Now it's down to 30$ good enough?

Well I picked it up yesterday, but didn't get a chance to play till just now. I have been a Rainbow Six/Ghost Recon fan since the games hit the current generation of consoles; That being said, this is just about the worst letdown I have had in quite a while (well, since BHD at least). It's like it was developed by the same studio who did the PS2 version of Ghost Recon 2. The graphics are a step back, at least, from Rainbow Six 3, the AI is just one step below running in circles (even on the elite setting), and the overall style of gameplay is more along the lines of Pariah (run and gun) rather than what the Rainbow and Ghost Recon games have always been. To say that this game resembles Ghost Recon in any way is laughable at best, as it's a little closer to Black Hawk Down in urban camo. I will be trading mine back in tomarrow, and here's to hoping Advanced Warfighter won't be as bad as this garbage.
 
Played single player...

There was a villain who ran from one of my grenades and hid in a room. When I ran into the room, there were his legs... just his legs. Standing there, doing nothing. LEGS.

My CPU team mates ran in, trying to shoot the legs, but it would deal no damage. They wouldn't follow me into the next area, they just kept shooting those legs.

The AI is quite dumb.

And I was looking forward to this game. I'll rent it just to see what it's like. I'll probally end up rebuying one of the Rainbow Six 3 games.
 
yeah I really don't expect much from this game but I'll probably pick it up today or tommorrow anyway. I just can't make up my mind. I may just take that credit and use it towards a 360 game.

See I kept black arrow and after playing Lockdown for about 2 hours turned it off and went back to black arrow. My buddy, who also purchased the game was extremely letdown and immediately wanted to play black arrow. I got him to play lockdown with me for about an hour and he could not take it anymore so we switched.

See lockdown reminds me of Star Wars Republic Commando (which I liked), but with no action and stupid AI it is really not that fun. They should of just kept the old engine made some new maps and weapons and added the PEC mode.

Oh, yeah. I'm gonna buy Black Arrow once again.

And, yeah... Lockdown is a bit of a disappointment. I get entertainment out of it so far, so I'll keep it for a while. But it feels like they took the good of Black Arrow, took it out and replaced it with the bad of Ghost Recon 2.
 
Black Arrow. If only Black Arrow had that PEC shit, though... It'd be perfect.
 
I dont want rainbow six 3 again, so im gonna get black arrow off ebay within a week or 2, thanks guys (unless someone on CAG has a cheap copy.... *hint hint*)
 
Wow, I guess lots of people don't like this game....I'll probably play it over the weekend and trade it in before GameRush deals end.

I'm not sure how I really like the PEC thing. You can be at a real disadvantage over people who play ALL the time.

That's a big gripe of mine. There are non-PEC matches to resolve this, but the PEC mode is fun. But there's the catch-22 of playing level 2 zillion fuck-os with $76,000,000 worth of weapons and infina-upgrades.
 
I've got it and opened it, but i'm scared to put it in..

(Note: Returning it is no biggie, Rhino would take it back via the 'if it sucks, bring it back' policy, but still)

The level of competency taught by family and the education system in the United States continues to amaze.

After playing the single player portion for a bit, I.. wow.. I don't really know what to think. The AI is awful (my teammates constantly get stuck) , the graphics are worse, the sound isn't the best in the world, just.. wow. I just ran up to a door that you can't even open and had my back against it.. then an enemy pops (literally) through it and kills me. I'll play this one today and tomorrow, but i'm pretty sure this one's definately not a keeper.

It is cool how your visor gets bullet holes, though.

Uhh... wouldn't you be dead if you had a bullet hole in your visor?

And Algebra, you'd have to pick up GR2:SS or effect some sort of mass migration back to RS3BA to test out the WildWop Shield (tm). I played the demo of this, and there's no way $50 will be spent on it. This is sad to say, considering how much fun RS3 and RS3BA were.

I have this damn game but I don't want to open it until I rent it. I only picked it up because I had it payed off. But I really want to play it first. Does suck enough to just leave it alone at all costs or is it ok enough to pick it up for $38 at Fry's?

You'd think, wouldn't you? It was left of the center, right over where my left eye would be if I was in the visor, but nope.. it did screw with my view, which was cool.

Rent it, you may like it. But I hated it.

I wanted to try some online modes last night, but when I joined a game, I was greeted with "NOOB! WHO'S THE NOOB! HOW'D THE NOOB FIND THIS ROOM? WHO'S TEH NOOB?" so I left.

Yeah. Same with me... the day it came out, even. There were already people at level 10 billion and shit, with all of the upgrades and specialty weapons.

I repurchased Black Arrow earlier today, as well.

But I don't want to pay $39.95 - $49.95 for the Collector's Edition. I'm still trying to find an appropriately priced copy or an opportune trade.

I'm glad to see I didn't leave XBL for the wrong reasons. I couldn't stand listening to such stupidity anymore.

I'm pretty disappointed to hear how Lockdown is flopping. Guess I'll just wait for a price drop and focus my time on the new Burnout.

Or return it and wait until next month and get it for $30 at GameCrazy, thats when I will be getting it. Looks like I'll be getting Burnout Revenge, barring any screw ups in it too.

I played some Terrorist Hunt with adamsappel and some of his friends. Pretty fun stuff, to my surprise.

However, I wonder if terrorist organizations have acquired the technology to clone white, bald guys and outfitted them all in button-up shirts and a pair of blue jeans and just throw them out into the field.

But damn, I have nowhere near enough money to buy a sailor cap in PEC mode. NOWHERE NEAR.
