I didn't realize people returned things at garage sales. I assumed it was an as-is thing. If someone came back to my house after a garage sale was over wanting to return something I would tell them to get lost. :)
well the difference is if they lie to you about it. it's a garage sale, not a "bring out my broken crap where you can't test it and I lie to you to so i scam some money sale"

If its a case of something that they're not sure if works or they know doesn't work but are selling it cheap because someone may be able to repair it but they're not sure, that's one thing.

I mean, you're inviting people to your home, start trying to scam the wrong person and see what happens.

Assume that all systems are broken and only buy if

A) there are games/controllers to cover your risk or
B) the console is for $5 or less

Such is the path of the Indigo *ninja*

First of all, I think he asked the seller if it worked, and seller said it did (which, as we know, was untrue). That right there overrules the as-is nature of garage sales, and implies a warranty on the item, which is grounds to take it back, based on the fact that the item was presented falsely.

And lastly, telling someone who is upset at you for selling them garbage to get lost when they know exactly where you live may not be a good idea... in fact it invites stress/drama to your life. But if you welcome it, that's on you.

Sonic 3D Blast for $2 CIB.

Finally ending the video game drought for me. Passed on the rest of the titles as I was low on cash (Sonic Spinball, World of Illusion, Columns, Mario Andretti Racing that I own) and Scheherazade for the SNES. May have to go back for the latter as I never heard of the title and it looks good.

Record score day! Highlights include:
Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother
War - Greatest Hits
Bob Dylan Greatest Hit's Vol. 2
History of Eric Clapton

Yeah I had a pretty good day too. Two sales were scummy people who thought their PS2 sports games were worth $10 apeice ("well, i could go as low as $8") Plus a sale I drove about 25 min out to that advertised all kinds of playstation and nintendo games, get there and there's nothing but 5 guitar hero controller accessories and a sealed PS2 spider man game. Awesome.

But two of the sales were very good for me. At least the best I've had since I started rummaging.

oblivion and Mass Effect Guides for 50 cents apeice.
N64 games were $3 apeice. Kind of high but they were two I wanted. Duke Nukem 3D for PC for .25.
I also got an official Sony PS3 Bluetooth Headset at this sale for $5.
WP_000202.jpg

this was right next to the big cocktease advertised sale that had the pile of guitar hero shit for $10 apiece.
$7.50 for everything pictured. No controller for the PS2 slim but it has its cables. Digimon World 2 is a good seller and the other PS2 games will go to best buy for $1.40 credit apiece.
I have a silver slim PS2 but that model has some problems with certain PS1 games that the original slim units do not so I may trade that one in at gamestop for the $25 and keep this one if it works perfectly.

Just stopped in at home for a quick pit stop...made some great scores this morning, on the way out for some more while I take care of some business (and hit a few sales along the way, specifically this one a few blocks away and that one.

I had to go out early this morning for business in some of the dicier industrial areas of southeast LA, so I looked for sales on craigslist that were near there that advertised the kind of stuff we look for. Went to Lynwood for one (aka COMPTON)...it's less a ghetto now and much more a barrio. But it was well worth it as I found a couple of non-craigslist advertised sales that yielded some great results.

Finally had a bit of luck at a garage sale, and by asking "You have any old games?" no less!

Red Dead was $2, the 3 Mek comics were $1 for all, the PS1 games were $10 for all (asking $15) and the NES games with the awesome case were $20 for the lot. The case is pretty snazzy, the top opens too and has sections for two controllers and a zapper etched into it. First sale I asked about games, when everything around was mostly little girls toys and clothes, as well as a lot of that drug store reseller type stuff. Guy pulls a box out of the shed in the back with a PS1 and those games, and asks $15. I counter with $10 and he accepts, says somebody just gave it to him but he wouldn't have any use for it anyway. Next sale I only stopped because of a cool painting I saw, but in a box of DVDs I found Red Dead, and he says $2 for anything in the box. I ask if they have any other gaming stuff, maybe some older junk, and a neighbor who was looking at the comics says he has some old Nintendo stuff, and comes back with that box. He said he had a bunch of SNES games too, but they were all listed on eBay. He starts muttering about $1 or .50 each and I ask how much for everything with the box, and we decide on $20. Grabbed the Mek comics on the way out for $1.

I live by this, if I know it isn't going to work for example, then I pay the price I would pay if the item was broken or else I don't buy it. If its a group of games then I am paying for the games and if the console works its a bonus for me. IF I am gonna spend more than $10 for a console and its one with a disk drive the seller better be willing to show me that it works.

There is a big video game drought here.

But I did get a Sprint Samsung Instinct phone for $1.50 with charger, not bad for a touchscreen phone. Should fetch me a few bucks on ebay.

On both Fri and Sat, I went to fewer sales than in July or Aug (maybe 20 for the weekend instead of 60).

Friday at one sale I picked up these (along with some DVDs and BRs):

I paid $4-5 for these three (their share of the total group).

Not pictured . . . later I also picked up a working GBC (no battery cover) for $2.50 Sounded like I missed out on some good Wii games at another sale because I went to the other side of town first.

Saturday I was pumped up because an ad featured: "Playstation 3 and games, controllers, N64 games, Ps2 games, super nintendo games" So I got there at 7:30 and they were setting up. I was the first customer. I spotted a pile of common PS2 games and nothing else. I asked about the rest. He had a PS3 (no games) for $200 and some N64 games. He brought out the N64 games and I picked out:

I paid $15 for everything pictured. Perfect Dark is sealed but pretty creased. I did find a few SNES games in a box (Super Tennis anyone?). The Prostreet came after more discussion. The PS2 demos were free. As usual, the ad creates a letdown.

2 different sales:

Paid $5 for sealed Wolfenstein and $6 for the pair of complete Wii games.

I hit a small goldmine in books at an estate sale. A bunch of education and curriculum titles (with a few DVDs and CDs thrown in) . . . Spent $50 for what must be at least $500 in listings--good time of year to sell most of them too. That find and the following made my weekend.

Lastly, I was trying to make my way out of a winding subdivision (after a dud sale and on my way to (what would be) a dud sale. When I hit an extra one. I walked up and didn't spot anything . . . I was about to ask about vgs when I finally zeroed in on some green cases:
0903360games.th.jpg

All minty, complete and marked $5. I pulled seven of the most flipworthy and said "would you take $25 for these?" The woman was so quick to say sure, I said in a joking tone "how about $20?" and she seemed OK . . . no problem. So, I just grabbed them all and said "I'll give you $30 for them." I really should have said $25 but I was feeling like a criminal at $30. She said her husband was done with them and didn't seem to care about the pricing. She said some kids had bought 2 others. I was happy to get these because it was already 10am.

For the first weekend (since early July), I didn't see a cheap copy of a PS2 GTA game . . . season must be ending.

any interest in selling the StarFox 64 or is it going to ebay?

2600 AC Adaptor - .25
Super C - 1
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - GOTYE (360, Complete) - 3
9 Genesis Games & 16 Atari Computer Games - 10

Found the AC Adaptor in a misc box and was asking price, this was actually the only thing I found on Saturday. Super C was from a return sale from last week, returned this week as the lady was going to be selling again and hinted at having some older video games lost around the house but this was all she found but thinks she has more around, was asking price. Oblivion was marked 5 but took 3.

The last find nothing was priced I saw the Genesis games out and asked about any other video games to which I was told about some "Atari" stuff in the attic. Mom went and asked the kids about it who were still hauling stuff out of the house for the sale and little did she know that they were actually out for sale - they were in the blue & yellow plastic containers in the picture which had their lids closed, a reminder to always look inside of things at yardsales. I offered 5 for all of the cart games and was countered with 10 which I took. Genesis - top row boxed, bottom row complete. Atari - Journey To The Planets is the game with the faded label and the XE games which are harder to read are Archon, GATO & Rescue On Fractalus!

Surprisingly enough I didn't own fuck, passed twice before when I saw it in system bundles and until this weekend only owned an empty case for it :D

P9030040.jpg

Okay, so there are my scores from the day. I actually ended the day with more yardsaling cash than I started with, as I sold an SNES console with hookups and 1 controller (no games) for $30 and only spent $28.50 total today. I passed up a TON of crap, just lousy bundles, games and consoles in awful condition and mostly did some cherrypicking.

1st purchase: stopped at 7-11 to get change before hitting the freeway, bought 2 bananas for a buck even.

2nd purchase: Metal Gear GBC, Harvest Moon GBC, DS Action Replay cart/disc = $1.50.
this was a sale I spotted that I thought was the craigslist advertised sale where I made purchase #3...which was a slight hassle to find as a couple of the streets were missing signs. This was down in the barrio close to where I was going to be taking care of some business. These areas are often a goldmine, with tons of sales all within a short distance of each other and all sorts of jewels in the rough, but also with most of the sales being crap and stuff that is generally not well cared for and taken care of.

As I walk up, a vato yardsaler was negotiating over the purchase of a small pile of GBA and GBC games from the purveyor, along with a couple of DVDs and crappy Wii shovelware games, a GBA SP, and a DS Lite.

I was very disappointed when I saw that, but this guy was not a pro as he stupidly left Metal Gear, Harvest Moon, and the DS Action Replay on the table, all of which I quickly picked up. I got a good look at his pile, and he had a ton of kiddy crap, Nickelodeon games and whatnot, so I suspect he was buying for his kid(s) and not to flip. Also noted 2 Pokemon GBA games in his pile, but they were blatant bootlegs. Still, would have been nice to get there a couple minutes earlier and cherry pick what he had, although he paid ochenta cinco ($85!!!) so fail on that.

Once he was done, I asked the lady and her son how much they wanted for these, lady said a dollar:D and the kid said five:roll:. I pulled out a buck and two quarters and CiF'd them and they accepted. Then asked where Rayborn, the street with the sale I was actually looking for, was, and was informed it was the next street up. Thus I proceeded to purchase #3.

3rd purchase: Mario Paint w/ pad and mouse, Megaman X, Super Ghouls n Ghosts, NES dogbone controller, Game Genie, Super Mario 3 = $12.
This sale was advertised on craigslist as having tons of old retro vintage games NES SNES N64 etc. Sure enough, all the systems were there, lots of other stuff as well, with about 10 games for each system. Unfortunately, the games were generally garbage, cart only, and stickered up...and the consoles were in meh condition. But I immediately noticed 2 dogbone controllers with the old original style NES, and picked those up. I then cherry picked Mario Paint with the mouse and the pad, Super Ghouls n Ghosts, Megaman X, Super Mario Bros. 3 which was inside the NES console, a few (like 5 or 6) other less notable N64, SNES, and NES games, and the game genie, and asked how much for the pile.

The one guy running the sale calls into the house for who I presume is his older brother to come outside. Once this individual comes out, he proceeds to tell me about some guy who said he was just running to the bank/ATM to get cash to buy the SNES and N64 bundles, and thus this guy was holding these bundles (including all the games/controllers etc. for them) for him:roll:. I told him I was here right now, with cash in hand, ready to buy, and that I had driven out quite far for his sale.

Finally I convince him to sell some of the SNES and N64 games to me, but he was asking ridiculous amounts for the stuff...saying the other guy was going to pay $100 for the SNES and N64 bundles:roll: (and with the bulk of it being crap, he was welcome to do so). He also brought out of the house a pile of about 20 or 30 PS1 games, and I don't think I've every seen a sorrier collection of PS1 games...lots of sports games and lots of greatest hits, but literally nothing of value. Nothing but green labels and gamedays.

He started with $15 asking price just for Mario Paint (!), and wouldn't sell me both of the NES dogbone controllers as he needed one to go with the system:cry: - he wanted to sell the NES bundle for $45 (with 10 or 12 mostly crap games and a questionable original NES), but I just kept working on him, removing the lesser games from my pile and kept offering $12 I had pulled out (2 fives and 2 singles to make it look like more:lol:) CiF.

He thought about it long and hard and finally, bitterly and grudgingly agreed. Mister ATM never came back in the 10-15 minutes while I was there, so no doubt the potential buyer was rethinking that purchase. BTW the highlight of the NES collection, Super Mario 3, was inside the console. Always remember to check those consoles even if you don't want the console itself!

4th purchase: Super Mario 3, N64 Command & Conquer = $2
On my way back after taking care of business in the morning, I hit another craigslist advertised sale right off the 10 freeway in the industrial corridor by the LA river. I was an hour after they were supposed to start, and they were just starting to set up so it was perfect timing. Asked about games, they dig out a bunch of junk including a beat up PS2 slim (no games in it or with it) marked $30, PS3 Genji marked $5, the nastiest looking NES console with stickers all over the thing, and NES and N64 games with those little stickers, each marked $5!!! Also of disgusting note, there were various blank DVD cases with nothing but white paper inserts marked "XXX" in permanent marker. I shudder to think if those were home movies aka amateur pr0n...gross.

Pulled out Super Mario 3 and N64 C&C (the only games worth buying), ignored the sticker pricing and asked how much, the woman said they were thinking $5 each but I told her I buy these games for $.50 or a $1 tops, she said she didn't know, so I just CiF'd her 2 singles, she asked her husband who was setting up and he just waved her off like go ahead and take it already. Done deal.

5th purchase: NES Console with some very nicely brown paper wrapped hookups and 25 games (highlights Megaman 3 4 & 5, Castlevania 3, Zelda, Super C, slightly chewed Maniac Mansion and others as shown in pic 2) = $10
This was after my previous post. I went to that Beverly Hills yard sale just a few blocks away. The thing about Beverly Hills yard/garage/estate sales is, they need to be registered with the city of Beverly Hills...you actually have to get permits from the city, and they take this sort of thing VERY seriously because they city issues very stiff fines and penalties.

While in most municipalities, communities, cities etc. you're actually supposed to get a permit to hold a yard sale, it is very rarely that such rules are actually enforced. In Beverly Hills, they are seriously enforced. So they are strict about what time they can start and end, parking etc. and city code enforcement officers will often be out there prior to and after these sales. They can also get PACKED because people often line up for them, hoping for crazy good deals and crazy good stuff.

So IIRC this one started at 10 am and I got there a few minutes after my previous post, around 10:30 or so. Didn't see much of anything that interested me, so I started through my list - toys, Legos, board games, video games, tapes, books blah blah blah. Lady told me she had some old video game "tapes" from her kids who moved out a long time ago and forgot all about them, tells some other people at the sale to take over, goes inside, and after about 10 minutes, brings out a couple of Trader Joe's bags filled with NES games and the NES console. She asks if I want them, I say sure, and ask her how much. She says she doesn't know, it's just taking up space since her kids didn't want it, make an offer. Maybe I offered to much, as I could've probably taken them off her hands for $5 or even free now that I think about it. but I had a ten so that's what I offered and she said sure.

Highlights were Mega Man's 3 4 & 5, Castlevania 3, Zelda, and Super C. Maniac Mansion is slightly "chewed" on the bottom. The rest are pretty much fine but I have most if not all of these mint complete but in storage, so I may just use these as playing copies. Note also the perfectly wrapped cables/wiring with the brown paper on some of them. OCD much?!?

Went to a few other sales on the way too and from afternoon errands, but nothing worth buying...certainly not at the asking prices or in the conditions I found them. That sale up La Brea in Hollywood was a waste of time...asking waaay too much for the comics and old toys and whatnot.

Good luck everyone...since we have sales pretty much year round, I'll keep trying to find stuff now that I'm back into it. Just when I thought I was out, CAG yardsaling pulls me back in...

Paid $1 each for the comics. I wish I had gotten to this sale sooner. They had 52 xbox games for $2 each, but wouldn't deal any lower for the lot. I don't know much about them, but I could tell osmone had cherry picked the good ones out. They also had PS3, Gamecube, and Ps2 games "this morning", but they were all gone when I got there.

Highlights: Death of Superman 1st print newstand, black bagged version, 1 full doomsday, and Transformers 20 in NM .

Another sale that is was late. "We had a whole bin of games" Paid $6 total. I could tell these were the scraps, but I can use some of them to dump extra consoles.

40036224.jpg

Paid $1 total. I think the 3d puzzle is complete as well as the LEGO mosaic (except the box) 6163 is the number.

b779de6a.jpg

Ahh crap. They had one of these, but I didn't want to drop $10 on it. :wall:

OK next season I am getting a smartphone.

Paid $6. GB SP charcoal and Mario Kart Super Circuit

1 more post to finish off August.

Asking is definitely a good idea. But the results aren't amazing. My findings are about this:

40% -- no
25% -- we're keeping them for ourselves
25% -- we sold them (yesterday or last year)
8% -- they bring out some crap that you really don't want
2% -- you score something worthwhile . . . usually a minor score
.01 -- you hit a jackpot

I'm still waiting for the last to happen :)
Ahh crap. They had one of these, but I didn't want to drop $10 on it. :wall:

I hate it when that happens . . . console yourself with the thought that it was probably missing a lot of parts.

I am at like 1% for asking for Video games, meaning out of all the houses I have asked at exactly one house brought something out for me. It was a really beat up copy of Donkey Kong Country for the SNES. I got it for 50 cents. While it could have been much worse this is the only thing I have gotten out of asking for video games... ever.

My problem seems to be a lot of people I ask don't even know what video games are....

asking doesn't hurt though.

9/10 of the sales I don't want any of their crap at ask me to buy tupperware or drugstore shit or some kind of crap, so I figure asking them for something I want is only fair.

Two of them I went to on the south side of milwaukee yesterday were just awful. Dirty, dingy people. Loads of PS2 sports games at $10 apeice, some shitty genesis games for $8.. what are these people thinking?

So, first weekend of September was a good one for me last year, and this one wasn't far off. Didn't do sales until Saturday, and the first one was a Pull-Of-The-Month:
10 for Smash, 5 for the GB Micro...thankfully, the kid of the house ran in and grabbed the charger when I showed interest. Can't believe these were still available on a Saturday.

1 for the ASCII pad, 10 for Zelda. A few totes caught my eye in this guy's garage, since they had the same stickers as stuff I find at an auction house I frequent. He pulls one out and it's a Platinum Gamecube with a stack of games. Tried to get the bundle for 20, no luck. Managed to talk him into letting go of Zelda for 10. Potential nemesis squashed. \\:D/
35 for this stuff. Won it at the aforementioned auction house. Nomad's beaten up, but it worked after some cleaning. Had NO idea about the Sega CD Backup Cart until I saw a loser CL post and did some research.

Great weekend. Hope I'm not setting expectations too high for the last month of sale season.

^^^Nice find on the backup cart / nomad lot! There is also a Sega Saturn Backup cart that is worth $$$ as well. Hmmm, I wonder if we hit the same auctions...

After the hurricane last week I was glad to find anything this week, but yeah...the season's pretty much over.

89ea6a12c9fdecd6a3018ba77d1be997.jpg

These were the only games I got...pretty good though!
:ps3: Gran Turismo 5 - $5
At first I thought it was Prologue which I saw and passed on a month ago for $15. Very nice deal!
:ds: Pokemon Platinum, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, GTA Chinatown Wars - $2 each

Also picked up this crazy board (?) game, sealed, for $1.
6ca66cdf3938b6ad054231044948998b.jpg

Looked pretty obscure and I thought maybe there'd be some profit to be had. No amazon or ebay listings though. Advice?
Edit: Holy fuck! http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...?ie=UTF8&qid=1315188947&sr=8-2&condition=used

One other pickup: :dvd: House season 1 for $2 (meh.)
First of all, I think he asked the seller if it worked, and seller said it did (which, as we know, was untrue). I don't really think it matters what the seller says. Garage sales are as-is. Period. Relying on the seller being scared that you are going to come after them if they don't refund your money is wrong and thinking that all sellers are honest is stupid.

I cannot begin to imagine how angry I would be if someone came back to my house after a yard sale claiming that they wanted their money back.

Like others have said, if you can't see it work, then it has to be priced like it doesn't.

Whoa chief, your logic seems to be faulty. If I ask you if an item works and we are not in a position to test the item, why wouldn't I trust you? We are at your HOUSE after all. I know where you live, so why would you lie? You have a point with a flea market, but not a yard sale.

Yeah i don't think expecting honesty from people at a yard sale is too much to ask.

And i don't think going back to their house after being lied to is overstepping your bounds either.

You ask if it works, and they should be honest. You're paying the price they're asking, after all.

You can't even imagine how angry you'd be? Over a yard sale item? I wonder what you're like in daily life . . . pretty cheerful.

Your logic would apply well to my case if the guy had priced the system for $30 or less. Had I paid $30 for it, I would've kept it. But he shot for the higher price and staked his honor on it by telling me it worked . . . and he looked me right in the eye as he said it.

Also, I came back within 2 hours . . . if 2 days had passed I would've been embarassed to return it.

First off, I can understand why you wanted to get your money back, and I am glad that you were able to. Based on what you said, though, it sounds like the guy thought that it worked. That is the best you are getting at a yard sale - what you see and what they say. Not to make this personal, but you paid quite a bit for a system that has an extremely high failure rate. Complaining about that after the fact seems disingenuous. For all you know it worked the last time he hooked it up.

As far as being angry about someone coming back, I would be. A yard sale is inviting people onto your yard or into your garage for a one-time, as-is, sale of should be cheap stuff. Obviously different people have different definitions of cheap, but people are generally trying to get rid of things.

Also, you can't even assume that the person actually lives there. It is common for people to have sales at other people's houses for traffic, convenience, or other reasons.

I wrote what I wrote simply to advise people with less GS experience that they cannot count on getting their money back, no matter what the seller says. It just doesn't typically work that way.

I'll finish the same way I did before - if I can't see it work, it has to be priced like it doesn't.

I'd like to think that people are honest, also. I don't think that you can necessarily count on it, however.

If you do not receive acquittance, leave nothing that casts a shadow.

I'm pretty sure that comes from the ancient yard sale text.

But yeah returns are common by me unless it is marked or you are told "as is" or "no returns".

In retrospect, (and therefore in the future) I would have played it differently.

I should've said, "let's test it out right now unless you will take $30" or "$60 but I'm coming back if I can't get it to work or instead why not $30 and I'll eat it if it dies."

Or, I should've just skipped it entirely as I do most times I see a 360 system.

I would also add that I have eaten tons of stuff (missing disc and parts and broken stuff) and this is my first return in many years of RSing.

I would be pretty angry if I bought something, paid $60 and it didn't work especially after being told it did. So yeah I am sure I would have gone right back to this guy's house as well and tried to get my money back. If the item was sold on the terms of as-is and I am not sure if its working then that would be a different story. When you are having a yard sale and selling more expensive things you have to remember that when buying from a house the buyers know where you live so you better not be lying about anything. Regardless of who's house it is I would imagine at least in my neighborhood if something was sold on the terms of it worked and the buyer got home and found that it didn't then they would probably come back and damage your house, car etc. as revenge. This guy is lucky the buyer just came back and wanted his money back.

Then again I wouldn't be paying that much for stuff without seeing it work unless it was a huge console bundle lot with lots of stuff to cover if some things don't work.

Punch Out wii $3, xbox games $1 each

Punch Out has a Nintendo rewards code int it. If someone could fill me in on this program I would appreciate it.

$4. More than I like to pay for anything, but it is pristine. (It also has a rewards code in it)

Everything Pictured FREE (at 2 different sales) The GB carts were in a "free" box and the N64 stuff was all in the Mario Golf box.
I asked about games (as usual) and she said her husband didn't want to get rid of any, but they do have an oddball one. She pulled out the Mario Golf box and I got excited.
She told me I can have it. Unfortunately the Mario Golf game is not in the box, but I know I have a loose copy somewhere in the Abyss.

SEALED Stratego $3.50 wouldn't deal (but it is worth $$ on amazon)

This sale was on my street with 2 cute college girls running it. I asked about games and got the usual "No".
But my new tactic is specifically asking about gameboy systems and games because pretty much every girl I talk at a sale had one at some point even if they did not have a console.

She said "We had a couple of the old gameboys...Would you like me to get them?"
"Sure I'll take a look".

This is what she brought out. I paid $10 for everything.

Nice GB pickup and great strategy . . . I'm going to try it. One thing I would add about asking for videogames at sales is that the more you can get them thinking the greater the chance they remember something and a big part of that is to keep talking. So, working out keywords is a good idea . . . I often say "even as old as Atari" because that seems to get wheels turning for some older people.

It's so sad that there is no arcade perfect port of Killer Instinct 1 available.

And yet, despite the false bravado and misplaced anger/rage at being caught on bullshit, you would provide a full refund for said item, with a smile on your face, then tuck your tail between your legs and slink back into your house. GUARANTEED.

It's a basic rewards program that's been launched in NA since 2008. You can create an account at https://club.nintendo.com/ . Those cards give you a certain amount of points (surveys involved) which you can use to get free swag items off of their website. And if you hit at least 600points a year, you get a year-end reward as well.

Wii games are worth 50
DS games are worth 30
Not certain on 3DS, probably still 30
You can get bonus points for things like preregistration and postplay surveys.

Only Nintendo published games in NA have the codes.

There's a wikipost here on CAG discussing it -- http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244943

There was a new sale advertised on Sunday . . . listed DVDs which they didn't have :whistle2:(

Asked about games and the guy brought out a stack of PS2 commons . . . wanted $2 each. Got this one for $1:

But I also saw GTA3 . . . which keeps my (find-a-GTA-game-every-week) streak alive!

On my way home, I saw a Sat-Sun sale that I missed on Sat. They had a box of PS2 and PS1 games and said they sold a bunch on Sat. . . . damn. I did get these for $5:

The discs are very nice on the SHs (SH3 has the soundtrack disc) but Spyro has no disc . . . it was a last-second throw in and I didn't check it . . . Doh! Paid $5 for the group.

Not amazing deals for me, but since I barely go to yard sales, I was excited with my finds.

I was away this weekend in NH and my friends convinced me to go out with them. We only went to about 15 sales but was fortunate enough to find some game related stuff at two of them.

No system unfortunately, but was only $0.50, so can't complain at all.

As for the following, I offered $8.00 for the lot of which it was accepted. I should have gone $5.00, but meh.

I can make my money back plus a little profit on the N64/SNES games, but was mainly excited for the NES game case and the instruction manuals, as none of the NES games are quite that spectacular (although, they are in absolute pristine condition).

Thanks!

Can I say you referred me so you get points for filling me in on the program? Or does Nintendo not have anything like that?
