So the crazy homophobic lady in the video I posted is literally a crazy lady diagnosed with schizophrenia. I knew there was something a little off, but considering the kind of craziness that comes from those that support that particular stance, it's hard for me to tell sometimes. I guess that makes me an asshole for laughing at a crazy lady that literally can't help being crazy.

Apparently, she's well known in that part of Nebraska for posting and passing out flyers filled with similar levels of crazy. She goes to every city council meeting and says her piece in the time allowed with the council members allowing it because she's really harmless and moves on once she's done. I sincerely hope she gets the help she needs.

One thing that my state (hawaii) got right finally. Even though it was more of a political/money thing it doesn't matter the same with Obama while it was just politicking for support it doesn't matter. Any support and movement in the right direction is a good thing.

I mean technically, calling someone a son of a bitch insults someone's mother despite it being directed at a son, but people tend not to think that deeply into the etymology of curses so I'm not going to give you a pass on this one especially since the comment isn't about racism in general, but past racist comments made by the both of you.

Xenoblade's a solid choice. Combat and quests have a very MMO-ish structure, which is both good and bad. Textures and lip synching are pretty weak, but I love the setting. The fact that the voice acting is from the European release adds a lot to the charm. My biggest complaint is that there's no way to pause and issue orders to party members in combat; large fights are really annoying because you have no god damn idea where the guy you're targetting is or which way he's facing (the main character has a lot of positional attacks so that's fairly important) or who has aggro on who. Still a really good game.

Haven't played Witcher 2. I avoided the original for a long time because everything I'd heard about it (admittedly not much) amounted to "WARNING: THIS GAME CREATED BY A 12 YEAR OLD WHO JUST DISCOVERED YOU COULD TYPE "BOOBS" IN TO GOOGLE IMAGE SEARCH". I vaguely recall hearing someone compare the game favourably to Planescape Torment, which is just... I mean, I guess both games have a lot of tits in them? Was that supposed to be the commonality?

Anyway, after hearing so many good things about the sequel, I tried out the original, and... it was fucking wretched.

I mean, everyone still says the second one is great, and... I dunno, I guess? They totally could have sorted out the bad textures and the wretched animation and the clumsy combat and the needless plot elements and the fact that it ran way worse than games that looked way better. I was going to start it up a little while back but Xenoblade said no, fuck you, your time belongs to me now.

So what I'm saying is, my vote's on Xenoblade as an imperfect-but-fun JRPG, though I admit to a heavy bias on this matter.

Bethesda's not great at holding my attention. I still play their games, but... great big worlds made out of plastic. Waiting on the PC release of Dark Souls, but I'll probably be just getting back in to Xenoblade when that comes out.

Yeah, Demon's Souls is one of the few rpg's that I've played and liked, so I figured I'd be safe with Dark Souls. I'm not that adventurous with trying rpg's in general.

I get what you're saying and I'm not saying, "If you don't like X, don't look at X." I hate that too. You can be interested in something and be generally negative on it. For example, I like to watch The Simpsons just to see how bad it gets (the whale episode with Lisa is the worst it has gotten). That's the interesting part to me.

But you are directly stating that the very existence of the issue bothers you. You don't like to see it rammed down your throat. What I'm saying is that it's actually something you can ignore. I don't know if it's most, but a lot of people ignore politics altogether and have no clue what is going on.

In my example, I would be a hypocrite if I kept saying, "I hate that the Simpsons is still on." and keep watching it. No, I love that the Simpsons is still on and getting worse every season. So it does sound like you enjoy the gay marriage debate and hearing about it. If you didn't, you wouldn't be here.

It's sort of like how people who hate trolls keep responding to trolls. No, they love trolls and their trolling. You enjoy the gay marriage debate, I think.

Eh, people always say that most people "just don't understand the religion, it shouldn't be taken at face value, blah blah blah......", the truth of the matter is that there is definitely picking and choosing going on when interpreting it. This is why there are a million offshoots for what amounts to the same basic religion.
