This was in pittsburgh. Basically bunch of originally 14-30 dollar games for 60% off (clearance?) It was some supposed "BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL EVENT" but no blue lights involved; also included LOTS of other items (tags beneath the shelves).

Didn't see what gba games were on sale but I assume they were 60% of 15-20 so they'd be 6 or 8 dollars.

Decent selection sat/sun 1/16-1/17 only.

snagged a wavebird late last night there were 2 left so i was debating if i shuld get both but then some guy came in asking about it so i gave him one...that counts as my good deed for the year so i guess i can be an asshole again

To me it matters not if this sale is still going on, since the kmart by me primarily had xbox games remaining, and I have a ps2 & gc... so that does not help my mission.
 
I drove by there about 3 times this weekend and almost, but didnt stop- due to the fact that they have been having these STUPID signs up just about everyweekend on all streets around the store and NEVER HAD SH^T !!! The one time I dont go in there, they have some good deals.
They cry wolf so much w/ these d&$m signs that I'm sure I'm not the only one that passed them by..........I hate KMart!

I also checked and no more sale. I scanned the texas holdem gba that I got yesterday for $5.99 and it came up at $14.99. Also scanned many that were on sale yesterday and they were back at full price. The only thing I found that had a clearance sticker was castlevania:cotm and came up at $7.99. I also went to a different kmart which had 4 wavebird/metroids left in the case and they were coming up at $39.99. So I guess thats it until they do it again.
 
Thanks for all that updated today. KMart sure has a silly way of selling/moving their products. I have no faith in the company in its financial future.

Anyhow, I'm sure that these games will be clearanced again. Who knows when? But it will probably be another weekend thing?
 
Hopefully Kmarts will do this again but open it to more of their selection since they have a ton of stuff just sitting there not moving.
 
Thanks to this thread, I got a huge score. My local Kmart had a Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories Premium Edition for $13.99. I also picked up a copy of Suikoden III for $11.99. The last Yu-Gi-Oh premium went for over $80 on Ebay. :whistle2:D

the electronics dude had all the stuff that was on clearance in bins at the counter, so i had him scan silent hill 3 and castlevania:loi and they both came up regular price, i was sad.especially because i got to look at all the stuff i could have gotten last night

Great collectors find! I'm sure I saw one behind the glass, but I was so exited when I got Kingdom Hearts (Black Label), so I forgot to check it. :D

anyone know how much some of those games would be without the discount since they have some hard to find games there
 
Went yesterday and they didn't have any more Wavebird/Metroid Prime bundles. Someone probably bought all of them, don't really blame them though.

Which is why I said 'if' in my statement. There has been much conjecture on whether the K-mart POS will be updated and that was still a question at the time I was writing.

Got the Metroid Prime/Wavebird bundle last night... couldn't freakin pass that up, too sweet of a deal. Glad I remembered to hit up the boards last night or I'd be very upset right now, Gamecube accessories never seem to be on sale.

Hi, I also saw a Yu-Gi-Oh game at the Kmart near me, it was a PS2 game that came with a special card. I'm not sure if this is the Premium Edition you are talking about, I don't know much about Yu-Gi-Oh. Anyone have a link to a picture of the Premium Edition so I can confirm it was it. Also, it wasn't part of the 60% sale but it was in there regular everyday clearance bin!

Anyway, the only time I scored a good deal at Kmart is when one near me closed down in the summer of 2001, they had 70%-80% games and I remember picking up a few deals there in the pre-CAG days.

Also, I just opened up Viewtiful Joe and played it today. What have I been playing not to play this game sooner. It's so awesome and I can't believe I got this for $8. This is definitely the best game I"ve picked up this year (to have opened and played) and it was cheap. Thanks OP and CAG!

Man, I'm sorry I overlooked this deal. I happened by Kmart today to get some candy, and saw MANY MP/Wavebird and MP4/Wavebird bundles in addition to many of the games listed still in stock. Chalk one up to no money and not liking K-Mart. Someone shoot me.

The one that's going for a lot has a foil cover and has a small yellow circular sticker on the seal saying something like "promo cards included".

Yeah, I picked one of these up about a year ago at Target for like $8, then sold it for well over $100 on eBay. :shock:

An employee said they never had those in, but they had a pack of a PS1 or PS2 (she just said Playstation) controller grouped with one of three games (the only one she could remember was Prince of Persia), and they sold out of those around X-Mas.

I did notice that some games were marked clearance prices still though. Manhunt for PS2 was 8 bucks, Crimson Skies for Xbox was 12 I think. That's about all I remember.
 
Not to beat this to death, but are the games that weren't part of the 60% off back up in price too? Has anyone tried a Mega Man Zero 3 since Sunday?

Which one did you go to? I made the rounds Sunday to six of them, mostly in the North County and West County area. Only one that had any Wavebirds was two in Florissant.

FYI, I missed the sale, but I stopped by a San Diego Kmart today and they had a lot of the goods left... no Wavebirds, though,

I asked about the sale, and they said it's over, BUT...

IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN, probably the last weekend fo the month.

Its really good, and has a few new bits that make it feel different from X 2. I can say more, but honestly i'll some it up as : I suck at this game...but i love it.

I still have the original Zero sealed from the CC sale. I will probably open that and MM Zero 3 soon

One of my Kmarts has a few of the Metroid/WB bundles . . . had a clerk scan one . . . came up $39.99. I guess 60% off would make it $15.99 . . . have to watch for BLUE LIGHTS
 
wonder if that YU gi oh site sells any of those cards at those prices. I couldnt sell a Set of 3 of the Travel Board game on Ebay for 15 and they want 22. Same with the refresh.
