I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

EDIT 6:I found the master list which is essentially the green tag games merged with the 12/22 list. I did find some new games that will be part of the B&M sale on Monday but still no Psychonauts for Xbox.

True, I picked up 8 items, 1 copy of each. I'm not a greedy bastard like some, but I'm sick of leaving things till the last minute and loosing out. Just grab them now and PM after xmas (to avoid the xmas panic). I was also awarded 6 free xbox starwars controllers. I noticed that each item said promo as it rang up. So I ask the obvious question, what does that mean... So score!!!!!

Hopefully I can sell 1 or three on ebay, and make the games free!!!!

So true... I was a production supervisor at the Desert Sun in Palm Springs before the wife and I moved back to her hometown in PA, and I can vouch for people not speaking english. At least half of my crew either spoke little or no English, so I had to rely on the bilinguals to translate for me.

I found out about this sale on GameFAQs and signed up just for this!
 
Been looking for a cheap copy of Haunting Ground for awhile now. I was actually going to buy it for $40 within the week at Toys R US (only place nearby that has it) but saw this thread so I'm waiting. Looked like they had 3-4 copies so hopefully Thursday it'll still be there. They had several copies of Romance of the Three Kingdoms X as well when I checked today. Gamestop sells used copies at $44.99 so it's probably worth close to $20 trade-in (might check tomorrow to see how much it's worth) and they usually run trade-in deals right after Christmas so you could stack extra trade-in value on top of that.

A couple of weeks ago they had 2-3 copies of Dark Cloud 2 but I didn't see any today. You can buy that used for $15 or less so no big deal. Didn't see any DDS1 copies though which is the jackpot if you can find one. If they're not busy I'll ask and hope they have one, but probably not. I didn't check the others but I think they had Metal Slugs and some other decent games as well.

As stated before, each and every XB or PS2 game is eligible for the free controller (Except for promos and demos, like JamPack). May as well sweeten things up to diabetic levels while the opportunity is there.

As odd as it may sound, I actually like my XB Jedi Hunter controller better than any of my others (including the S controller). The flat surface buttons and the whole controller overall just feel better to me. Chalk it up to my freakish webbed fingers, i guess :lol:

This is my logic . . . why wait and then get shut out. I went to see what my TRU had (which is never much) and decided to pick up games now. Most were in low supply.

Picked up Conker, and while the pull ticket said $29.95, I got charged $33.29...Not like it really matters though.

Oh, and oddly enough, my TRU pulled it's 'no PA' signs. I wonder if that was just for that week...

Neither. It's only the original versions that happened to have the bonus DVD packed in with them (seperate UPC from the common one used by both Fable by itself and TLC). You'd be hard pressed to see any of this version still laying around, but it isn't unheard of.
 
Speaking of which, does that mean there is some version of DDR Extreme that came bundled with a CD that is only part of this deal?

I know Toys R Us gave out a free CD when you bought the game (which was later marked down to a penny), but I never saw it bundled with the game.

I'm not sure. Never tried it, and only saw it once (but it was posted on every register). They were replaced by some candy price signs, so I don't know if they'll go back up. Possibly due to BF sales, but the signs were up a week ago.
 
TRU needs to get it sh!t together! I went to 4 different locations and was going for Killer 7, FIFA 05, and Tekken 5...K7 is all I could find. I took all 3 cases to the counter and after a 25 min wait the guy tells me they have only Killer 7, 1 out of 3 is ok, whatever... The big problem I have is the 6 other "backup" games I was looking for were there out on the racks at almost every location but every time I took the display to get the game they didn't have it!
TOTAL TIME IN LINE: 1hour 35mins
TOTAL GAMES BOUGHT: 2!
Are all TRU stores this retarded or is it just the DFW area!?! I did manage to get a copy of RE4 GCN, if anyone wants to trade for Tekken 5, PM me.

There were two DDS cases at my store...however the one I bought was the last copy (they checked the back room for mine) so I guess it's like that for all stores. The store is pure anarchy with crap all over the floors/aisles so I doubt they are able to accurately keep track of empty cases.

I found a DDS case(has a pure WHITE cover) at one store and when the girl came back to the counter she rang the game up(it had a BLACK cover), I asked her to let me see, it was Trapt! I would have laughed if it wasn't the dumbest thing I'd ever seen.
 
I really hate you people buying early. I said it last night, saying it tonight, and i'll say it tomorrow. If I get shafted out of buying the one game that I want out of this sale because of early buyers, i'll rant and rave until i'm blue in the face.

to be fair, i went this afternoon with the intention of being an early-buyer, but they had SHIT for stock. I got warioware for the GBA and cube... so I'll get those adjusted on Thursday, but other than that they really had NOTHING. no re4, no mariopartys, not even any shit-titles.

oh well, just letting you know there were even earlier buyers than the early buyers.

edit: Also, does anyone know what the deal with getting Sears to PM would be? I know they have a few copies of Mario Pinball left and I could walk in on Thursday and get them there if they would PM... should I just have them call Toys R Us or what?

The same one as everyone else - Resident Evil 4. It's for a christmas present. I scouted out two TRU's in nearby cities, they had some as of Monday afternoon.. so.. i'm going to check there and hope for the best.

If it's on the TRU site Thursday morning try CC and see if they'll PM. Just a thought.

The stock (of good games) at my TRU was ridiculously low and it sounds like a lot of others are experiencing the same thing.

It's kinda in low supply, the two closest stores to me don't have any and the next closest to me has 2, allegedly.

my store had everything i wanted sunday, but i figured i'd wait a few days (not sure why, as i still planned to prebuy)

now it looks like i won't have time to get there till thursday.

i would damn all the fw's and sd's, but then again, that's how i found this site and i never (while hardly ever) look back...

Any news on what Gran Turismo 4 will be marked at Thursday? I'm guessing it won't be that great of a deal, but seeing that game posted in the other TRU "blowout" sale thread, I was hoping for a nice price.
 
Well shitballs. I didn't have enough money up front to prebuy and now it looks like I'm getting nothing. =\ Awesome post OP, too bad FW and SD are gonna rape it to death Reaver style.
 
I didn't prebuy anything...I'm holding out. I checked one TRU today and they had some stuff I wanted. Hopefully the games I want will be there come Thursday as I plan to be wanting at the door as they open.
 
im going to stop by again tomorrow and see if stock took a hit - based on that, i may or may not prebuy some things i was going to wait for.
 
I checked my TRU a couple of days ago, no go. They had NOTHING on my list. X__X
