I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.
EDIT:this is all I got. The new stuff is listed on the top. If anyone else at TRU has anything to add let me know.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

EDIT 6:I found the master list which is essentially the green tag games merged with the 12/22 list. I did find some new games that will be part of the B&M sale on Monday but still no Psychonauts for Xbox.

Ok, this is my 5th try with this. Please, pay attention.


When I got to TRU this morning, I went to the games section, and made my 9.99 purchases. Then, I went to the CS desk to price-adjust the games I had pre-bought a few days ago to the 9.99 price. They adjusted down to 6.65 instead of 9.99. I, of course, went all giddy, and then decided to try my new games that I had just bought at the 9.99 price. I handed her the fresh receipt, and almost all of the games price-adjusted from their original sale price of 9.99 down to 6.65. So, I went back into the games section for a third round of games. I then brought that reciept to her, and did it again, and it worked again. 20 of my 25 titles that I got went down to 6.65. So, to summarize:

1. Bought 10 games earlier in the week - price-adjusted those to 6.65, instead of the expected 9.99

2. Took the games that I bought at 9.99 when I got there this morning, handed the receipt to the CS lady, and they price-adjusted from the just-purchased sale price of 9.99, down to 6.65.

3. I did it a third time with another batch of games I went and bought, after seeing my success with the second batch.

GOT IT??

Bottom line: When you buy your games today at 9.99, stop by the CS desk, hand the receipt to the worker, and ask them to price-adjust it.

I went to three TRU's today. I'm pretty tired but I guess I'll go try this out later this afternoon.

Good for you, but I think getting my $50 game for $10 is enough. Personally, I would feel too cheap trying to get another $3 off.

I've done some pretty awful things to save on games but this is overkill for me.

I was just ticked off that the ones I got 2 days ago should have (could have) been $6.65 but the clerk screwed up.
 
The clerk said the sale was actually supposed to start on Dec. 25 but kicked off today, so I imagine that it'll be going on for a little while longer.

Man I hope they restock on RE4.

Well I only saw the side of the boxes for RE4 in the glass case, so if it turns out to be a display case, then I wouldnt be surprised.

Yeah, that's what concerned me. I'd feel like an idiot standing there asking them to price adjust it as they simply stare at me like I'm a total moron and send away with nothing but a snicker.
 
I spent $700-800 and my brother spent like $120. I got extras of some things to trade but I got like 30 different games for myself. Luckily I refuse to pay full price for games, so I didn't have much of anything on that entire list and went to all 4 TRU store in Indy and found pretty much everything I wanted. Hardest games to find were Dead to Rights and Mario Pinball but I got them.

I missed out on GBA Kirby, GBA DK, GBA DKC2, a couple Gamecube games, couple Xbox games, couple PS2 games (really wanted that DDR game).
 
Has anyone gotten DDR Extreme for $10? I saw one just the game no CD, but didn't get a price check but if I knew it was $10, I would go back for it (wasn't sure since there was no CD with it)

I'm glad Ender posted that info, if you only bought 1 or two games it's not much but that guy above could save hundreds! :lol: Or a normal person buying 10 games could save $30!

No, I didn't say you did anything awful, I have in the past (much, much worse things). I just meant that I would feel a little weird getting the extra $3 but I have nothing against anyone doing it.
 
Didn't think I would run out again but I did. I have an extra Zelda Four Swords if anyone is interested. The outer box is a little beat up but its sealed and all with the link cable.

Fair enough.

I bought a total of 30 games, and got $3 off of 23 of them. That's $69 I saved. I hope you all have the same luck.
 
Went to TRU today early. Picked up Killer 7, Champions of Norrath, Psychonauts and Mr. Driller.

RE4 was on the rack so I took that up, too. Clerk said they were out, that one person bought the entire stack of them when they opened. I'm sorry, but that just sucks. I'm sure they are all on ebay by now.

It was refreshing, however, to see a lot of the games on the list actually in stock. First time I've actually found stuff I wanted on one of these markdowns.

Today I stopped by 4 TRU stores. I did see plenty of RE4, but didn't pick them up since I don't have a GC. #-o Sorry. I picked up between four stores and online:

Btw, I will be returning Wario Ware (GC) and possibly Dead or Alive: Ultimate (I may give it to a friend for Christmas). In case someone wants either of them for sale/trade, give me a PM. Thanks. If you'd like to trade, I only own an Xbox. No PS2 or GC. I have a want list somewhere around here...
 
If anyone is interested in a Tekken 5 for maybe Resident Evil or something PM me.

The store I went to had lots of stuff, but all I got was MK: Deception Kollectors and Tekken. Almost got Final Fantasy and Warioware for the Cube, but passed. This was in St. Clairsville, OH for anyone close to the area.

Anyone of you guys happen to check out the Parkersburg, WV TRU?
 
Does anyone know any SoCal stores with RE4 in stock? Or any that DID have a bunch in stock b/c the ones in my area are all OOS.

No offense intended. I wasn't trying to give you any shit. I just like to know what exactly I'm getting into before I try something, or at least try to understand what it is I'm doing. So, yes, now I understand it's a just a simple mistake on their part. Regardless, I might give it a shot.
 
Came back from the Fresno, CA TRU on Shaw. I got:

Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 (for myself; I don't think I'm going to keep it though unless someone on CAG wants to buy both)
Pikmin 2 (for my sister)

Someone came in earlier then me and bought every copy of RE 4, Digital Devil Saga (EDIT: Just read this is Socheata), and Halo 2 LE. I really wanted a copy of RE 4 and DDS so I was very dissappointed.
 
Just got back from the E-Ville, CA TRU. No indication of a sale, but the prices rang up on sale, sure enough. :)

I got:

Area 51 -- Xbox
Bard's Tale -- Xbox
RE4 -- GC

They didn't have any RE4s out on the shelf, but I asked for one and they did have several locked up in the case. The cashier seemed perplexed that the games were on-sale -- she even asked a co-worker why all these people were coming in and knew there was a sale when she didn't. Ha!

Back to the topic at hand, has anybody noticed that Psychonauts for Xbox is ringing up for $49.99? Is there a limited and non-limited version of this game? I really want it for Xbox, and there were plenty of copies but I couldn't hold up the line having the checkout girl check each individual copy. I'm going back later, so please give me an answer if someone has one...
