(Just giving a few updates to my fellow fans of older hardcover CE guides, as I have done in the past.) All of these guides are recently hard to get in the US (aside from eBay)... but are still importable from Amazon UK.
All prices are converted to USD. (FYI: Even with Prime, you still pay for import shipping to the US.)

- Dead Space 2 (yes, two) is now fading into OOP status. $28.71

- Bioshock 2 - $19.33

- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - $23.57 (This is FuturePress... get it while you can!)

I was really, really hoping Piggyback would've been the one to handle this, since they did Uncharted 3. I'm afraid BradyGames won't do such an excellent game justice

Same here, I was hoping PiggyBack would be doing The Last of Us. BradyGames and Prima are sort of hit and miss on quality.

I received my Bioshock Infinite LE guide in today. It's a little smaller than I expected, but that keychain looks pretty spiffy.
 
Would it be wise to wait for the Bioshock Infinite limited edition strategy guide to come down in price? Or will it just go up with time? I'm not sure if I should bite just yet....

BioShock Infinite guide for $17ish incl. shipping on Amazon via pbshop third party seller. Shipped from the UK though, so it'll most likely take longer, but I'm in no hurry.

Amazon UK has it at a similar price via their 3rd party sellers too. I guess the guide is a lot cheaper over there.

Bit on this. Came to 17.10 shipped, no tax. Will take 2.5-3.5 weeks to get to me, but I've got an unopened Tomb Raider and Dead Space 3 to deal with in the meantime, so I don't mind waiting. The art book is being done by Dark Horse, has there been any pics of it yet?

There's a small pic of one of the pages on the back of the BI manual, but that's all I've seen. The pic shows some songbird mockups.

Can anyone who has the CE version of the gears guide give their opinion about the quality of it? Also the included weapon skin sells for nearly the price of the guide on ebay, so that is another factor.

It is a very nice, high quality guide. The kind of hardcover that 'cracks' when you open the book for the first time. (I nerdily love that.) The weapon skin is cool too, sort of looks like a giraffe.
 
Thanks, I think I will go ahead and purchase it then. It does not seem to be in the massive quantity that the halo 4 CE guides were.

I keep checking Amazon to see if they had listed the Last of Us LE guide and since it hasn't shown up yet (at least since the last time I checked before writing this out), I'm beginning to wonder if it's a Gamestop Exclusive. I really hope not, because I'm not too keen on spending $40 for a guide anymore (only for the local one to either "lose" or sell mine after paying in full, again.)

It cracks me up when I see that. The Bioshock Infinite key that comes with the CE guide also sells on eBay for about the same cost as the guide. Do people not research this stuff before they bid?
 
Sweet. Locked it in. I'm hoping it drops to around the $21 mark before release! *sigh* I still need to replace my PS3, hopefully before this comes out.
 
Updated OP with The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker CE Guide (Wii U HD Remake).
Details are sparse so far, but if it follows history, it will be hardback with a cloth map included, and the guide itself may suck.


In other news, it looks like The Last of Us is coming with a keychain. Brady has been throwing in these bonuses lately like the Tomb Raider amulet and the Bioshock bird cage key.

Dam, now I need to get a Wii U when this does come out. Might just buy the CE guide and wait on getting the game later unless it gets a CE as well.

I think that has to be the biggest guide yet, as there were some that topped in the 600+ pages (Fallout 3 GOTY CE, at least), though I can't think of one that was over 1,000 pages.

I'm gonna speculate, that the Skyrim Legendary CE guide, will have a limited first print run like the OG Skyrim CE guide did, and could make this VERY rare so one of the few guides that I think could sell out.
Also I have no use for that windwaker guide XD I bought a OG Gamecube windwaker guide for $9.99 two months or so ago :)

You know, if Best Buy ends up carrying it, I could use the 50% off a guide coupon (expires 7/31) from my Welcome Packet to bring it down to $24.99...but is it at all possible for such a beast of a guide to be sold in-store? :whistle2:k

Otherwise, I'll probably use that coupon on the Last of Us CE guide (bringing it down to $17.49) since that has a better chance of being sold at a BBY location.

I order it to make sure I'm getting one and then just watch the price via camel^3. It'll always show the cheapest price, so I know what I should get when it ships.

If Best Buy does carry it, that might be as cheap as you'll find it, though even some of the ridiculously large guides have been around $23-$25 on Amazon at time of release, if not cheaper.

I hope the Last of Us guide pushes a couple more dollars off! It's not that I'm cheap.. it's just June is gonna squeeze my wallet lol.

I'm sorely.. sorely tempted by that Skyrim guide. 1,200+ pages. The first guide was like half that!

I'm betting the Skyrim Guide will be available from Bestbuy (hopefully). So I will be able to PM it there if amazon does a discounted guide preorder like they usually do.

My welcome packet coupons were only good for a month >.>

Otherwise, contact a BBY rep on their forums, explain the situation, and you should (hopefully) get a link to a new set of coupons. That's what I did when the welcome pack I didn't get until last month had the 4/30 expiration date.
