm a little unsatisfied with the gap on either side considering the plastic shatter film is supposedly easier to scratch than the plastic of the standard Switch. I placed an order for the MoKo, which is an actual edge to edge protector.

Bought that moko one for my nephew’s switch oled that I got him for Christmas/his bday. Hope it works out.

This is the condition my amazon truck order came in. Should I keep or get a refund? Amazon says I can't get a replacement.

I don’t like how they packaged the system itself, just sits right on the bottom with nothing really protecting the screen.
