Are people genuinely excited for the new GoW? I mean, it got old for me after the second game and obviously this is a complete revamp but it looks too Uncharted, Last of Us, Horizon. . .and on and on. A little too formulaic IMO.

Literally the only reason I'm having to hold onto Amazon Prime is b/c I have that as a pending order with the free shipping and if I cancel it's going to cost more since the price has gone up since I ordered.

Future Press guides now seem to be Amazon exclusive as the Horizon guide never released outside of Amazon.

Don't worry, I was in the same boat too. I was burned out by the end of God of War III and thought it was just an okay game. I didn't even play Ascension or whatever the next game was. Wasn't too hype up about this until I started hearing what people reactions were and started seeing the insane graphics.

I got the game at launch and have yet to even open it. I’m considering statrting it tonight. I waited for two reasons... I don’t trust any game st launch anymore, and NNK2 has had some game breaking bugs that were just fixed. And I’d like to have the hardcover guide to use while playing, just like I did with the original game.

I waited 2 weeks after release and then after it got pushed back a month I just played through the game on my own and cancelled the guide. I finished the game and have done probably 95% of the side/post content. I love the game by the way. I've played a ton of JRPG's in my time and this is easily one of my favorites.
