I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.
EDIT:this is all I got. The new stuff is listed on the top. If anyone else at TRU has anything to add let me know.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

EDIT 6:I found the master list which is essentially the green tag games merged with the 12/22 list. I did find some new games that will be part of the B&M sale on Monday but still no Psychonauts for Xbox.

Does anyone want to trade any games? I am looking for dds and tekken 5. If you found those and not others maybe my toys r us had the ones you were looking for and we can trade.

Just made another trip and some of the games on the list are still ringing up at regular prices. There were a few CAGer's at the last TRU and they were not having a lot of luck with PS2 games. I was able to score:

that's a 2 hour and a half drive one way. I'd spend 20 bucks in gas for the round trip, not to mention the 5 hours in the car. not worth it

Hey...I would be willing to trade DDS1 (just can't imagine myself actually sitting down and dedicating that much time to it) for a copy of Metal Slug Advance (new for new only).

Would have to wait until after the holidays until I can get it off..heading out of town tomorrow, back after new years....

Who else besides theender mentioned it? And how is someone going to call and confirm the $6.65 price-adjusting thing? Multiple people have already said that their games only got adjusted down to $9.98, so this is extremely YMMV.
 
I had all of my price adjustments done at customer service and I only saw a few titles that came up at $6.65.

Here are the ones that I got at that price.

Halo 2
Prince of Persia 2
Haunting Ground

All of the other price adjustments came up to $9.98.
 
Well here is my run:


2 copies DDS1 (i got two copies, one for myself and one for someone here)
Pikmin 2 for my neice, last copy that i saw
Samuri Western, last copy
RE4, they had 3 copies left, but one of the employees hid one after he saw the price so I dont know how many are left now
Golden Sun, they still had some left not sure how many
Wario Ware had a few of these
Psychonauts, had like 2-3

I didnt really look into to many games. They had some Metal Slug 4/5's left. No Mario Partys :( Really i was looking for 5, i got 4 in last years 5 dollar CC sale. I also saw a few FF1and 2 copies for GBA last night, A LOT OF THEM, but today i didnt see one copy while I was there. There werent really many people when I got there. But it did appear that someone from FW was there.

Big basket, lots of games. Bastards. He didnt notice that all the good stuff was behind the glass though.

I didn't pick up squat... my TRU had, as I feared, been hoarded. I was going to pick up some Pikmin 2s since there were a few left. I decided to go look around some more and ended up finding nothing that I wanted. I noticed many of the clearance games were already marked with $9.98 price while others weren't.

So I go back to the Pikmin 2s and they're all gone! Some old guy snagged all 4 and was at the register being rung up. My brother picked up KuF: Burning Crusade and TOCA 2 so at least one of us found something out of this.

I figured I lost out on this deal and decided to just go back to customer service and PM the games I already bought. Funny thing... when I went back to PM them, the lady asked me if I knew how much they'd be and I told her $9.98 and she tried to PM them and they all rung up much less than 9.98: MK Deception KE was $6.68, DoAU was $8.98, and Golden Sun II was $3.98. But she adjusted them back up to $9.98... damn.:p Oh well, at least I got 3 games I kinda wanted.

New info:
I went early, as they opened and there was nobody else there minus few moms and dads, R-Zone was empty. I think the employees may have emptied it out since when my brother's games rung up as only $9.98 they didn't look surprised or anything... I just couldn't believe all those games were gone!

I think this deal was over before it started due to the hoarders learning 'buy now, PM later'.:whistle2:x
 
Hey CAG's, I have searching through the site for the 20% off one item coupon for TRU and I can't find it anymore. If someone has the link would they please post it. I am going to my TRU is about 2 hours so I'll let you know what I picked up.
 
I was able to get everything I wanted today! A couple as gifts and, honestly, most for me. They had just about every game on the list as well, and I was the only person there looking through them all. I got there at 8:00, and the entire time I was there, which was about an hour or so, I was the only one looking at them at all.

A quick tip for you guys also. If you don't see what you want on the shelf, look in the glass case as well, that's where they had a few of them that I wanted. I thought I was out of luck on a few of them since I didn't see them on the shelf, but I went behind the counter and looked in the glass case, and there they were.

i got my fat ass up at 8 am and there was 0 resident evil 4. none of the psp games listed were in stock! really upset about those 2 things.

also batman, charlie and chocolate factory is not in the sale. but it's all good.

highlights: 2 fellow cagers were in there. they didn't hoard anything so i was really chill with them. 1 got some gba games and the other got some ps2 games for his nephew. i was holding an extra copy of tekken 5 that he needed so i gave it to him. that's my good deed for the day.

a bunch of employees had a pissed look asking me where i got the list in a crap tone. i just said some guy.
 
If you are in the Middletown, NY area...RUN...don't walk to the TRU there!

I rolled in at 10:30 AM not expecting much and there was no sign of any sale going on, but many of the great games from the sale were well stocked within the cases. A bunch of RE4, Pikmin 2, Doom 3, Metal Slugs, Killer 7, Dynasty Warrior 5, Tekken 5, Golden Sun,etc.....didn't notice any of the PSP or DS games from the list though.

I snagged a couple of RE4s, FIFA Street, and Fight Night: R2

My other RE4 is on my tradelist below, and I have a bunch of PSP stuff on there also....I really need a Gamecube now, so if anyone has an extra, check my list and see if we can work something out.

Including the games I picked up today, I also got Dead to Rights and Darkstalkers for the PSP online last night. Thanks to the OP and all who have contributed to this thread!

Yes, it would have. All the games I got still had original prices on them. Nobody in the store even knew about the sale till they rang the games through

oh yeah i forgot to mention that. when i was in line to check out, the lady in front of me was buying a 360 premium. so i asked the cashier if he had any more left and he said he had two so i picked one up! i asked if i could get one more and he said only 1 per customer. i figured i'd get my mom to get one more on her way home in about an hour after i got there. the guy told me flat out that he gave it no later than 9 am before it would be gone. It was 8:48 when i was checking out. sure enough at 8:57, a guy came in and bought the last one.
 
Just got back from San Antonio TRU. They were out of Tekken 5 and Metal Slug 4 & 5, which is what I really wanted, but I got some good stuff. Nobody was really there, and hoarders hadn't hit it yet. I picked up:

I just want to say, thanks a ton OP. This has been THE defining sale of 05' for me at least, and much thanks to everyone who posts the ads and sales ahead of time. May you be greatly rewarded.
 
btw, certain games did not ring up at 9.98 for me. examples include Splinter Cell DS, Viewtiful Joe DS, and one other title that escapes me at the moment.

The games I got from the Toys R Us 10 dollar clearance is

-Pikmin 2
-Conker Live and Reloaded
-Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex


They were sold out of Metal Slug 4 and 5(Only had xbox version), Dynasty Warrior 5 and Tekken 5.

Very possible. However, 3 other CSR came by and I told them what was happening, and they looked at the screen, and said nothing.

Also, another CAGer on here had some 6.65 luck.

Well, VJ DS isn't supposed to be 9.98. Clearly says "Viewiiful Joe Double Trouble 29.95" on the original post. Besides, the game just came out 4 weeks ago, it wouldn't be 9.98 yet.
 
I ran into two CAG'ers at the West Madison TRU and they were both very nice.

Then I saw a guy with a Fatwallet print out who wasn't nearly as nice.

So you were gonna buy 2 $600 bundles or are they selling just the system at your store? I'm almost positive I heard the employees saying they got 9 in and to the keep the service desk updated on them as they sell so they can tell callers.

I managed to pick up the last RE4.

Star Ocean, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and SOnic Adventure DX were completely full. I decided to pick up SCCT

Viewtiful Joe DS, for the billionth time, is $29.95, just as the price next to it says in the first post.

Dag nabbit, I'm pretty saddened that Psychonauts for xbox is not $9.98 =( But it's enough for me, I'm pretty happy with my haul. Anyone in NYC, the midtown TRU still has Conker left but it's hidden pretty good if you don't look for it (hint, look at the top shelves!). Luckily I'm 6'2" so I just noticed it. Damn I should have picked up some Halo 2 LE's and DOAU's yesterday (when I saw a crapload still) to trade. I really want Tekken 5. =( Went by today and not a single decent game was on the shelf anymore (except for Conker) except for just some DBZ Sagas (man that game is horrible, even at $5 :lol: ).
 
Picked up Golden Sun, 2xFinal Fantasy I&II (one is a gift), and Pikmin 2 at the Porter Ranch, CA store. Not much else really there but then I wasn't looking for everything on the list. Most of the stuff on my list (about 25 games) looked as if it had already been picked clean.
