I don't know if this was mentioned, but it's been reported that 320 exotics are dropping from the Silver trials bounties rarely . . .
Yeah, if and when they do drop... But keep in mind they aren't 320 exotics, they are
up to 320. They can be anywhere from 310 to 320. I've gotten 5 Silver packages so far, and only the very first had a 310+ and that was a 313 Light Beyond Nemesis. The other 4 have given me blue freaking engrams.
Sometimes I really hate this game. I got a final Trials run in last night with a friend and a rando from LFG. We actually worked pretty well together and on our first card got up to 4 wins pretty easily. But like so many times before, we just couldn't get that fifth win to get the stupid helmet. That was all I wanted - not looking to go flawless or even make it to 7 wins for the sniper rifle. But no... And of course we lost those games like 5-4 and 5-3 so as usual it was so close but no dice.
Then to top it all off I
finally got some armor from a gold package (first time in 5 tries) but of course it was a duplicate of the one and only armor piece I've gotten so far from the new Trials: boots for the Warlock. That was the only piece I managed to get last week when Broly and his friend helped me get to 5 wins. At least this pair was 307 vs. the 303 I got before so I infused these into the older ones. I also got another Warlock bond that actually dropped at our first win - didn't think that was possible. Of course that is also the only class item I already had - nothing dropped on my other two characters. My friend also got a class item and it dropped at 310 while mine was 303 or something. Sigh...
And despite all this I'm thinking of picking up the $35 Taken King for PS4 from the Black Friday sales. I know Target will have it for that price and usually these stores all have the same deals, so if I can get it at Best Buy with GCU (and online) I might just do that,
Need some weapon advice if you guys dont mind. I got in a lfg group at Oryx this morning and ended up getting the Scout at 300 and the Hand Cannon at 309. The Scout has full auto and I like it so far and the Hand Cannon has firefly and it is a beast up close since the range is kind of lacking on. I also have a 296 Hung Jury that is my go to weapon since I bought it from the Dead Orbit vendor. Now my question is should I just keep the hand cannon or infuse that 309 into on of my scouts and which one should i do it to?
Also i ran the daily twice and did not get any marks this morning did that happen to anyone else?
Are your marks capped out at 200? That happens to me all the time. I couldn't even cash in my Trials bounties until I went and bought my last remaining Year 1 upgrade: Bad Juju.
As for the weapons, I know I'm in the minority, but I love the Raid hand cannon (with firefly) and it was the first weapon I infused up to 310 and I use it for the middle parts of the Raid. Firefly is great for the Totem and Warpriest because you can take out groups with one shot. Though the range and lower ammo capacity can be a bit of a problem at the Totems. I just got the full auto Scout rifle from hard mode (at 319 - my best drop so far) and I was using it in strikes last night. I really don't like it - it doesn't seem to do very much damage. I think I can take things out much faster with my hand cannon.
My loadout for hard mode is this:
Portal: Zhalo Supercell (310), Raid shotgun (308 - though I think I got a 314 one last week), Raid rocket launcher (318). I like Zhalo here because the chain lightning is awesome for the groups of Taken at this part.
Totems: Raid hand cannon (310), Black Spindle (314), Raid rocket launcher (318). As I said above, sometimes the range causes problems but being able to take out 2-3 thrall with one shot is nice. It also staggers the Knights whereas I don't think the scout can do that. I do occasionally run out of ammo during this part though - just have to try to run out of the way sometimes when switching to pick it up.
Warpriest: same as Totems. Since the enemies are usually much closer here, the hand cannon is great. Being able to stagger the yellow knights is nice. The hand cannon is the next best thing to having a shotgun which you generally don't have equipped here because you need a sniper for Warpriest.
Golgoroth: same again. Firefly is good here, too, for taking out multiple thralls/acolytes.
Sisters/Oryx: This is where everyone switches to Touch of Malice of course. For a secondary I use a 1000-Yard Stare at 315, and then same 318 rocket launcher I used for the rest of the Raid. Though on my last hard mode raid, I did switch to a 317 raid machine gun. It is nice having the machine gun for the shade of Oryx as it can be dangerous to fire rockets in there with people jumping around and the occasional Taken thrall up in your face. So I will probably do that from now on.
I have one more Raid clear (just Oryx) to get on my Warlock. I'm debating just using LFG for a Normal clear (to get a helmet possibly) or to just try for hard mode. It worried me a bit that if I try hard mode this late in the week I'll end up with a group that has had trouble and I don't want to spend hours on it.
