I wanted tons of one night stands.

Him with two girls under his arms at a party scene doesn't cut it, and it doesn't help that he solved his personal demons by the end of the film.

And that makes me think of something else I hated... The one-dimensional social commentary on war, and the greed that comes with it. Stark's redemption, with this issue, was hilariously superficial and Hollywood (synonyms of one another, I know) and wrapped up by the end of the film. The problem is far greater than that, Marvel Studios.
That scene, coupled with the one night stand, and Pepper's hesitation to be with him because of his "reputation with girls" I thought were all enough to show what type of guy he is.

Sounds like you were not excited for the film at all. I think you're looking way too deep into it. His company was making weapons for the bad guys behind his back and he was pissed. End of story. I'm not sure the filmmakers ever wanted to convey some kind of social message of "look what war mongering and greed and profiteering from it can do to people." It would also make sense that it did wrap up by the end of the film with Obediah's death, considering he was the one (probably not sole person) behind selling weapons to the bad guys.

Considering this is Marvel's first independent movie, I thought they did great....less so...much less so with the Hulk reboot, but I think they're in a much better situation from making the movies themselves. Look how badly other studios shit the bed with the X-Men, Spiderman, Hulk, Punisher, Ghost Rider and Fantastic Four movies. Only X-Men 2 is good, all 3 Spiderman films are complete and utter trash, and I don't even want to give the time of day to the Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider or Punisher movies.

Granted, we haven't seen how Marvel Studios handles sequels, but I have faith.
Contrary to popular belief: Gummo was actually a documentary.

Check that film out if you want to see how fuckED Ohio is.
I hope you're just kidding.

Xenia's pretty hillbilly - okay, *really* hillbilly - but Gummo ain't real.

duuuuuude.

Bayonetta is region locked. Boooooooooooo.

I hope that's just the Japanese version and the Asian version is legit, but probably not.

Your avatar and title are the perfect combination zoo. When does Felt 3 drop?

I need to give the new Between the Buried and Me a spin.

You're poor at detecting intentional absurdity.

Or I'm someone who grew up near Xenia, and has dealt with people debating that very point since the fucking thing was released.
Who cares?
Those who pay for their games.

" I want to buy an inferior product."

You know the 360 version shits on the PS3 version, correct?

That doesn't matter though.

Having played both demos, the differences are more internet fanboy hyperbole than they are genuine performance reasons to select one over the other.

You know your opinion is slanted by the fact that you can't pirate PS3 titles and thus have to pay money for them, correct?

That doesn't matter though.

There's a 50+ lady staring at me in the library. I've been here for 10-15 minutes and every time I took up she locks eyes with me. I think I need to make a move before she thinks I'm uninterested.

I know as a Sony fanboy, I'm contractually obligated to say so, so lets get it out of the way:

I played the Japanese Bayonetta demo and, personally, I didn't notice anything worth complaining about.

Myke, if the 360 version was the inferior one, I'd still get it because it was free. Now I get the best of both worlds.

You on the other hand have the option of either and choose the inferior because it is on your preferred system of choice. That says something.

Oh, ok.

You're missing the broader point. The anal retentive obsessive compulsive fucking *ridiculous* comparisons that exist this generation are much more about irrational brand loyalty and metaphorical system lovemaking than it is about a 10% difference in FPS or 720p versus 680p versions that, while existent and real, are purely psychological in the differences they evoke in opinion.

My preferred system of choice became my preferred system of choice because I've had one of them, and not five. I've made no bones about the fact that I don't tend to purchase multiplatform games for my 360, and the reason behind that is because I want to be able to play them and enjoy them - and I don't trust my 360 to reliably and consistently accomplish that. The freakishly overstated performance differences in multiplatform titles are not great enough for me to risk my 360 dying yet again. It's a hunk of shit that's long out of its 3 year warranty, so I play it as sparingly as possible. My gaming habits are because the 360 is a hunk of junk as much as it is about the Playstation.

You're a pirate. That says all I need to know about what you value. It certainly isn't sustaining the game industry. It certainly invalidates your opinions about what a quality game is, since the only thing you invest into what you play is time and a DVD-R. Nobody should put any stock into your opinion on a game, since you don't have to make the difficult decision to actually lay down money for one.

Me? I played the orange box on the PS3, and I'm not ashamed to say that I enjoyed it. Sorry if that means I don't get to hang out in the cool pirate club with you. But I trust that I, at the very least, understand what a worthwhile game is like. Since I have to pay for them, you know.

Multiplatform games don't tap the Playstation 3's power, so the machine is only good for games produced specifically for the console.

And that's good for my wallet, seeing as how there are only 8, or so, critically acclaimed "must have" titles exclusive to the Playstation 3.

Why do you need to defend the Sony Playstation 3 so badly?

If anything, I have no invested value in the game so I can give an unbiased opinion.

Another perk of being a pirate is people like you who get so worked up about it that you have to constantly bring it up. It's very funny to me.

And it's a DVD+R DL.

I love the semantic pathway these talks take.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfL4S5nI3Kw

I asked if the PS3 version was also region locked, and somehow that turns into a character assassination on me. Which I'm fine with if that's how you wanna do it. I'm not LinkinPrime.

But, really, as far as I'm concerned I've yet to encounter any significant differences in multiplatform titles in fuckin years. The last meaningful difference in multiplatform games was Genesis/SNES Mortal Kombat. End of fuckin' story as far as I'm concerned.

If you want to insist that Bayonetta has fifteen less sprites in her jigglin' titties, be my guest. If you want to spend hours and hours braying about that point, be my guest. But you're (1) really wasting some serious time and (2) overstating something as significant that you'd totally overlook if it weren't for the people who filmed that shit and put it up on Kotaku.

You wanna talk aspergers? How about those cats what make the split screen videos? Or, better yet, the folks who spend their time analyzing them frame by frame, cataloging the minutiae as if the missing mole on Bayonetta's ass ruined your gameplay experience.

But y'all have fun and rally around each other, treating ME as if I'M the anomaly. Ha. Whatta fuckin' joke.

Now, I've got to go do some grading, but I'm leaving with a parting thought - and it's agonizing me.

What multiplatform game caused a great deal of discussion earlier this year because one version had more "smoke particles" than the other?

that's my point.

Burning Crimewave to DVD.

I've wanted to see this for years. (Written by the Coens, starring Bruce Campbell and directed by Sam Raimi.)

Before anyone gets on a high horse: This film is also public domain.
Damnit Brak - watch The Lookout already
I saw, like, five minutes of it on cable, one night.

I haven't been watching many pictures, lately, for some reason. :whistle2:k
Watch There Will Be Blood already, asshole.
I will.
