I normally wouldn't wait that long, but with the regular Switch trading in for $260, this will probably be the best value I get for it. Plus, being early fall, the weather is just right that I won't be freezing or burning up while waiting outside.

My plan is to get to the mall at 7am or shortly after 7, get the OLED Switch when they open at 10am, then come back in the afternoon to trade in my OG Switch and pick up Metroid Dread and Far Cry 6.

So now when I log into Best Buy it says that mine will be Ready for pickup today, however it still says they will let me know when it's ready. They haven't charged my CC yet either, but also my Metroid Dread that is ready hasnt' been charged either so who knows.

Still absolutely no movement on my Walmart order. Just says order placed and expected by Sunday.

 
both my red and white are ready for pick up at best buy. white from target is scheduled for delivery today, red schedule for tomorrow. amazon white sheduled for delivery today. my walmart red hasn't shipped yet (i only paid 266 including tax, walmart system did automatic price adjustment/price error).

My Target order has finally changed from Backordered to ordered, though estimated delivery date is next Thursday.
 
Considering 2 out of my 4 orders have no movement, I'm glad I preordered multiples and I'm also assuming there are going to be shortages of these, based on comments from other people in this thread too.

I just walked into Target and got one. A guy was right in front me of me getting one. I got neon, which was what I wanted. Good luck, everyone.
 
I was just on chat with Best Buy and they guaranteed me that they will be receiving more of the OLED Switches throughout the day and that my preorder from July 15th will be fulfilled today.

We shall see.

I'm picking up Metroid Dread there too so I'm trying to just make one trip today lol.

 
Got a red and blue OLED. Not the white I hoped for, but still.

Apparently there was also a Pokemon TCG release today, which thankfully I was there before they started showing up.

Chances are if you're not already at a GS (on the East Coast at least), don't bother trying there.

Never hurts to call. My GS had one red/blue oled left at 11:15 am. But its probably gone by now. They had 15 extras besides the pre-order OLEDs. I was #9 in line when I arrived 20 min before opening. Got lucky that this store had so many Switch OLEDs.

Amazon had the neon red and blue OLED Switch in stock right this moment. Have to have Amazon Prime though.

Also if you really want to get one of these, I would definitely set up discord notifications for this or any of the other next gen consoles. I use Falcodrin Community Discord.

Thanks for the heads up. I saw your note about the white one and struggled for several minutes trying to get it in my cart. Didn't happen and then saw your note about the neon, and was able to place an order for that one.

 
Went to Best Buy to pick up my Metroid CE. They had at least a dozen of each color OLED sitting behind the checkout.
 
Stood in line at Gamestop, only had 1 extra. Was 3rd in line. But weirdly enough went to Target and they had two. Got a white one. Now to sell me og!

 
Went to two Targets this morning just to check things out.  The first one only received two Switches and sold them to the only two guys waiting in line.   The second store had two neon units on the shelf at 9:30am.  Just picked up a single Dread amiibo set.  

Release day is so fun.  :D/  There were several other people buying the new Pokemon card sets that released today.

My wife bought a 3D printed clip for the Switch and Pro Controller a long while ago. Looks like it still fits the OLED though it did seem a little snugger.

Also tried my Orzly grip on it and it also fits but very tightly. I'm not sure if I'll keep using it, might be a little too tight on there.

Going to look at my tempered glass screen protector for the original Switch later. They usually come in packs so I had a second left over. I don't think it's going to work, though. The front looks totally different.
 
got a blue n red off best buy for next week. was in line on line for a while before it finally let me add to cart...did try for the white one first but It was sold out so I tried again for the red n blue and it went thru 

 
My "Backordered" Target white Switch shipped, and will supposedly be here on Tuesday. Works for me. I got the screen protectors the other day, so I'm all set. I guess the only other thing I need is another Switch case. I've been rocking my LoZ Breath of the Wild collector's case since day one. (I'm planning on keeping my launch unit.)

Any case recommendations?

 
I didn't preorder, but visited one of my local Gamestops. The shop got 12 switches total (6 white & 6 neon blue/red.) Of the 12, 8 were pre-orders (5 white & 3 neon.) I was first in line at 5:45 am this morning, with another guy who rolled up at 6:15 am. We were the only people until a couple people came for pokemon cards at 8:30. At 9 am the line had about a dozen people waiting. With only 4 switches available. Feel bad for em, but I made sure I was getting that final, white switch. I played some Grindstone and Metroid Dread and it was definitely worth the long morning: the vivid mode looks GREAT. Hope those of you waiting get your OLED's soon!!!

I got lucky, checked on google just to see. One target 30 mins from me in dallas had a blue& red one. Going to pick it up tomorrow, can't believe how lucky that was.

 
Oh man, I just found out that the non-OLED Switch isn't going to get a price drop.  Ah come on Nintendo, throw in a free game or something; especially for the Switch Lite.

Lucky, I’m curious how long these will be sold out for? I had one preordered way back and canceled it, now I’m considering it again.

Was lucky enough to get the last copy of Metroid Dread Special Edition at Target at 1am yesterday (it said only one left, I’m guessing that was only one left in the area and not nation wide? Lol)
