Oh my goodness is the Spurs offense a thing of beauty. Just fantastic ball movement.
Yep. Very fun team to watch as they actually run an offense rather than everyone just standing around watching a super star or two try to score on iso plays.

They are truly saving basketball. So fucking tired of wannabee Jordans trying to make it 'their' team at the cost of stagnant play that's shuddering to basketball enthusiasts. This is probably the most well-balanced (hence my favorite) team since the 04 Pistons. Just praying for a sweep of the Heat

rotf how the fuck lol hornets also good shit to the cavs they look like they could have the quickest turnaround managing to get another top 5 pick

Dude serious...can you stop with the constant Bron pics? Whats the deal man...christ.

Anyway...watching this game and its kinda brutal...the Heat are playing such dumb guy basketball, Spo..do you not have any defensive schemes at all? Plus how at one point do you step forward so Rondo stops hitting constant jumpshots? Boring.......

Not that I am dissing Rondo because I like him but what the fuck? Any player in the NBA can hit shots when the defender is playing a full 10 feet away. Its not like he is Ben Wallace or something...

Bron wasn't the focal point of that pic which i would have thought was clearly evident by what was circled but i guess not

Yeah, I saw the mistake about being 2-0 already but jesus dude....its what happens when you post 500 of the same thing...it loses its effect.
Don't understand how Rondo can get raked across the eyes right in front of a ref without a call... Oh yeah, its the Miami Heat.
You should have known better than to assume that was gonna get called lol like wades liu kang kick to garnets knee/balls and the foul being called on KG, that being said cant believe Celts gave that shit away with a couple of undisciplined possessions (pietrus making dumbass fouls), at least it went to OT i knew it was going to OT when Wade didn't have the ball i knew lebron was bricking that shot 100%

The tech on KG was awful too. Sad to see Rondo get robbed like that after the greatest performance of his life.

There's only so much adversity a team can fight through... How huge is the loss of Avery Bradley, you don't see this idiot Pietrus come off the bench with him in the lineup.

Props to Boston playing the way they did as Banged up and injured they are maybe if they were healthy they would have a better chance against the West but the West has this title easily.

Who cares. The Spurs will facefukk either of these teams. Heat got bullshit call after bullshit call. It's all for naught.

Even though the Celtics lost, this game in my opinion puts Rondo in the Hall of Fame..... I don't care if he never plays another game, or win another championship.... The refs missed calls on both sides. Wide may have kicked KG, but KG was fouling Wade at the very same time, the call could have went either way. When the series goes back to Boston, they'll be getting most of the calls and the Heat will have to play through it.

At this point, the finals need to be Spurs vs Heat, because, the Heat is the ONLY Eastern team (besides Chicago) available that can beat the Spurs. The heat are good enought defensively to win a low scoring 73-75 point game against the Spurs.

Hall of Fame!?! LOL.

ease up there.

Ya....lets hold on a second..he only has 1 ring that is clouded by the fact that it was considered KG, PP, RA team at the time. Also, virtually every superstar will put up crazy numbers....Tracy McGrady put up like 62 one game.

The one thing I dont get about the C's is the perception that they are this championship dynasty that should be taken so seriously....uhhhh they only ever won 1 ring. They havent really done shit since then.....they have also never lead the league in standing since that one championship run.

I think the praise for them for out weighs what they have actually done.
I seriously can't believe it took this long for Rondo to have a game like that, especially considering no one guards him...ever.
I know...what is the deal with that? He isnt god damn 9th man on the bench. He isnt Adam Morrison or something. I just dont believe that a guy who posses Rondo offensive skill level couldnt be deemed a non threat on that side of the floor.

I want to give him his props because he has some crazy numbers but I am striking that game from the record. He didnt do it the D.Rose way by creating shots for himself...he just took wide open practice shots all game.

He usually doesn't hit the open jumpers like he did last night, hence why people play off of him most of the time.

Gives them more space to cut off his drives, while daring him to shoot. Obviously, if he starts hitting long jumpers with anywhere near the consistency he did last night teams will have to guard him more tightly.

Rondo had a very good game last night, and like others have said it is because no one takes him seriously. It just seems like he misses more than he makes in terms of wide open shots, and usually opposing teams take KG/Paul Pierce/Ray Allen more seriously in terms of scoring threats and Rondo happily throws up bricks. Great game for him though.

Not real sure what you're referring to, the NBA has been all about LeBron and D-Wade for some time now.

The Celtics won a title, went to game 7 of the Finals, got knocked out twice by a team that went to the Finals, and it'll probably happen again this year. They've consistently been a contender in the Pierce/KG/Allen window. How many contenders are in the league at any given time? 5? 6? What do you want when there are only 4 teams still playing?

Exactly. Plus every year that team has lost it pretty much always comes down to a devastating injury. 2009 it was Garnett, 2010 it was Perkins, last year it was the Perkins trade and the Rondo injury, this year it has been Ray Allen, Jeff Green, and Avery Bradley.

I don't even like the Celtics, but they have been snake bit on several occasions, which is why people always look at them as a viable championship contender when healthy. If Avery Bradley was healthy I think the Celtics would have won this series.

The East is a crap conference...if you were that good you would have gone to the finals more than 2 times in the last 10 years. You are the clone of the Mavs...been there once...won once....thats it. No one seems to be falling over the Mavs about being the prototype franchise to follow so I wont do it over the C's either.
The team you're talking about has only been together 5 years, so this "10 years" thing doesn't matter. You could do the same with any team ever: The Detroit Pistons only have 3 championships in 40 years, they are shit. That's all you've said. The first five years of that ten years doesn't apply to this team. This team has been together 5 years, so those are what we're talking about.

With that, this run that the new Big 3 have had is pretty damn impressive, and only topped by the Lakers in that same time span. Except that this team hasn't been bounced in the second round for two years running.
I just disagree..they are no better than the old school Heat team when it was Wade and Shaq. A one and done team.

The C's were a one and done team that gets a absurd about of undeserved credit. You can play the "if only" game if you would like. I choose you if only Greg Oden and Brandon Roys kneecaps werent made of pudding they would be a contender also.

All I am saying is this...the ONLY two teams that deserve any credit for being constant championship contenders is the Spurs and the Lakers...since they have both won a combined 8 of the last 13 fucking titles. I dont understand why Boston who is no different than the Pistons and the Heat and Dallas is magically consider the the greatest team ever assembled and the envy of championship pedigree. The last title before 08 was 86.

The Heat with Shaq were a contender for two seasons. That is it. They went to the ECF's and won a title. That is all they ever did. A healthy Kendrick Perkins in game 7 probably gives the C's two championships in three years. Since the Big 3 have been together they have won a title, bounced by the Magic who went to the Finals, went to game 7 with the Lakers in the finals, got bounced by the Heat who went to the Finals, and look like they are going to get bounced by the Heat who will go to the finals. Pretty impressive for a team that has a bunch of aging superstars. They have no first round exits and only lose to teams who go onto play for titles.

And people do call the Mavs a prototypical franchise. 11 straight playoff appearances, 10 straight 50 win seasons until this year, two finals appearances, and one NBA title make them a preeminent franchise in the league. They are the fourth most valuable franchise and have the longest current sell out streak in the NBA. They may not have had the success in the playoffs that they should have, but they have had a much tougher road to get to the promised land than anyone in the East (they should have won the title in 06, and they would have beat the Spurs in 03 if Dirk didn't get hurt). The only teams to win the West since 99 still are Dallas, LA, and SA.

Fixed that one little mistake, but otherwise, you're golden.

I forgot that series went 7, but I did mention the Garnett injury my previous post.

Yeah, that series had that Baby Davis game winner in Orlando. Crazy good series. Not as good as that Bulls/Celtics series, but good none the less.
Can we give the spurs a ring already?
Srsly. I enjoyed the playoffs for awhile but it has become abundantly clear that we're just killing time at this point.

The Heat won't get swept but I don't think they'll take more than a game. We shall see I suppose.

I wouldn't even be surprised if Thunder get swept, even though they are a better team than the heat if Thunder get swept then LOLheat wouldn't even have a chance. And to think Spurs have clippers to thank for getting rid of the grizzlies.

^
Thats what I was think back during that Game 7 between Clips/Griz.
I think the Spurs would have taken them, but the streak would have been over. 4-1.

Figures the only way Okc was gonna win is by hitting the luckiest shots, tip ins, etc and for the Spurs to beat themselves with these uncharacteristic possessions.
